Hotel is very well located, everything is very closebuy. The internet was superbad, we travelled as a couple and bed was 2 small beds and not even on heights so it was nasty. Breakfest was poor and same as hotel welcoming and waitresses as well. I think they just hate tourists

We booked two double rooms at this hotel for a visit to Madrid the weekend before Christmas. It's in a great location. It's right on the Gran Via so is central for the shops/museums and also very near the tube station. Staff were fine on our arrival and the rooms were as advertised. However room sizes vary. We had one good sized room with a bath/shower overlooking the Gran Via. The second room had a balcony, a shower room (no bath) and the room was smaller. We didn't book breakfast as there ... This place has the grumpiest staff I have encountered on my current trip to Spain. When you arrive there is no 'holla', just 'passports!' Similar attitude at breakfast and in most dealings with the front desk. The hotel seems to be mostly staffed with old blokes and I'm afraid there are some jobs, such as customer service, that we are not suited to. Lack of free wifi was another shortcoming as was absence of a bar fridge in the room. Another problem that may have been unique to our level (3rd) w... Read more

Hotel was centrally placed, clean, tidy. We were given single beds but they changed us the next morning to a double. Rooms quite, everything was good. Showers were great. Metro was 5 Euros from the airport and we walked everywhere. I did think the hotel was expensive per night.

Just returned from a 5 night stay at the Regente. Have stayed here twice before and always been happy. The location of this hotel is excellent, on the Gran Via, and just steps away from lots of shops and restaurants, and not far from Sol, or Plaza Mayor. The price for a hotel of this quality and position is so good! If we stayed at a similar hotel in London, it would cost 3 or 4 times more. This time we booked rooms with a view of the Gran Via, and I expected that would mean we'd just be ab... Read more

The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean. The rooms have a security box and fast WiFi. A person could not ask for a more conveniently located or more economical place to stay in Madrid.

Dears, I have called you several times trying to reach someone from the reservation as my travel agency had made my reservation mistakenly on the 11th of November till 15th of November instead of Same dates on December as my visa permit does not allow me to enter Madrid before 11th of December. Your kind and prompt support is highly appreciated

I would say that after a long search for a centrally hotel, I choose this one and now I can say that I did a perfect choice. The hotel is located great, very clean and organized rooms and you don't really need more than that ! The rooms are not big (even small) but it is not an issue because most of the day you are out of the room so who care about the square meter of the room. Highly recommended to book this hotel No experience with the breakfast, I choose a room without breakfast Enjoy

This is a distinguished older hotel in the heart of Madrid - a few minutes' walk from the Gran Via and Puerto del Sol. Downtown Madrid is literally at your doorstep here! Rooms are recently renovated - they're modern, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I loved the old world feel to this place but with the updated, state-of-the-art rooms. I had a small room for one person. It was quite efficient, cozy, everything I needed. Small but comfy bed, good size tv, with channels in most languages, ... Read more
