I spent three nights here during a weekend in early May. The weather in Madrid was unseasonably cool and rainy, and I found this hotel sort of ill suited for having to stay in when I would have rather been strolling around Madrid. It is a bit out of the way. All of the city's attractions are easily reachable on foot or by Metro, but the rain kept me from enjoying the location. My room was fairly small, but perfectly serviceable and clean. The bed was reasonably comfortable, and the heating sys... Read more

My friend and I stayed here for three nights. The staff were all extremely friendly, the room was fantastic and the food at breakfast was delicious. This hotel is right in the center of town and easy to get to just about everywhere. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel conveniently located near city was spotless bed comfortable and 3rd floor which I was on was quite quiet, also reasonably priced.highly recommended! The hotel sits at the south of the city centre and has a metro station just across the HUGE roundabout.

This is an excellent (but basic) hotel conveniently located near city centre, generally about a 30 minute walk to most places of interest. Our room was clean, bed comfortable and our room on the 2nd floor to one side of the hotel which was not at all noisy despite the heavy traffic and numerous cafes about. The hotel is at the south of the city centre with a metro station a short walk from the hotel. By taxi the railway station is only about 15 minutes away and a 12 euro fare. There is a rat... The hotel is nicely situated in the heart of Madrid city. Rooms are nice clean and comfortable. however the rooms with triple beds are abit congested and there is no much space to open suitcases. we stayed there for one night and liked the place. close range access to many restaurants and the metro as well.

The hotel is very good located, very clean and the service is very good. Although it is in the centre, it is not noisy. THe rooms are quite Ok. I recommend this hotel to anyone. Thanks to Hotel Puerta Toledo for making our trip comfortable.

I walked from here to all the places in Madrid I wanted to visit. A little far from the station but it has good connectivity via buses. Good Friendly Staff who are very accomodating. They changed the room to a bigger room without a fuss when one of my friends decided she wanted to join me midway through our stay. Good breakfast spread which is very typically Spanish. Overall a very pleasant experience.

We chose this hotel as part of a BA deal. It's a 1 minute walk from the metro station and you could walk to the city centre if you wanted to. The rooms were clean and spacious with great views over madrid. The bathroom was big, light and airy. The wifi worked well. All night concierge. Well secured. No breakfast or bar facilities but close to many Amenities so you can always get something a short walk away. We liked it.

The breakfast was quite good but I suggest to add assorted vegetables to the breakfast'. and more kind of omelets and eggs. The toaster did not work properly had to make about 3 cycles to get a good toast.

Stayed three nights ( one on arrival and two on departure). Walking distance to most places of interest including Plaza Mayor and Sol, Palace etc - even Prado just 25 minutes away- excellent location. Average breakfast and size of room just ok. Staff were very helpful. Recommend.

Stayed for 2 nights in this hotel, really loved the location - very close to all the tourist sights and a very central location for getting transportation etc. The breakfast was very good and though the room was a bit small, it was compact and quite comfortable. I would definitely like to stay here again

So stay at this hotel... it's cheep, clean and altogether reasonable. But warning, if you get scammed by a thieving Madrid cabbie don't bother telling the front desk... despite the fact they have a cab stand on their property... because they don't care. 8th time in Spain. Never had issues like I did this time. Country needs to get its overpriced rail system, it's scam artists cabbies and total lack of customer service in check. If I complained about a thieving cabbie in Amsterdam, anywhere in ... Read more

A modern, clean, good value hotel in great location within 30 minute walking distance of city centre and just 10 minute walk to a busy area with lots of Tapa bars and restaurants to enjoy. Rooms were very good, spacious enough for a 3 night city break stay. The breakfast was not up to much, only eggs were scrambled and sausages and bacon not to our taste. Would recommend having breakfast out.

I stayed here on the spur of the moment, when I missed my flight. The room was pleasant and a welcome sight after dragging a suitcase around Madrid! The air-con was sublime. The staff at check-in and check-out were fine. I did not eat there but it seemed that it would be a nice place. The shower was amazing though!

This hotel is idealy situated if you plan a schort visit to Madrid. The metro station nearby brings you all over town. But if you want to see the city its only 10-15 minutes walk to the royal palace, or Plaza Mayor. Nice Hotel, the breakfast is superb and varied, friendly and helpfull staff. Modern and clean room and bathroom.

Took a week break to Madrid by myself. The hotel is very centrally located - right on the metro stop Puerta Del Toledo. 3-4 changes from the airport (about an hour). The hotel is within a mile of Plaza Mayor, the Palace Real (royal palace), the Madrid Cathedral. There are a few cafes and tapas bars around you as well if you decide to walk toward the Palace - you pass through the Latina district (known for it's bars and evening atmosphere). It is located on a very busy roundabout - but if you... Read more

Stayed here for 3 nights recently. It was in a great location close to the metro which takes you all over the city. We stayed bed and breakfast. The breakfast was quite good. The room was small but very clean and had all we needed. We had an internal room which was quiet. The staff were very helpful. And house keeping is excellent I would have no problem recommending this hotel. Metro from airport will leave you across the road from hotel.

This hotel is very handy for sightseeing, only a short walk to the palace and Plaza Mayor and a metro station the other side of the roundabout. I used the metro to get from the airport, only 5 euros, it took around 45 mins, you change twice, this was easy as I only had a small case but there are stairs at both connections and quite a lot of steps at the puerta del toledo station, which could be a problem if you have heavy luggage. I used the 'hop on hop off ' sightseeing bus, which stops a few m... Read more

I spent a enjoyable vacation week at Hotel Puerta de Toledo last month, and I had a nice stay there. The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast is good, and the staff were very friendly and thoughtful. The hotel location is great, right in front of a subway station, so you could go to main Madrid´s tourist spots just a couple of stations away...I recomend this hotel for sure!

This hotel is quite centrally located. The rooms and bathrooms are a bit small but OK and the beds are comfortable. The hotel is on a busy roundabout and the traffic never stops. Our room on the third floor had incessant traffic noise, clearly heard 24 hours per day even when the windows were shut tight. The nearby fire station and hospital added to the noise with sirens going all night. The breakfast was fine, with good bacon, a small selection of cold meats and cheeses and bread. It would have... The hotel was clean, friendly, good location to central Madrid. Bar staff friendly and always helpful regarding use of their microwave auto heat baby milk/food. Taxi rank directly outside useful for journey to airport. Good pressure water in bath and shower always had hot water.

The hotel is very well located, 20 to 30 min walks to most famous Madrid places. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. The only one drawback is the Internet service - you get free use of up to 3 devices per room, which for double room - two persons accommodated - each one with mobile and laptop, is not really customer-oriented service.

We came here as a weekend getaway. This hotel has a perfect location for being close enough to all the touristy locations but also far enough away to be immersed with all the locals. The hotel is a stone throw away from the metro, so it's ridiculously easy to get to from the airport. The front of house staff are mediocre though, they are friendly on arrival and departure but they didn't seem to go out of there way to help you, as one night I needed a plaster and I had to google the closest p...
