We requested a room with a view and when we arrived we were given the option between two different rooms! The room was clean and comfy with a small balcony that over looked the plaza. The receptionists were extremely helpful with everything from directions and booking train tickets for us. We also opted for breakfast, it's a great selection of fruits, hot foods and pastries. Great location for food and not far at all from a few different metro stations. Also walking distance to the botanical gar... Read more

staff do actually speak english, and care about you having a nice time, hotel is nice - although there were some renovations going on in the hotel (the noise was minimal) - amazing location on the santa ana square although main entrance on the side road, there is an extra set of doors providing noise blocking from the square at night... all in all a pretty good and central spot to stay... at least one english channel on the tv might have been good... and having to pay to use the safe in the room... We stayed at hotel Miau for a weekend. The room was tiny, the bed was tiny and the heating didn't seem to work. The walls are paper thin and we could hear the neighbours actually going to the toilet, not just the flushing of the toilet. There were cigarette burns on the furniture which just looked unsightly and tatty. The staff where very helpful and friendly, as where the cleaning staff. The shower was powerful and hot. There was one plug point in the main room and we had to charge electrical i... Read more

Last minute stay in this hotel and the receptionist was so helpful it was great. We had issues with another reservation and the guy at the desk was so helpful and understanding it made everything better. The room was small but clean and the service was 1st class.

We have been visiting the Hotel Miau for a number of years and found it convenient, reasonably priced and relatively comfortable. We were telling a cousin how much we enjoy visiting Madrid and she and her husband decided to come with us for a short break. We contacted the hotel months ago and received confirmation that we could have the rooms we had requested overlooking the Plaza Sta Ana. We asked for our usual room for our cousins and we were having the room next door. At check-in, the gr... Read more

Make no mistake - this is not the Ritz. Some of the fixtures are cheap (the shower doors came off the tracks, and the electrical outlets were stiff), and the interior decoration featuring large pop murals and blue lights won't be to everyone's taste. But who really cares? The location is superb, the price very affordable, and the staff bent over backward to help us. They held bags after checkout for those leaving later in the day, helped us find our way around Madrid, booked a taxi for us with n... Read more

Miau is in a great location, on the plaza st ana so in very close proximity to lots of cafes and restaurants as well as a 10 minute walk from the puerto del sol. We did experience a few problems- the walls are so thin and it is next to a busy plaza and so we were woken up early on several occasions by noises both inside and outside the hotel. The shower door did not extend the full way across the bathroom and so using the shower at full power flooded the bathroom. One of our camp beds was unstab... Read more

Good location, good staff, good room, good breakfast, good stay - to sum it up. Location was in walking distance of most of the main attractions (husband had knee replacements a year ago). Staff were very helpful and pleasant (24 hour reception). Room was as expected and cleaned well daily and aircon worked. Breakfast was 2 doors away and worth the money in our opinion. We really enjoyed our stay and will return if we go back to Madrid.

Good hotel, close to Plaza San Ana, the heart of the Madrid's movida. The hotel is 400 mt far from the nearest metro station (Sol); during the night is easy to hear the noise from the other rooms. The breakfast is good, in a room that is just out of the hotel, 5 mt I mean. The reception is very available and kind.

The room was clean and well kept and comfortable, was well located with Plaza Santa Ana just around the corner and other tourist site nearby, the amenities where just right for its cost. The staff was very kind, helpful and polite.

This is a small hotel and a great value,.but much more important to me was the location and the people. It is just a quick walk from the trifecta of museums, great churches, plaza Major, Sol, Palace, Retiro garden,........ The staff as very helpful. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Being right in the middle of so many things to see and do really made our trip. Don't give our taxi the address, it's too small a calle. Just say Plaza Santa Ana and you'll be right there
