Location - 20 minute walk from city centre. Service - untrained, poor guest services, more below. We pre-paid for parking on booking.com (which the hotel promotes at the front desk) but ended up not renting a car so wouldn't be using it. On arrival we asked if there was anything they could do to refund us. They explained that since the reservation was through booking.com they couldn't do anything. They encourage guests to use booking.com and have a large promotional sign for them at the fron... Read more

This is a very stylish hotel, conveniently located for visitors, particularly to the Palacio de Congresos which is almost next door. The rooms are nice, with good beds, Service at the reception desk is very good. However, we did not have a good stay. We had asked particularly for a quiet room, but our first floor room had a connecting door to the adjoining room, so every word of our neighbours' conversation was audible. On the second day while resting at lunchtime, new guests arrived next door a... Read more

We stayed here one night in early May 2016 after our previous lodging, in the center of Granada, proved too noisy. This hotel was like paradise in most respects, again, compared to other hotels we were in in Granada and elsewhere in Spain. We got a package deal that included the breakfast buffet, and I'd say it was the best breakfast we had in 2 1/2 weeks in Spain. The options were many, including yogurt, fresh fruit, hot and cold cereals, many pastries, toasts, ham, fresh fruit juices, and s... Read more

We stayed two nights in Feb, the hotel is located at the edge of the tourist destinations but not conveniently near the Alhambra entrance, or the Arab quarters and Albaicin. The hotel itself is however quite grand, bed and room sizes are extra largem the bathrooms are great too. We did not opt for breakfast (found it too expensive). We did seek some help on Alhambra tickets and how to get there etc. but were misguided or shown indifference. I recommend staying somewhere close to the Fountain squ... Read more

First impressions were that reception staff need to learn how to smile. I don't understand why this is so difficult for so many hotels. Hotel has an underground car park which is handy but is quite tight for space, not ideal if you have a large car! Book parking in advance if you intend taking your car. Bed was very comfortable and room was clean and well fitted out. No tea / coffee facilities in room which was a let down. Minibar prices were not excessive though. Shame they didn't restock it d... One of the nicer esthetically pleasing hotels on our trip through Spain with rooms that did not disappoint. Wonderfully large rooms with bathrooms to match, that were clean and well appointed. Unfortunately, I cannot remember for sure, but I do not believe there was a coffee maker in the room, so check with the hotel. There is a wonderful pool area, however it was to cool to use, though it looked very inviting. The hotel is not close to the center of town, though of course there is transportatio... Read more

On September, 2015, I joined a Gate 1 tour and stayed in Hotel Saray for only one day. This hotel has a very beautiful and sparkling pool area, with the mysterious, middle eastern influence in the architecture. It is a perfect example of the East meets the West! When I walked into the pool area, a guy from Ireland, showed me how true and wonderful this statement is and I was feeling so Hot and breathless!----about the beauty this hotel has to offer! If you were looking to book this hotel because you are Expedia or Orbitz VIP, don't bother. I booked on Orbitz being one of their program's top tier members, but was not given anything extra or even noted by this hotel. We were originally assigned a room on the 6th floor that was not renovated, with the A/C barely working at all. Furthermore it was a twin room but they said there were no doubles or twins put together (common in Spain) at all. After not being able to sleep due to the temperat... Read more

This hotel looks very grand and we particularly loved the decor and pool area. The rooms were spacious and had all needed for our 2 night stay. The location is hard to find if using public transport but after getting familiar with our location we found it very convenient and a pleasant walk across the bridge to the city area. The staff were very helpful.

If you're on business, this will be a good hotel with very nice spacious and modern rooms. If you want to enjoy the holiday spirit, look elsewhere. The pool are is OK, considering the location, but nothing special. Service is tailored to efficiency and masses of tourist, not to personal smiles. The main problem is what we call the "Breakfast Bunker". In the basement, without windows, with a low ceiling and totally packed with noisy tourists and crying kids. The noise is terrible. Room was cleaned everyday and cleaners always came back if you were in at the time, which was great. The room itself was very big and modern. Staff were always friendly and very helpful. There was always plenty of parking space in the hotel's secure parking. It was about a 10 minute walk to the centre of town, which for us wasn't an issue. It's a very simple route in to town. Booked relatively late - about 2 to 3 weeks before our stay. We chose this hotel for a stay in Granada as it was the most central hotel with air con and a pool we could find. Requested nonsmoking room but it clearly smelled of smoke, hotel confirmed it was meant to be nonsmoking but gave us a new room with no fuss. Easy, cheap and regular buses into the centre, would recommend getting the top up card to save even more. Pool was a God send in the heat, gets busy in the afternoons though so n... Read more

It was a good walk in to the main town area but we enjoyed the walk - we took a taxi to Alhambra because it was definitely too far to walk. Our family of 5 stayed here in May 2015. The grounds are immaculate and gorgeous to look at, and we enjoyed seeing the fountains and the pool. The lobby is grand and speaks of luxury, and the rooms are spacious and contemporary in style. The beds are comfortable, and the bathroom and shower area are very modern and luxurious, too. The staff was very helpful and friendly. This hotel is also within walking distance of a lot of what Granada has to offer. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Generally a choice of hotel is made balancing a number of factors, for example location, cost, facilities and parking. The case of the Saray Hotel in Granada was no different. The hotel is of medium size and offered, importantly for us, a pool, a good bed and breakfast rate and a location within walking distance of the centre of the city, for us that is about ten to fifteen minutes. The Alhambra was a little further away. The hotel did say that there was a bus that leaves nearby which would hav... Read more

Saray hotel has an excellent location. Close enough to the city to benefit from the restaurants and places to visit and yet not close enough to experience issues regarding noise or otherwise. It is a calm hotel with friendly staff. Pool is big enough, considering you are not in Granada to only swim. However, there are clearly not enough relaxation beds. Breakfast is good but simple. Good clean hotel in great location. Bed was single and a bit hard. Some one had been smoking in the room and the room smelt. Fortunately I was able to open a window to air the room out. Staff were not very attentive and were masters of ignoring customers at the bar. Breakfast was quite disappointing and the quality was not that high. It did have a small pool that was not heated and quite cold for early September. If look elsewhere in Granada.

The pool area was okay, but definitely not as beautiful as showcased by the photos, but more disappointing was the room. It could have used some updating as our bed was slanted, the furniture had marks and the floor was dirty. On the plus side, it was an easy walk to the city center and in a quiet area.
