We loved the location of this hotel as we were able to walk to all the sights and activities. Beautiful sunsets over Alhambra were within walking distance as well as many shops and a convince store. Flamenco dancers performed in the square just outside the hotel door. The room was small, but was nicely decorated and had all the amenities. The walls were thin and we could hear other hotel guest and their devices multiple times throughout the night. We had the breakfast in the morning and it ... Read more

This hotel's central location right on the vibrant Plaza Nuevo makes it so convenient to the central city and all its sights. We enjoyed a balcony room overlooking the plaza with a view of The Alhambra. The room was clean, quiet, modern bathroom. Wifi is excellent. Breakfast is perfect. Pedro at the front desk is wonderful! I highly recommend this hotel. Taxis and bus stops right on the plaza. Recommend you try tapas at "Bodegas Castañeda" one block away.

Our small, dark room had no remote for the A/C and couldn't be turned on even if you stood on a chair to reach to button; clearly the front desk was aware that this room was not air-conditioned, even though that was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. Food was so-so. We are from a Northern climate and can't sleep in the heat. I would NOT recommend this hotel.

The perfect location makes this hotel very attractive. Very helpful front desk. The Alhambra ticket office (the place where you can print the purchased online tickets) located just in front of the hotel. The Alhambra can be reached by walk but better to use the taxi as you will walk enough in Alhambra itself. Don't expect the nice view to Alhambra in the "Alhambra view room" - you will be able to see just the small corner of the red castle. From other hand this type of room has the window to the... Nice little hotel that we have stayed at over 4 or 5 years. The last visit was in April 2016. Rooms are nice and if you pay a little extra the rooms at the front look out directly onto plaza Nuevo. Nice rooms and very friendly receptionist. There are loads of places to eat for breakfast and evening meals. Some of Granada,s best tapas bars are just around the corner.

My friend and I stayed here for two nights. It was an incredibly nice hotel. The staff were all extremely friendly and the breakfast was delicious! It is located in an ideal spot - near just abut everything. The walls are a little thin as we could hear our neighbors but nothing that was disturbing. There weren't any plugs next to the bed which was a tad annoying but other than that, everything was fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel.

What an absolutely brilliant stay. Perfectly located in the middle of everything and directly opposite the way to the Alhambra, if you want to walk. Will take about 30 minutes and mostly uphill. Local cafes and restaurants are close at hand and nothing seemed to be too far away. Quite room, clean and very friendly staff. Highly recommended and wound stay there again.

The hotel is located on the Plaza Nueva and is with in walk able distance of all the sites. I had a interior room which was spacious, the bed and pillows comfortable, tv, a big closet with enough hangers and a safe. The tv had only Spanish channels. There was no tea kettle so got the only one in the hotel from the front desk. Used the glasses provided in the bathroom. I had to lend it out for a half a day to someone else but other than that I had it in my room for the 3 days I stayed here. The b... Read more

The location of The Hotel Marcia is ideal for its closeness to the Alhambra and the main tourist shopping area. The hotel rate we paid are very reasonable and breakfast at 7 euro was one of the least expensive during our tour of Europe. Our room was comfortable although a little small and nothing flash. Breakfast was very good for the charge made. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. There is a taxi stand across the plaza from the hotel which was ideal for our early morning flight. Unfo... Friendly hotel that's just next to eateries and shops in central old quarter of Granada. Walking distance to the Alhambra. Value for money. Pleasant simple breakfast. Free and fast wifi provided in room. No frills, so can't expect much .

The Macia Plaza is really in the thick of things in Granada and, in that regard, it's kind of hard to beat the location - smack in the middle of Plaza Nueva. You are steps from the delightful Albazin lanes and other historic sites, close to the commercial center and with nearby easy public transportation right up to the Alhambra area, etc. However, Plaza Nueva can be a VERY noisy place. Our comfortable, modern room directly overlooked the square. It was double glazed and most of the time was fin... Read more

The hotel is located in the centre of the town. Only 10 min walk to Alhambra, so many good bars, shopping etc... Staffs at the hotel were very friendly and gave us some ideas of what to do & where to eat. Must try churros for breakfast at next door cafe if you're not eating breakfast at the hotel. It was very good! We had a room facing the plaza nueva which was nice, but rather small and couldn't really see Alhambra. Be aware that the hotel doesn't have a car park. The closest car park coste... Read more

No car? Want to be in the city centre? Want good facilities? Want good value and helpful staff? Stay here! The location is ideal. Walking distance to everything including uphill to the Alhambra (25 minutes) or if that is too much the C3 bus stop to get you there is 5 minutes away. So are all the other bus routes in the city including the SN1 for the bus station. Places to eat recommended by the staff were all good. We stayed 3 nights, enjoyed it all.

Flamenco performances in the evening right outside the hotel door. The most courteous and helpful staff you've ever encountered and a central location that is both walking distance from most must-see sights and across the street from transit. A filling and hearty breakfast spread to begin each day of exploration. These were our top favourite things about the hotel Macia Plaza and they absolutely made up for the cramped space. Being a party of 2 adults and a toddler boy, the room would typical... Read more

You couldn't wish for a better location in Plaza Real at the foot of the street to Alhambra. The staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. If you're driving there, park outside the warren of small streets leading to the hotel and walk your baggage in. Our car park was two blocks from the hotel and charged 25E per day, though there are cheaper ones a little further out. The room was sizable, comfy bed, nice clean modern bathroom, and very reasonable at 55E per night. Best yet, around the corner ... Read more

Stayed here for 2 nights, what a great location! I had a superior room and it is well worth the slightly higher cost to have this, as the view onto the square and up to the Alhambra is wonderful. It was great to just open the balcony doors and hear and see all that was going on. What really makes this hotel, though, is the staff. Every single person we encountered was friendly, happy and so helpful...never saw any of the guys on reception without a big smile on their face, wonderful. Granad... Read more

The room was uncomfortable and parking far. Room lacks a place to rest your luggage and is tight, cramped. Beds are so short that feet hang off the edge. Lastly, the AC remote does not allow you to control the flow of air; the direct cold air ended up as a 3-day chest cold.

If you want to stay near all the main attractions in Granada, this is your choice. Service was excellent, they help me to find a parking, how to walk to the Alhambra, and two excellent restaurants for dinner. They also suggested me to be at 6:00am to get the tickets for visiting the Alhambra the next day, and it worked out. The room was clean and had two balconies, looking directly to the Alhambra and a few blocks from the Granada Cathedral. I was on the 4th floor. Service was really good: the ... Read more

Hotel Macia Plaza is the old building recently remodeled to be a hotel with all it's pros and cons. We stayed for 3 night and had a superior room on the 4th floor with balcony facing Plaza Nueva. It had a great view of the old city and Alhambra. The room was a normal size with comfortable bed, bathroom was small but manageable. No mini fridge in the room which was unexpected. Hotel has a decent breakfast till 11am for 7 euros. It's much cheaper and convenient than cafes downstairs. Hotel conc... Read more

This is a beautifully furnished hotel right in the centre of Granada within walking distance of The Alhambra - if you have a front facing room you can see it from your window. Lovely spacious bathroom with toiletries provided. Excellent buffet breakfast. The Albaicin, shops and restaurants are all close too.

This hotel should be rated higher. We stayed three nights. Hotel staff was really good: Helpful, responsive, informative and friendly. The bedroom was large and well-appointed. The bathroom had everything, including heated drying racks. Good breakfast: plenty of fruit, cereal, cured meats, etc. Coffee was excellent. Located on the Plaza Nueva, the old center of Granada. Lots of cafés and restaurants adjacent to the hotel. Starting from the Plaza Nueva, a winding walk takes you to the Alhambra.... Read more
