Stayed 2 nights. Clean facility with modern design( new building). Very small rooms with little space for suitcases, requiring use of the couch, further compromising living space. Lots of glass which made for severely reduced privacy. Tub and shower bizarre. Friendly staff. Superb breakfast. Unfortunately there was a very loud and never ending outside party( our windows overlooked the site)on the evening of our first night preventing us from getting a good sleep. It didn't end until almost 2 a... Read more

The recently refurbished hotel has two buildings, one a former palace (19th century) and the other a very new block clad in translucent material; the restaurant is on the ground floor of this block and the two are joined underground, where there is also a spa (you can walk across the terrace dividing the buildings as well. My wife and I had a room in the older building so can't comment on rooms in the new one. Our room was at the top, overlooking the street but with little street noise. The r... Read more

I booked a standard room in this hotel because the pictures of the lobby, room and amenities were of a building that looked like a Palace. Unfortunately, the hotel has a second building adjacent to the palace and it appears the room we booked was not in the palace. Instead, it was in a very random, not memorable property adjacent and connected to the palace though a patio. I wish the detail of the room will be more descriptive. Breakfast was very nice and location was not that great. I wi... Read more

Lovely hotel with beautiful historic rooms and a modern wing as well. Staff were exceptionally helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Thoughtful touches such as a welcome bottle of cava and cookies. Impeccably clean. Conveniently located. Historic rooms on the front may be too noisy for fussy sleepers who should stay in the back or the modern wing. The hotel concierge arranged a private Alhambra tour for us and the guide Marina was excellent.

Location is good for visiting sites in Granada, rooms are large including large tub and shower (although dual sinks have very minimal counter space for storing items) , staff is very helpful and the hotel has a nice charm to it. Negatives are the noise level throughout the night as it is on a busy street and the vehicle traffic is quite loud. There is no kind of fitness facility and although the spa was open, we could never get hold of anyone for an appointment. They only have one restaurant on ... Read more

The place: We had a lovely gigantic room in the old building, perfectly clean. We enjoyed sitting in the cool of the courtyard in the afternoon. The service: Reception staff did not make a good first impression, we found them a bit officious. In general the service was mixed - some were excellent, breakfast and room service were quick, but one lunchtime we ended up just walking away after waiting 45 minutes for our dessert. We did not get turn down service every evening. Breakfast selection... Read more

We used the hotel as our base for getting married in Granada and a dozen of our friends stayed there and we all loved it. the staff was incredibly friendly and responsive to our many many demands and they even helped us find lost luggage in a cab.

Wonderful young guys who work hard. Good old building with modern upgrades throughout, including a nice spa. we were upgraded, and appreciate it. But there were no windows, as such. simply ground level 2 foot high shuttered openings to let some natural light in. Odd, at best. but comfy, and well run. we'd return, but we'd stay outside more!

We had a friendly welcome and were given a room in the original old palace. Very nice. We hadn't expected to be able to see the Alhambra, but the hotel got us tickets. My dream come true. We ate out in the evening to the sights and sounds of a flamenco festival. Really vibrant evening. The only down side was the breakfast. Very disappointing choice. Only had one coffee. My husband used the spa and said it was very good.

My niece who is fluent in Spanish told me that Patos is 'Duck'. So let me praise what we called the "Duck Palace"! We made our reservations ages ago and were given the most excellent help with this both on the telephone and by email. The hotel arranged a pick-up at the airport and even though the flight was late, Rafael was there with a smile and all the help we needed. Our welcome at Reception was wonderful. We were shown to our room in the ultra-modern new wing overlooking the glorious garde... Read more

We stayed here for two nights on our honeymoon. Staff at reception gave us a warm welcome and were super helpful during our stay. They even managed to organise a visit to the Alhambra! Our room, in the old building, was stunning with a mosaic floor, painted ceiling and great balcony. The bathroom was spacious and luxurious with lovely toiletries. Thank you for making our visit to Granada so memorable!

We stayed in the new building. The room was extremely comfortable in an ultra modern building environment featuring floor to ceiling glass. The staff were helpful and professional at every opportunity. Their advice on where and how to visit the superb sites of Granada was invaluable.

The Hospes Palacio de los Patos was the perfect place to stay in Granada. We were able to get a connecting room so that my wife and I had our own room. What a treat in Europe. We also had dinner on the patio and it was a wonderful experience. Truly a 5 Star hotel.

This is an old palace with some original features but sensitively modernised. We were in the modern block which has a curious but very clever design. Our 2nd floor room had very modern features with rather interesting and attractive lighting. There was good space for putting our things. The room was light, airy and quiet with good air con.The staff were incredibly charming and helpful. They gave us good tips. This is an excellent hotel about 5 minutes walk from the cathedral and city centre, though you need a taxi to the Alhambra which is high above the city. Some great open air tapas bars and restaurants are very close. Reception staff were helpful and attentive and everyone speaks excellent English. The Hospes group trains its staff extremely well. This hotel is a mix of the old palace and a cleverly designed new section, separated by a large courtyard with fountains. Our large room was in the ... Read more

The Palacio is a luxury haven within a few minutes walk of the centre of Granada with excellent and attentive staff. We spent 3 nights in room 35 on the first floor in the original palacio which was both spacious and elegant with a comfortable 6 foot bed. Shortly after we arrived the concierge delivered a complementary half bottle of red wine and nibbles to our room which was a nice touch and we were impressed with how attentive and helpful the concierge staff were throughout our stay. We stayed in a junior suite for 3 nights in the old palace building which was basically a large room with nice bay windows and a few more luxuries than a standard room. It had fast wifi, silent aircon, tea and coffee making facilities and comfortable beds. However the big problem with the hotel is noise. The corridors are all nice and marble and it is central to town so you get both noise from outside (being an old building the windows don't appear to cut out noise) but mostly from the bar area ... The staff at the Palacio could not have been friendlier or more helpful. On arrival we were disappointed not to be in the old building, but soon changed our mind once in the modern building. Wow ! The patio area was beautiful, so relaxing. The hotel is ideally situated for the wonderful attractions of Granada. The Alhambra goes without saying, WONDERFUL ! but you must pay a visit to Le Chien Andalou ( the Andalusian Dog) a Flamenco Bar for a fantastic evening. for only 8/10 euros. Once again... Read more

Thought I was staying in old palace and surprised to be placed in ultra modern room reminiscent of the NH Collection in Europe or W in USA. Stunning floor to ceiling glass with alabaster squares that allowed us to see the garden but obscured outsiders from looking in. Huge bath with a full marble soaking tub and rain shower head. Staff very nice and spa pool was beatifully lit at night. Restaurant delicious and Jesus more than gracious even though we arrived late. Centrally located. Looking for... Read more

As others have mentioned the hotel is really beautiful and the service is great. The things I was concerned about like driving into the city and the hotel's location were a non issue. You can easily walk to everything in 5 minutes or so. It was actually a great location. The location also made it easy to drive to. They park your car so no worries there. The courtyard is a lovely sanctuary to have drinks, snacks or read. The breakfast was served in the other building or in the courtyard. It was v... Read more

We stayed at Hospes Palacio de los Patos in Granada for one night while visiting this delightful city and the Alhambra. We got a special deal and were given a room that felt like a palace inside. We came back from supper to find a small bottle of red win and some snacks had been delivered to our room - which was wonderful. The next morning we had breakfast outside in the garden on ... We had a really lovely suite in the old part of the hotel, where they have very cleverly combined the fine old features of the buliding with modern touches, in furniture and lighting. The staff were helpful, enthusiastic and well informed. Well located for the area around the cathedral and for shops, a short taxi ride (or an uphill walk in the heat!) from the Alhambra and the Albaicin. The breakfast buffet was good and, like the rest òf the hotel, immaculately presented.

The customer service was awesome here from the check in to the breakfast. The old house converted to a hotel is beautiful but we stayed in the newer building next to the old house. Also, the immediate area around the property isn't very nice.

Great service from the staff throughout, and we were upgraded to one of the beautiful rooms in the old part of the hotel.
