Stayed 2 nights. Clean facility with modern design( new building). Very small rooms with little space for suitcases, requiring use of the couch, further compromising living space. Lots of glass which made for severely reduced privacy. Tub and shower bizarre. Friendly staff. Superb breakfast. Unfortunately there was a very loud and never ending outside party( our windows overlooked the site)on the evening of our first night preventing us from getting a good sleep. It didn't end until almost 2 a... Read more

The recently refurbished hotel has two buildings, one a former palace (19th century) and the other a very new block clad in translucent material; the restaurant is on the ground floor of this block and the two are joined underground, where there is also a spa (you can walk across the terrace dividing the buildings as well. My wife and I had a room in the older building so can't comment on rooms in the new one. Our room was at the top, overlooking the street but with little street noise. The r... Read more

I booked a standard room in this hotel because the pictures of the lobby, room and amenities were of a building that looked like a Palace. Unfortunately, the hotel has a second building adjacent to the palace and it appears the room we booked was not in the palace. Instead, it was in a very random, not memorable property adjacent and connected to the palace though a patio. I wish the detail of the room will be more descriptive. Breakfast was very nice and location was not that great. I wi... Read more

Lovely hotel with beautiful historic rooms and a modern wing as well. Staff were exceptionally helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Thoughtful touches such as a welcome bottle of cava and cookies. Impeccably clean. Conveniently located. Historic rooms on the front may be too noisy for fussy sleepers who should stay in the back or the modern wing. The hotel concierge arranged a private Alhambra tour for us and the guide Marina was excellent.

Location is good for visiting sites in Granada, rooms are large including large tub and shower (although dual sinks have very minimal counter space for storing items) , staff is very helpful and the hotel has a nice charm to it. Negatives are the noise level throughout the night as it is on a busy street and the vehicle traffic is quite loud. There is no kind of fitness facility and although the spa was open, we could never get hold of anyone for an appointment. They only have one restaurant on ... Read more

The place: We had a lovely gigantic room in the old building, perfectly clean. We enjoyed sitting in the cool of the courtyard in the afternoon. The service: Reception staff did not make a good first impression, we found them a bit officious. In general the service was mixed - some were excellent, breakfast and room service were quick, but one lunchtime we ended up just walking away after waiting 45 minutes for our dessert. We did not get turn down service every evening. Breakfast selection... Read more

Wonderful young guys who work hard. Good old building with modern upgrades throughout, including a nice spa. we were upgraded, and appreciate it. But there were no windows, as such. simply ground level 2 foot high shuttered openings to let some natural light in. Odd, at best. but comfy, and well run. we'd return, but we'd stay outside more!

We had a friendly welcome and were given a room in the original old palace. Very nice. We hadn't expected to be able to see the Alhambra, but the hotel got us tickets. My dream come true. We ate out in the evening to the sights and sounds of a flamenco festival. Really vibrant evening. The only down side was the breakfast. Very disappointing choice. Only had one coffee. My husband used the spa and said it was very good.

Overall the hotel met most of our requirements. The food in the evening was well delivered and two of the best cooked fillet steak's we have consumed. We asked to be served milk in the room to make a coffee and recieved a bottle of red wine. This was a pleasant substitute although not what we required. Sometimes feel that communications let the teams down within the hospes group.

Didn't want to leave... A beautiful hotel, we were lucky to get a cheeky upgrade to a junior suite ??? which was most welcome... valet parking cost 25 euros per 24 hours - breakfast was delicious and drinks in the courtyard were a great way to end the evening... Location was fab for eating, drinking, shops and sights. Would we stay again... You bet we would ????????

To spend the day touring the Alhambra and this beautiful city and then come back to this magnificent hotel was a very special experience. The rooms were extraordinary and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.

Hard to fault the Palacio de los Patos for anything that they have control over. Probably the only thing to be aware of when booking is that the hotel sits on quite a busy corner and there can be a fair bit of nightlife around until the early hours sometimes. This will be most noticeable on the ground floor rooms adjacent to the outer sides of the site. Otherwise this is a beautifully renovated old building and a remarkably characterful place to stay, staffed by a remarkably efficient and friend... Read more

We ad a free upgrade to a junior suite, great surprise! The room was hughe and beautiful. Great service, within 10 minutes a welcome drink and sometapas were broughto ourroom. Beds are great, nice quiet room and bathroom grea as well. So was the spa. We had breakfast twice, once excellent, once terrible. The latter the breakfastroom was overcrowded and understaffed. Long wait to get a place, buffet half empty and after ordering eggs and waiting another 10 mins, when we asked were are the eggs, ... Read more

We stayed in the modern part of the hotel, which was a surprise having seen the more traditional rooms on the hotel website. The room was contemporary, stylish and comfortable, and very clean. We really liked the outdoor space with a bar, and ate here one evening, the food was very good. We also used the spa facilities, the pool is small but very welcome in the heat, my facial was excellent. The breakfast was also really good, a wide range of hot and cold dishes, we both had plenty of choice. Al... Read more

We also stayed in the modern, contemporary side of the hotel, which I'd not realized existed until onsite. I suspect that the rooms in the historic building are sumptuous, but if you appreciate clean lines, good design, glass and stone, the newer building won't disappoint. Room was spacious, bed comfortable, bath ample and luxurious. Did not have time to experience the spa, but other hotel amenities (terrace for drinks, restaurant for breakfast) were top-notch. It's really an oasis in the cente... Read more

We had a great stay at Los Patos. Our room was large and modern. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is a fairly short walk from the central squares of Granada. A plus because you can easily get away from the noise and crowds

Recently my husband and I, along with two other couples, toured Spain visiting Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, Rondo, and Grenada. Of the five hotels we enjoyed, our favorite was Hospes Palacio de los Patos. Everyone agreed that the staff members made the difference. All of them were anxious to make us comfortable and well served. It started with Javier who took us to our room and made sure we completely understood how everything worked and where things were. This did not happen at any of our other... Read more

We so enjoyed our stay at Hospes Palacio, the staff was so welcoming and accommodating. We stayed in the new wing, the rooms were fabulous. Highly recommend it, another bonus is that it's quiet and not in the center squares of Granada.

The building is an ancient Palacio that has bee renovated and it is quite nice. But that is where everything stops. The service is far from being up to standards especially when you need to book a service or event. Ex: refuse to book tickets to l'Alhambra, had to fight with them to book tickets for the bus to Seville., etc. etc. etc. The room service was poor, as was the luggage service. My explanation is theft the owners are cutting on the personnel budget so there is not enough people to give ... Read more

I've stayed 3 days in this hotel and everything was perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They helped us with getting tickets to the Alhambra and booked us into an excellent resturant. We stayed in a room in the palace building and it was amazing!! Everything exceeded our expectations and we will definitely return on our next visit. Thanks again for everything!

this hotel is a out of the thick of things in Granada in a cool and busy neighborhood just outside the Cathedral district which is a 6 minute walk. The hotel has an original building and a newer addition where the rooms are spacious with modern and cool decor; bathrooms are beautiful and ultra modern in design. the bed was huge and very comfortable with high end linens. front desk staff were unbelievable helpful and able to get me a group ticket to visit the Alhambra on short notice. I had a lovely time here. The staff are helpful and polite and very professional. The location is just off the main high street. It is within 10 minutes walking distance of the Granada Cathedral. The cab trip to the Alhambra is only 10 minutes and approx 8 euros away. It is advisable to go by cab and not walk , its uphill.

When I first checked in I was taken to the new building next door. That room wouldn't be comfortable for me as the curtains had to be opened and closed by staff. There was no desk or sink counter space to place my toiletries and no drawers. I told them immediately that that room would not work for me. I was taken back to the main hotel to a glorious room with large desk, still no drawers, but a wonderful room. Food was superb and I had several meals there. Service was slow at restaurant, b... We were upgraded on arrival to a junior suite at no extra charge which was a fabulous surprise. The hotel staff were super friendly and we were given a brief tour and history of the hotel before being shown to our room. The room was huge with team and coffee supplied. There was a fridge in the room as well. The bathroom was heated and had a great shower and separate bath and loo. I spent three days in Granada with my mother and we were totally amazed by this hotel. It's aesthetically precious, we loved every detail in it; the restaurant offers delicious dishes and the girls who work there delighted us with their kindness. All the staff, in general, was incredibly careful to every need we had and many times we were stupefied by all the cares they dedicated to us, since our arrival, every moment of the day, until the departure. I absolutely suggest this place to everyone w... Read more
