Great hotel, great location but don't drive there. Costs to park and the curb lane is for busses and taxis only, and it's a one-way street. Staff was excellent, rooms a bit small and industrial modern, like many of the AC hotels are. Walking distance to the cathedral and a lot of the old center. Good restaurants nearby, especially the Taberna Salinas. About a 15-minute cab ride to the Alhambra.

I'd you are staying in Grenada this is the place to be. Staff is kind. You are only 5 minutes from the centre of the city. You can walk everywhere. Prices are extremely reasonable. Will definitely be back.

The hotel from the street looks like a typical city Marriott, however the interior is lovely. There is a modern lobby and a modern hotel section, however the hotel also incorporates an older convent into its architecture. We reserved a room in the older section. It looked out onto the inner courtyard and had a spacious terrace. Per previous comments, there was a wedding reception in the courtyard one early evening and it was a bit noisy, but it was never a problem with sleeping. The breakfast... Read more

Lovely hotel in great location. Comfortable and convenient. Great front desk staff organised tickets for Alhambra tour when no one else could and helped us book restaurants. Beautiful courtyard bar for early evening drinks. Parking too! Recommended for anyone wanting city base in Granada

Unfortunately our experience with this hotel was not as pleasant as others reported on Tripadvisor. We emailed prior to our stay to request a quiet room and were assured that since we were booked into the older part of the hotel that all would be well. This expensive room turned out to be very noisy. It was located facing an alley in the back of the hotel (the older section). Noise from the alley, which continued into the wee hours, permeated the room. If we closed the shutters there was no... Read more

We recently spent two separate nights and both times were amazing. We were given a complimentary upgrade our first night had the chance to stay Room 1, which is in an old Moorish House. On our second evening, even though Juanco offered us an upgrade, however, we chose a basic room with the street view,, I guess we just enjoy the sights, sounds and streets of Granada. We travel with two children, which at times is difficult because most hotels such this caliber are not very accommodating to trave... Read more

This hotel was a former convent and the tombstones in the main courtyard attest to the history of this building. We were given a suite in the new wing, with a sofa bed for our daughter in the ante-room. The room was furnished with clean modern lines. There were 2 TVs, a large closet area with a safe, and a Nespresso machine. The room's air conditioning was excellent. Wifi was also complimentary but for a limited number of devices. Breakfast is served in the restaurant on the basement floor. Tab... Read more

Has to be one of the worse five star hotels in Spain. The service was awful and the receptionist was rude and started laughing at us. After staying in six hotels in Spain all five stars, this is the worse one by far. Rooms are super small and service was piss poor.

This is a Lovely Hotel located On the Central Boulevard of Granada. 5 min walk from cathedral and City central. AND a short 15 min ride to Alhambra and its surrounding Areas. An Old Styled Modern Hotel. That makes you feel at Home. Friendly Staff (apart from one Crabby Lady, who got quickly shushed by he colleagues) Large Rooms, Great Service. It might not have the Gypsy Flavour that some Tourists may be looking for, But I am sure all other travellers will find this place a great place ... Read more

I stayed at the Palacio De Santa Paula on a recent weekend visit to Granada and thought it was an excellent place to stay. The hotel has real character, having once been a convent. The hotel is based around a central courtyard which is a great place to relax, dine or just have a drink. On the latter point, they have an excellent gin selection!! We stayed in the Junior Suite and enjoyed the extra space and seating area. The breakfast buffet selection was great and you could also order somet... Read more

The building is a converted convent with a new tower added. Our room was in the older building with a lot of charm and character but all the modern conveniences. The central courtyard is a great historical reminder of years past with grave markers as part of the stone floor. Buffet breakfast was excellent with the option of ordering from the made to order menu as well at no additional cost. Front desk staff were very helpful with directions and assistance. Easy walking from the main street locat... Read more

Given the fact that it is a converted convent, I should have expected compromises in the hotel rooms. It smelled quite musty every time we walked in. It was quite well appointed, but no bedside water, and the ac was either too cold or stuffy if turned off. The front desk staff was outstanding. They couldn't do enough for us. Their English was better than most anywhere we've been so far in Spain.

We stayed here last summer (2015) and it was a highlight of our time in Andalucia - the staff organised trips to the Alhambra and were really helpful. Breakfast in the old convent courtyard was one of the highlights of our stay !!

Great location + modern rooms + old world charm = excellent hotel We had a great stay here - rooms are excellent and everything you could ask for. It has modern rooms and then there are surprised thrown in - use to be a convent they kept some of the courtyards (they were a surprise!). Definetly glad we stayed here - great staff too - lovely visit.

An old convent turned into a hotel with all the modern amenities. The structure is beautiful and the courtyard is just magical. The staff is very friendly and the location is good. Unfortunately our room in the old building was very dark and claustrophobic. While the hotel is trying to be a luxury hotel, it is falling short in many aspects. No bedside water, only 2 towels per room, etc... Its little things like this that really define luxury.....I might stay here again but ask for a bigger room ... Read more

We stayed at the Santa Paula for five nights in Granada and I can't say enough good things about the property -- and more importantly, the people who worked there. Our rooms were really comfortable and well-appointed, and overlooked a peaceful courtyard. With its central location, the hotel is a great find! The staff were welcoming, gracious and kind. We had a medical emergency during our stay, and they helped in every way that they could, including making calls to change our itinerary, can... Read more

It has the look and feel of Al Hambra. The staff were excellent in making us feel very welcome and helped to make us feel more joy as we returned, and kind of sad when we left. Our room was very spacious, clean, comfortable, and the ceilings were tremendously high. I/We would definitely gladly return to this fine Hotel.
