On a trip in Andalucia, we arrived having discovered that our tour company had "forgotten" to advise us to book tickets for the Al Hambra in advance, and then told us that none were now available. We greeted by Inma with a warm smile and the question as to when we were visiting the Al Hambra. We told our tale and she at once asked if we would be happy for her to arrange it. We were - and she did! She also made some very good recommendations for eating out. What a service! The rooms are ver... Read more

We spent two nights here (without kids) for first time in years. It was absolutely fantastic. As soon as you step off the street, you step into an oasis of cool calm. An atmosphere of friendliness, really comfortable beds, superb breakfasts. Centrally located, 5 mins from city centre but really quiet. Could see the edge of the Alhambra from the room. No coffee in the room for some reason, but a great choice of teas...car parking not cheap at â?¬20 a night but handy that they take it away for u. ... Read more

This gorgeous hotel features very comfortable beds, pillows, a great air conditioner, gorgeous tub and shower, even an in room refrigerator. It is centrally located close to restaurants, bars and the market. The Alhambra is a gorgeous 20 minute walk from the hotel. The service here was excellent. They accommodated us with an extended checkout time and held our luggage when needed.

It has the look and feel of Al Hambra. The staff were excellent in making us feel very welcome and helped to make us feel more joy as we returned, and kind of sad when we left. Our room was very spacious, clean, comfortable, and the ceilings were tremendously high. I/We would definitely gladly return to this fine Hotel.

We stayed at the Santa Paula for five nights in Granada and I can't say enough good things about the property -- and more importantly, the people who worked there. Our rooms were really comfortable and well-appointed, and overlooked a peaceful courtyard. With its central location, the hotel is a great find! The staff were welcoming, gracious and kind. We had a medical emergency during our stay, and they helped in every way that they could, including making calls to change our itinerary, can... Read more

An old convent turned into a hotel with all the modern amenities. The structure is beautiful and the courtyard is just magical. The staff is very friendly and the location is good. Unfortunately our room in the old building was very dark and claustrophobic. While the hotel is trying to be a luxury hotel, it is falling short in many aspects. No bedside water, only 2 towels per room, etc... Its little things like this that really define luxury.....I might stay here again but ask for a bigger room ... Read more

Great location + modern rooms + old world charm = excellent hotel We had a great stay here - rooms are excellent and everything you could ask for. It has modern rooms and then there are surprised thrown in - use to be a convent they kept some of the courtyards (they were a surprise!). Definetly glad we stayed here - great staff too - lovely visit.

We stayed here last summer (2015) and it was a highlight of our time in Andalucia - the staff organised trips to the Alhambra and were really helpful. Breakfast in the old convent courtyard was one of the highlights of our stay !!

Given the fact that it is a converted convent, I should have expected compromises in the hotel rooms. It smelled quite musty every time we walked in. It was quite well appointed, but no bedside water, and the ac was either too cold or stuffy if turned off. The front desk staff was outstanding. They couldn't do enough for us. Their English was better than most anywhere we've been so far in Spain.
