The room was fine. But we were extremely impressed with the selections and quality of the food during breakfast and the dinner was good as well. For the dinner, the Paella and rack of lamb was very good. For breakfast, it's ridiculous... there are fresh salami and prosciutto that you can slice off the whole salami and ham leg, the pastry was delicious and fresh, even the cafe was very good quality. Fresh squeeze orange juice, cheese and pastry... those were good croissant and pastry. Gotta... Read more

Very nice hotel and a real bargain. Hotel very modern. Walking distance from old city. Staff very accommodating. Only problem we encountered was shower being placed on the wall toward the middle of the bathtub so it was somewhat difficult moving around.

Room was as one would expect from a Doubletree, and the staff was great! They really went above and beyond, and made our stay extra pleasurable. Parking was free and right around the corner. We walked to the old town which took about 15 minutes so the location was perfect as well.

Stayed at this hotel through jet2 hols. We were greeted with a warm chocolate cookie we had read so much about in other reviews. Rooftop pool was lovely but not enough sun lounges and we often had to sit on the floor. The main town was slightly further than we had expected, around 15 mins which was tiring at night. Breakfast was very fresh and enjoyable, however there were no boiled eggs available at breakfast time, I personally do not like boiled eggs but it is nice to see them as so others do ... Read more

I would recommend this hotel as the staff are amazing, professional but also friendly and fun, we lost our passports at the airport and they managed to locate them for us, when airport staff couldn't! Lovely roof top area with small but perfectly formed pool, that gives free use of pool towels, really chilled bar, had live music on, supermarket opposite, ideal for snacks and drinks. Yes it is a 10-15 min walk but in a nice area, I love walking so enjoyed it, top tips, all toiletries and towels p... Read more

I posted this review via medallia.com in response to a 'Thank you for your recent stay' email from Doubletree. My review doesn't appear to have reached Tripadvisor. This hotel ignored my on-line selection and allocated a room with defective air conditioning. We didn't sleep much the first night. Our replacement room had a blocked shower which was unusable. Our third room was fine. At breakfast there were only two staff who despite their heroic efforts, were challenged by the volume of guests.... Read more

Very comfortable hotel, with spacious and well-lit rooms (we stayed in a family suite). It has a small pool on the rooftop terrace. The treatment of staff is correct. Breakfast is fine. The parking is chargeable. Recommended to get to know the city of Girona

Generally pleased with the stay. Dining room staff were very helpful and professional, evening meals were excellent and delicious - well done to the chef. Improvements could be in the area of some of the reception staff, cleaning of rooms in replenishing items properly and the website which can be unclear when booking especially the inclusion of breakfast. Overall though a good stay!

We are currently camping around Europe in our campervan and decided to treat ourselves to a night here. Hotel is lovely, and clean. Food is good and quite reasonable although 2 gin and tonics were ?22 (more expensive then Dublin where we are from) otherwise it has everything you need and a rooftop pool to make things even better - we ended up staying an extra night, the only thing is that they charged us an extra ?20 per night for our jack Russell doggy which I thought was a little excessive... Not a very good hotel. Modern but spartan. We could not get hot running water at times. No A/C which made us sleep with the windows open, thus unable to avoid te street noise. I would not recommend. We were told to park our car in te garage for 16 Euros per night or on the street across form the hotel, next to a supermarket. What we didn't know is that the street the hotel personnel told us about was fairly dark and without much traffic at night, which made it te perfect place for vandalism. Th... Read more

We attended a conference there. The service was awful. We had to wait endless time for just a beer. Dinner was just surrealistic. We waited for more than one hour and they missed one person. Overpriced for the quality and quantity. Tomas and Giuseppe in the bar became even agressive at some point. We tried to split the bill buy we just couldn do it. In a very rude way they just closed the bar because they where not prepared. They became bossy and aggressive. Unacceptable. The only possitive co... Read more

The hotel was clean and acceptable. I know Doubletree isn't quite Hilton in terms of service but the hotel was quite basic, basic room decor, basic beds, very basic pillows, very basic but edible breakfast and coffee. I would stay here again but I wouldn't advise getting too excited by the place Location is OK, a pleasant ten min stroll to the old town but actually in a triangle to other locations

We spent just one night here but it was very pleasant. We were upgraded to a corner room one the 3rd floor, not exactly the "high floor" that my HHonors profile specified, but a spacious room and it was amazingly quiet (despite being at type intersection of two streets). The king bed was comfortable, the bath was large, and the closet was generous. Breakfast the next morning was good, with a fairly broad selection of foods.

We stayed at this hotel just overnight. The location is good, within walking distance (15 minutes+) from the old city of Girona. We parked our car in the hotel 's underground parking- very convinient. Enjoyed a wonderful breakfast too. The rooms are also nice.

Peaceful, clean, relaxing rooftop, excellent customer service. The restaurant offers an exquisite menu. Our commendations to the Executive Chef! Very centric location, about 10 min walk to the train station and the Old City. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to our friends!

Arrived with group driving around Europe. Front facing room disturbed all night by lorry loading in facilities opposite. Within short walk of great eateries especially tapas, in place de la independiencia and cathedral (game of thrones scenes).

This is an excellent hotel near the conference center, 10min from downtown. Very convenient for business or for tourism. The hotel has a little cold appearance but is fine. To be recommended. I did not try the breakfast

Confortable, modern, nice rooms and clean. Not really in the center but is just a short walk, close to the La Devesa park. Fully recommended for all kind of travellers. New supermarket and McDonald's nearby.

Good hotel not far from old city, in front of big shops. The service is good, hotel is not old, very tasty breakfasts. Pool on the roof is not big but fresh a lot in hot day. Like hilton because you can find teapot, iron in your room and very good room service

We enjoyed our stay. Nice hotel and very helpful front desk staff and very accommodating chef in restaurant who served us an exquisite meal even after the kitchen was closed. Easy walk to downtown and to the fast buses into Barcelona.

Stayed just for 1 night in order to explore the historic sights of the old City. Hotel lobby very well appointed and car parking located in the basement, which is an extra at 14 euros but worth the piece of mind. Double sized room, very modern, clean with good fixtures and fittings. The Hotel was further out than described from the Old Town and is a good 15 minute walk, that said if you don't mind walking it's not an issue. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly and certainly gave a war... Read more
