Hotel is spotless, near the beach, supermarkets and restauarants. Can hire fridge, kettle and safe for a couple of euros per night. Coffee and vending machine in lobby. If you're getting the train from the airport get off at torreblanca, not fuengirola, costs ‚?¨2.70 and hotel is 5 minutes walk. Can't wait to go back

I would've gave it 5* had we not been sent to abother hotel on arrival due to burst water pipe in our room but things like that can't be helped and sometimes happen! When we let the tour operator know we wernt very happy with the temporary accommodation the hotel bumped us up to half board and gave us a suite on the top floor which was greatly appreciated for the hassle so thanks for that, rooms are lovely cleaned everyday and the hotel and pool area spot less, food wasn't great at the buffet bu... Our first time to Fuengirola area and we chose this hotel because it had good reviews for the price on offer. It is a lovely hotel, very clean with maid service everyday. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. The hotel is situated 5 mins from the beach front, at the quieter end of Fuengirola. There is a bus stop right out side, or just around the corner behind the hotel is the train station for easy trips into Fuengirola or Benalmadena both options very cheap. This hotel is completely and obviously uneducated in running a hotel business. Firstly The rooms are clean, I cannot fault that.. but very shabby and old fashioned. My curtain poll was broke and fell apart whilst in the shower so I had to spend my time showering with no shower curtain. The air con worked when it wanted too..the tv is tiny and only has Spanish channels. Nice hotel well located to train station about a 5 minute walk away, the beach is a 3 minute walk away with loads of restaurants nearby, we had a large room on the 8th floor with large double bed,air-conditioning and a partial sea view.We stayed bed and breakfast and the breakfast was good with a lot of choice, The pool area was clean with a good selection of loungers and seats. the 24 reception next to the lifts was good with great advise,Malaga city is a 35 minute rail journey away and is a go... Hotel was overall basic, but clean. As expected for price we paid. Breakfast was good plenty of choice although my husband did comment the scrambled eggs seemed 'watery'. Hotel is in a good location right on the promenade and 5 min walk to train station we recommend a trip into the town centre for a vast selection of shops and restaurants. The biggest downside to the hotel for us was the paper thin walls, allowing us to hear much, MUCH more than we wanted to from the room next door.

Unsure why this hotel gets a 4* as there is lack of so many things. The room was large but lack of hangers in wardrobe (just as well we didn't go as a family). Plastic cups in the bathroom which were never replaced once used, complimentary toiletries was shower gel in bath which had no smell and 2 small bars of soap which again never replaced. Room was never cleaned properly and empty glasses we took up to the room from the bar to finish our drinks were never removed. I had to wash the glasses o... Read more

Had a lovely holiday in the Mainare Playa. On arrival we were allocated a large corner room on the 7th floor with fantastic views of the sunrise to start our day. The room was clean and the maid was in everyday, food was fine ,always something to choose especially from the grill area. Refurbished within the last few years it is modern and clean in a well located position for access to the trains and local buses for sightseeing. Would definitely return.

Stayed for 5 nights in October, really enjoyed our stay at the Mainare Playa, got here quite late at night hotel and didn't have many euros and needed a safe so the manager was kind enough for me to leave Stirling til the following day. I found the hotel to be very clean and staff were nice enough! My room (401) was overlooking the pool and could see the sea. The room is very spacious and storage was enough for the 2 of us although I did ask for more coat hangers and extra pillows which they... Read more

Great for a couple of nights B and B en route to airport. Value for money. Good size room. Area built up and some traffic noise. Ask for room at back of hotel. It may be quieter. Staff helpful. Pool area great. Great for easy access to Torreblanca station straight into airport/Malaga. 3 minute walk.

We stayed here for a week in october just made it to the bar as it shut at midnight. Our first room was lovely and clean and very big unfortunately it was to close to the main road so paid ‚?¨25 to change room which was smaller and not as close to the road. The staff was all really nice and it was lovely by the pool. We was room only so if you wanted a fridge you had to hire which we didnt bother with. I would like to say i would stay again but i wont due to the noise of the road which is a sham... Read more

We stayed here the second week in October. The hotel and staff is very friendly. The pool is great and the waiters fab. We where bed and breakfast the breakfast was good but got a bit samey after a week but good value for money. You can hire a kettle for ‚?¨2 a day but pointless cause you have to hire the fridge but with one key milk don't last as the key switches on the electricity. Other than that we had a great stay. Very quiet as it's a bit of a walk to the centre of Fuengirola.

This Hotel is very modern. We had the family room and it's was ample for 2 adults & 2 children one being age 17. The room is modern and very clean, the bathroom has 2 sinks which is a bonus when you have kids again. When we arrived after midnight the chef had left us some food in the restaurant fridge plus we left very early morning and again there was breads and drinks left for us to have for breakfast .......never had this offered on previous years of holidays at other hotels !! I cannot fault... Read more

Stayed here for 5 nights end of October. Weather was beautiful. Lovely large bedroom with 3 beds. And 2 sinks in bathroom. Bath and shower. Swimming pool was nice. Plenty sunbeds. Lovely view of sea. Don't eat restaurant breakfast OK 5/10 but evening meals are not edible 3/10. Bit of a walk into Fuengirola. Would recommend Talk of the town and Dominique's on the esplanade for food. Would come again to hotel but room only.

Staying from 27/10/16 to 30/10/16 but hotel closed down on morning of Sunday 30. Hardly given time to pack our bags. We're told yesterday the place was closing. I think it quite inconsiderate. The chairs were packed away, the bar was cleared. The lights were off and we had our room entry card immobilised and ended up having to get the hotel electrician to bypass the lock so we could remove our cases. Because we were delayed in getting entry into our room we received a call from reception to ... Read more

Short stay, 26th - 30th October with my friend and her teenage daughter. Didn't know what to expect as our first time away in Oct. But wow! It was fantastic!! Helped by the lovely hot weather of course! But the hotel staff, the location, the cleanliness, the facilities were just fab! The cleaners were lovely, very friendly and helpful. The reception staff were also very friendly as were the bar staff! We had absolutely no problems throughout our stay! We got the train from the airport, about 2... Read more

This hotel has lovely spacious rooms, is very clean and the cleaning staff are wonderful. Sadly that's where the good stuff ends. The food was horrendous. After one night my partner refused to eat in there again. It was like they were using up everything they had left over and throwing dishes together. I popped in to see what was on offer for dinner on two more occcasions but we are out every night which isn't good when you have paid to eat. Breakfast was fine for the first couple of days but th... Stayed here with the hubs for our wedding anniversary. Lovely place. Staff friendly & helpful. Great location. Clean. We stayed in room 311 which had a balcony overlooking the pool. Tv & air con in room. Beds single but comfy. Stayed half board which we wouldn't do again, simply because the food was boring, repetitive & portions were small, although the food was edible. The soups were lovely, especially the lentil soup. You must find your way to a Chinese called Wok buffet. The food is amazing.... Read more
