HOTEL MARISA Worked for One Night You can't beat this hotel for location and convenience to the tourist sites. However, with that comes a great deal of street noise, difficult and expensive parking and a long walk to get to the hotel because unless you have been there before, the gps doesn't help due to streets that are closed, blocking you from driving right to the front door. However, once we found the hotel, checked in, the desk clerk gave us very round about directions to drive in to the... Read more

This hotel is right across the narrow street from the Cathedral. We asked for a room off the front but they gave us one on the front because it had a bigger bathroom. They gladly made a change for us and we chose a room in the back that had a smaller bathroom but it proved to be a little small. Still, it was our choice. We slept soundly with no street noise. Wi-Fi worked fine for the two of us. Twice during the day we came to our room to cool off, rest up and go out sight-seeing again so t... Read more

If you just need a bed for the night, this is the hotel for you. It is really old- fashioned, the rooms were clean but small and very noisy. Also, the older receptionist was rather rude and in the beginning he wasn't willing to accept our ids and asked for our passports although, we are European citizens. When he agreed to that, he had trouble recognizing our names and surnames which hasn't happened to us anywhere else in Spain. The younger receptionist however, was really kind and helped us wit... The Marisa hotel is just opposite the mosque cathedral of Cordoba. Its rooms have view on the main street with tourist shoppers and parties walking beneath. The windows are poorly noise insulated. The room have a poor noise insulation too. Our bed was not comfortable as one of the iron spring was sticking out dangerously. As we already asked to change the room because of the noise we decided to overlook the bed and try our best to just enjoy our stay. The hotel staff were lovely and trying their... Read more

A friend and I were in Cordoba for 3 nights. It just happened to be during the Fesitval Of Patios. My room faced the extremely busy street and I had no problem falling asleep to the faint sounds from the street. I thought the windows did their job to diffuse the crowd sounds. The receptionists seemed friendly enough. The rooms are simple, but the location is outstanding. I never watched TV, but if I wanted to, the teeny flat screens would have been too small.

We loved this hotel. Directly opposite the Mezquita and ideally situated for Tapas and restaurants. All attractions are walkable within the city. The hotel was spotless. Our room (113) looked out on a side street opposite a Bodega. The windows were double glazed and had no problem with noise at all. The room was nicely decorated with an excellent bathroom with powerful shower. There was an inner courtyard and staff very pleasant. Highly recommended.
