My 12 year old daughter and I booked a room for a few days during August at the Hotel Canada Palace. We couldn't keep from gaping at everything! The sixties faux palatial lobby, the grand staircase, the fabulous art collection, even the charming front desk kid (the owners grandson) was right out of a Wes Anderson film. The room was generously sized and filled with truly majestic pink and gold furnishings, crisp white linens and gleaming marble tiled floors. Everything was truly spotless. The... Read more

Myself and my husband (early 30's) stayed at the Canada Palace for three nights to attend a friends wedding at a nearby hotel, it was a last minute booking and I think the last remaining room available in the whole of Calafell. We paid top price due to it being peak season, around £320 in the end including breakfast. The hotel has a great location in terms of being in the centre and a 3 minute walk from the beach. It's certainly a throw back to the 70's with an abundance of wood, orange, plan... Read more

Every year I take a large group of young student to this hotel. I have found the facilities and the service to be first class. The hotel has always offered us a warm greeting and have catered for all the needs of our group. The cuisine is genuine Spanish and the menu is large enough to offer choices to everybody.

After being let down by Hotel Antigua although booked months ahead we were taken by friends after 11pm to look for another hotel in August which was a nightmare. Luckily this hotel had a room and we really struck lucky. A very comfortable room overlooking pool extremely clean and the staff excellent especially the bar staff. We stayed three nights and would thoroughly recommend it - it is a family owned and managed hotel which makes a huge difference to customer relations and satisfaction.

Enjoyed a great weekend with the Riverside Rockabilly and car show at this hotel. Due to the entertainment and participants the hotel was full and coped very well. The bar and dining areas were adequate and kept clean throughout. The rooms were large and balconies overlooking the pool area were suitable for a quiet rest. Good outside pool and small indoor pool. Hotel about five to ten minutes walk from beach and main promenade and next to train line and station. Noise of trains could be "felt" r... Read more

65 kids and teachers. Hotel ideal for our group. Staff helpful. Pool ideal. Short walk to beach and into town. Self catering breakfast and dinner with excellent choice of food for even the most fussy of our teenage group. Some issues with the loudness of the Spanish guests lasting into the night.

We took 60 students here at the end of May. The hotel was fairly empty excited for 2 other school groups. The food was good and catered for all our students- including gluten free food, nut allergy, veggie and vegan food. The packed lunches were very basic but did the trick. Students loved having time in and by the pool; the hotel supplied a life guard at this time. It was plenty big enough for all 40 students plus other guests and plenty of sun loungers. Despite the gorgeous warm weather,... Read more

Hotel is 3 minutes from a really lovely, safe beach and two minutes walk from Calafell Railway station. Good points: Clean, friendly, very few Brits,,no rowdy guests. Staff are helpful and pleasant. Few speak much English ( which we liked as my daughters are learning Spanish) Frequented by considerate Spanish families, from 0-80 years Beds very comfortable Good sized pool ( there is also a small indoor pool for extra fee and small child's paddling pool) We had a really lovely time there- very ...
