I was on business in the Levante and opted for a 4 night stay at the Poseidon. It was central, had a decent reputation and was very inexpensive for a half-board stay. Staff were (bar one I encountered) very enthusiastic and attentive. The food was okay and plentiful and my room was reasonably spacious with a decent bathroom and balcony - great value and all I needed for a 4-night stay. I arrived after the dining room had closed for the evening - but they had made me a packed dinner for my a... Read more

Arrived home from Spain 29/04/16, all inclusive. we were dropped outside Poseidon palace, we discovered we were in Poseidon hotel next door. The receptionist gave directions, across the pool, we couldn't see the steps leading to the other hotel so we're trundling luggage back and forwards around the sun beds. Hotel room comfortable, as others have said, lack of plugs. Food very good, hand sanitizer encouraged on entering the room, the staff only appeared to know a very little English and my Spa... Back for a sun break to Poseidon Palace having stayed at another resort off Levante beach last August. Confirmed what a great central location it was. So easy for the beach and the Old Town. The restaurant food was super as before and worth returning to just for the Spare Ribs. Refreshing to see reception staff smiling. Makes welcome a different meaning.

Visited in April with friends for a 5 day break. We were placed in the Poseidon Hotel part of the complex which we were happy about. First impressions were that the hotel was pleasant, welcoming and sparkly clean. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, a small balcony with table and chairs was a bonus. The rooms were also very clean and were serviced daily. No kettle as is common in Europe, take your own if you want a cuppa. The food was very good, plenty of choice of hot and cold meals. 6 girls had a quick week in the Sun. After reading most of the reviews Yes it's very Spanish.... Yes there were a lot of old people.... But we really enjoyed our stay. We had a week all inclusive and loved the food. Every drink we ordered came under the AL, you could get peanuts at the pool bar and after asking, we could order hotdogs and plain sandwiches within the AL but we didn't need to. Lovely hotel very clean and the food was great each night something for all tastes. Would have been great if there was more staff working at the bar during the day it could be a long wait at times which can be irritating. We didnt stay in the hotel at night as the entertainment was mostly for spanish but there was plenty off places to go. Would go back again to this hotel it was our first visit to Benidorm and it didn't disappoint.

We where not given the room we booked and paid for and we found out that happened to other English holiday makers, because the hotel prioritized the Spanish retired pensioners!! Because we was not giving a twin room apartment I had to share the same room with two double beds with my parents which means we all had no privacy, if I had been a child that would have been ok but I'm an adult!!!!!!!!!!! The entertainment was Spanish based every night, the same repeated blok... Read more

Catered for the Spanish guests in every way, most music in Spanish. Food ok but not hot as all plates were cold. Pool area had several broken tables , sunbeds and chairs , just left on the edges of the pool. Bathroom was very dated but adequate. Beds very comfy. In a great location for both New and Old towns

Loved the hotel & the food & room & pool area! being in the old town there was a lot of Spanish about 70% & 30% English but it was there holidays to! But massive issue with the sunbeds they could do with 100 beds to solve the problem there was a lot of arguments to!! I set my alarm for 7.30am everyday went down with my towels but sunbeds are locked up until 09.10am so I had to sit there with my table and chairs so I could get my spot as some shaded areas around the pool then they would unlock a... Excellent stay rooms perfect and the food was exceptional the only flaw was lifts to busy at meal times so if you were on the 14 floor your timing had to be good. The pool was a good size and plenty of space sun lounges soon taken but that's expected

Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean. Location is basically in the middle of everything, edge of old town, Lavante beech one side and Poniente the other. We were B&B so can only say that breakfast choice and quality were OK. As said by many, this hotel is mainly catering for the Spanish holiday maker, if that matters. Great value for money and would not hesitate to go back to.

the staff were most welcoming and helpful Most spoke a variety of languages. The rooms and facilities were above reproach. breakfast was with as much cava as one could drink and just about every kind of food hot and cold, fruit, cereals juices. We went under duress as we all had preconcieved ideas about Benidorm

Clean hotel, food mostly to cover the Spanish palate!not always hot!however the freshly grilled fish, meat was good.Entertainment clearly not for the British although one singer did do few hits we could identify with and have a dance to.mostly elderly Spanish couples line dancing overtook the entertainment lounge.I did find myself complaining to the manager as one particular entertainer was singing for hours in Spanish. After the manager spoke with him he did oblige us with a couple of well known E... Had a terrible time booking in room not ready for hours. In the end was given another room so why not be given this one much earlier??? The dining room was much too hot and the food was mainly for the Spanish as the meats were covered in some form of tomato sauce. The soups were very poor. Cereals at breakfast were few and far between in fact I have never known such a poor choice. 2 were chocolate coated 1 cornflakes (didn't taste right) and dry porridge you mixed yourself. The toasting machine... Read more

We really enjoyed our weeks stay. We had great weather for this time of the year and we had a room with great views and the sun all day. The staff were very friendly and efficient both in reception and the dining rooms. We had full board and the quality of the food was excellent with varied choices and also show cooking as well. We used the indoor pool and Jacuzzi. Location is perfect for the old town and 10 mins to the promenade to either the Levante or Poniente beaches. The local bus stops are... Read more

Loved everything about this hotel. 3 star hotel with 5* service, staff and food. The rooms lovely and clean with great views. Food gorgeous and we could always find something we liked. Breakfast time was great there were fried, boiled or scrambled eggs provided with as much toast as you like (you had to do it yourself in the rolling toaster but it was so easy and quick) bacon, sausages, beans, tomatoes, freshly cooked pancakes, warm fresh croisants, all the fruit and cereal you could eat tog... Benidorm is a special place and have tried several hotels over the years. This one is well situated between the old and new towns and is a decent sized complex. My family and friends decided to go all inc which I wouldn't bother with again as after a day or so the food is pretty much the same. But on a plus side there was plenty of fruit at lunch and dinner times. And a few snacks to go at whilst restaurant is closed. I guess it's horses for courses I would use here again as generally a nice ho... Read more

The hotel although a little dated is very clean and well managed. The rooms were big with good size balconies and comfy beds. Showers were good, although water managed to end up all over the floor! The breakfast was quite good in terms of the quality. The only drawback is the layout of the restaurant especially with the number of guests in there. I think maybe some kind of crowd control is required as it was a bit like a rugby scrum trying to get to the sausages! I'd stay again but will wear s... Read more

This was a lovely clean modern hotel where the staff could not do anymore for you. The indoor pool and gym were fab as was the proximity of the old town of Benidorm. The food however was not good. I love the Spanish food so was very excited to see the different things on offer. When it came to eating it well....... it was cold and tasteless I can't understand why the Spanish were eating it. Yep they were putting loads of salt and pepper on it. The drinks and snacks side of the all inclusive we... Read more

The rooms are very nice, we was on the 11th floor so had a great view. The location is between the old town and the british side of things so best of both worlds. There is a nice indoor pool if its a little cold outside, it was november when we went so came in handy. Would recomend.

We stayed at the Poseidon Palace hotel which is the tower block. Four lifts so no problems with access. Outdoor pool not heated in winter and there is an indoor pool of about ten metres. Also a jacuzzi (not very warm) and a gym . Only had breakfast there which was perfectly acceptable with good choices. On our last morning because of very early departure they let us have breakfast at 0530 in the sister hotel next door. Rooms were clean and tidy but small and nothing special. Good access to old ... Ive stayed here now about 7 or 8 times as part of a package with Running Crazy to participate in the Benidorm half marathon and 10k run. Each time we've stayed at the Posiedon Palace. This is the taller of the two buildings. Its important to remember that this hotel is a 3 star hotel so people shouldn't get carried away with their expectations. As a 3 star hotel its excellent. All the staff I dealt with from the reception to the restaurant to the cleaners were all very polite and professional... Read more
