We have just returned from another great holiday at the Rio park, we asked for a room on the 12th floor and got it,(thank you) the food, staff, and entertainment were great, I don't know how people can complain about this hotel, if you can find a better one in Benidorm for the money you pay let me know, yes the rooms need updating but then the price will go up, the only downers this time were the connection bar closed for the summer and the bar prices went up, still great value though.

This hotel is 2 stars but the staff are very good and the maids keep all areas clean. On arrival the hotel did not have a room for me. The did offer me a room in another hotel, but as all my friends were already in the hotel I decided to buck up with my mates for one night. I also noticed dozens of people being turned away over the next two days as they had no rooms available. The hotel is about 6 minutes away from the beach and strip and about 20 minute walk to the old town The food is vari... Read more

It's like a good holiday camp in the sunshine. (Although the staff keep them busy all day with games etc). Location: Located on the "yellow brick road". If you follow this road all the way down for about 5/10 minutes you hit the beach. The room was small but clean, Would be good if there was a fridge, The only thing that was really irritating when we came down to the pool in the morning and find that there are no sunbeds because people have reserved them with towels. We travelled as a family of 4, myself, husband, 10 year old and a baby. I was so disappointed with the size of the room we was given. Having a small baby I spent more time in the room than normal due to the baby being ratty because of the heat. The room was ridiculously small!! We couldn't put all our clothes away, the pram needed to be placed in the bathroom and what little space we did have the cot was put there, blocking the dressing table and access to the one plug. Having stayed here back in 2014 for a week, we decided to re try as the holiday price was considerably cheaper than anywhere else. We now wished we had paid the additional few hundred pounds to stay elsewhere. In fact a few days into the holiday we asked the rep to try and get us into the Don Pancho, but regretfully it was full. My take on the hotel is broken down as follows: Rooms: Stepping into the room I thought we had travelled back to 1986 with the dated decor and grotty furnishing(the b... Read more

Hi just returned from our second visit to Rio Park in Benidorm. Was a special trip and I emailed ahead for nice room. First room allocated was of poor standard and decor but more annoyingly was located on first floor (room 126) overlooking the street and was located right on top of the hotel generators. Plenty of choices in the buffet restaurant with times that suit both early risers and people who wish to have a lie in when it is breakfast time. The evening meal is also very flexible. There is two venues for evening entertainment where quality acts perform. We had another good holiday here from 11-18 October. The rooms are basic and clean and tidy. The food again was good - plenty of choice so something for everyone. The only problem which we did have was water coming through into our shower from the bathroom upstairs - but this was rectified pretty quickly. I also asked for extra pillows and these were brought within the hour. There seemed to be more entertainment this time and some of the acts which played on the main strip played here, so t... From the excellent staff to the yummy food that was served every night. The food here is on par with a 4*Hotel....Yes if I had to say anything negative the rooms do need updating but this is work in progress as one of our party had a room that had been done..... Visiting in October 2016, this large, busy hotel is great from check in to check out! It has enough amenities on site for all ages, from a good sized pool to table tennis, a bar and restaurant, entertainment lounge, arcade machines and more. We had breakfast and evening meal most days, the canteen style service worked well and the food was faultless, a different dish each night. The staff are lovely but the entertainment team are excellent so was the foam party. You can hire a fridge for your room and if you have mobility problems you can hire a scooter at the hotel. This hotel is in a good position it has lots of bars and restaurants in walking distance. The beach is about 15 minutes away.
