My wife and I booked the hotel via Jet 2, on a bed and breakfast basis and were very happy with the accommodation and service we received. This is a modern boutique style hotel, which we liked, the room was clean, with fresh towels each day, the bed was comfortable and we did not hear any traffic noise (the window faced into the centre of the building). Staff were friendly and helpful, always greeting us as we went in and out of the hotel.Location was perfect, in the centre, in the Gothic quart... Read more

Small boutique hotel located a short walk away from the Plaza Catalunya and Paseige de Gracia. The underground metro is also only a short walk away. Extra freidly staff who go a long way to fulfill anything that one needs. Special mention must be made of Celia,Roxane and Tom from the front desk. Very co-operative and always with a smile inspite of the hotel being farely busy most days. They helped us with bus tickets and restaurant reservations. Coming to the rooms. This is a nice little hotel with helpful staff and we had a comfortable and spacious family room. Breakfast was lovely with a good range of choice and welcoming surroundings. Its location is fairly central and an easy walk to Las Ramblas and public transport. However, on our last night the guests along our corridor and the one above us let their teenage children run riot in the stair well and just outside guest's rooms. After going out 3 times asking them to be quiet ( it was 1am by this point) ... Read more

I stayed in the Petite Palace for just 1 night while being in Barcelona for business. I was welcomed at the reception by name as I was probably the last person checking in. The gentleman was really friendly and helpfull. The room itself was large, clean and had a huge double bed. Also the bathroom was nice and large with all types of toilettries. The only thing to complain about the room was the fact that the only window "overlooked" the backwall of the adjecent building. The location of the ... Read more

Modern, nice looking hotel with very kindly staff, not far away from the centre of Barcelona . The room was clean and big enough for the three of us (three addults). Good beds, nice bathroom. When we stayed there it was my birthday, and the hotelstaff supprised me with a champagne breakfast! Never experienced that before from a hotel and I like to thank the ladies from the restaurant again for surprise me this way!

Very friendly helpful reception staff. Superb buffet breakfast. Amazing shower. Room very clean but let down by being disturbed while having siesta by the cleaner coming to do the room at 1600. Rooms very clean but the corridors had a lot of debris and did not seem to have been cleaned for several days. We were disturbed at night by noise of other guests. The pros outweigh the cons I would stay here again

I was at this "hotel" last week, asking for a double room, they first try to put me on a 130 cm bed with not even acces to it from both sides. after telling me that they would change me the room at 15:00, they gave me a 2 double bed room. We were a group and the oly solution they provided was to change me to other hotel (again, we were a group with a program of activities already set). The worst was when I joined the bathroom. Our family of five was in need of a large room to accomodate us. Petit Palace was one of few hotels til match this requirement. Our expectations were limited for the same reasons. The hotel however turned out to be a very pleasant one. Large, clean and modern room. Super central location and a very meeting and serviceful staff. The breakfast was very good also. The hotel comes highly recommended!

This hotel has an excellent location and good service. Our room was very nice and they cleaned it every day. The check-in was at 15 o'clock and the check-out was at 12 o'clock but it was nice that they kept our suitcases in the main time so that we could go and watch sights.

The hotel was in a great location. We were able to walk to almost everything we wanted to see. The hotel could use a little updating but that is the worst thing I can say about it. Be careful though when you take a shower. It only has a half glass wall and the water goes everywhere and the floor got very slippery. The staff took very good care of us and helped us get where we needed to go.

We had a very good first impression of the hotel front desk staffs. They are very friendly and helpful through out our stay. The breakfast is simple set up but including all hot and cold items. Especially, there is a kid corner where they can pick their candy. (Little thing that makes children feel special and happy for the rest of the day). The family room is so unique and well fit our requirements. The overall interior decoration of the hotel makes us feel luxury and relax. I love the coffee... Read more

First the good - great location, nice sized room, and nicely styled overall. Staff were friendly and helpful and the late checkout was beneficial. Only negative i had is, the cleanliness of the dining room on the morning of breakfast was shocking. It looked as if the bases of the chrome tables had been wiped with a dirty mop and left to dry. That needs attending to. The selection at breakfast wasn't great, the coffee machine was giving trouble and others had issues with the toaster. Its clos... Read more

This hotel had a great location, nice staff. Good set up for kids. Only feedback could be that the sofa bed for the kids was a little hard, but they slept pretty well. The room was really clean, spacious and the wifi worked well. We were very happy and would stay here again.

My room had almost no natural light and a 'view' of a dusty narrow light well. The fittings were aged and the ambience was more hospital than hotel. The basement breakfast room has no natural light. One small lift was not enough to service the upper floors. Worst of all, there seemed to be room parties going on all night, with doors slamming and people shouting in the corridors. If you value your sleep don't stay here.

My partner and I just got back from a great short trip (3 days) to celebrate her birthday. We managed to cram in everything we wanted to do, which was probably helped by the absolutely perfect location of this hotel - closest Metro stop is Passeig de Gracia, which has direct lines that go to most of the places you'd want to go in Barcelona. The room itself was small but very clean and the air con was a bloomin' life saver. The staff were lovely and very accommodating, and even brought out a su... Read more

Although the family room was on the small size, it was clean and beds were very comfortable. Excellent location, very convenient. Staff in reception were very helpful and no question was a silly question. Always had a smile! We didn't take up the breakfast option, but found the downstairs cafe/bar was excellent and open all sorts of hours. Only negative was that 4 nights was not long enough! Loved Barca!!

Stayed here for a couple of nights in a family room (no. 207). Extremely comfortable beds, lovely family room, very friendly staff & a great location. The breakfast is fine but the cafe next door is awesome! Only reason for not rating this as 5 is the bunk beds. The mattress on the top bunk was full depth, meaning that it came up higher than the sides of the bed. If your child has a history of falling out of bed this would give you sleepless nights. I stayed in Petit Palace Barcelona with my family for week. The hotel is a 5 minutes walk to Catalunya square and its metro station. Catalunya square is for me the heart of the city that connects la Rambla to Passeig de Gracia and Av. Porta de L'Angel. If you like walking, you can nearly go everywhere in the city. From the hotel in a maximum of 20 min walk you can arrive to barconeleta beach passing by the arc of Triomph and the Ciutadella park. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is good with... Read more

The hotel itself was lovely, quiet and cosy with large rooms and a fantastic central location. However, as I was staying with my girlfriend I booked a room with a double bed. We were surprised to say the least when we discovered a room with two single beds. Great hotel, central location. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We stayed in a family room, with a double bed and a sofa bed, and the room was huge!! Lovely hotel with friendly and helpfull staff close to La Rambla, metro and bus station. Modern clean room, however the bath room is a bit dated this could not be any point during the pleasant and lovely short break staying in Barcelona. The breakfast is excellent! I would recomment friends and family to chose this lovely hotel. So of course my next staying in Barcelona will be Petit Palace.

The best is the location- very close to the center but without the center commotion. Good breakfast, clean and modern rooms. Cons: As it is still the center of a big city expect a few downsizes: 1. Couldn't get into our hotel the first night in Barcelona so travel agent put us in Petit Palace for one night. After the first rate Hotel Urban in Madrid, this was a bitter pill to swallow. We located but that's about all I can say. One of those no soul modern hotels. Clean and adequate but that's as far as it goes. Missed breakfast as it was an extra ?15 each so we decided to pass. Moved to Hotel Indigo after and very very nice hotel. Booked thru Windstar Cruises.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for three nights and thought that it was terrific. Special mention goes to Maria at reception who was really very helpful in all of her interactions with us both. Would certainly recommend this hotel. Quieter location is just off touristy and exciting La Rambla , but more interestingly for me, offers insights into local neighbourhoods by simply walking out into the surrounding streets. Try the local draught beer at the bar. It was yummy!
