If you're looking for a run of the mill, average hotel stay - this is the place. Compared to the other NH Hotel we stayed in, though this location could have used some updating. Everything is clean. The minimal interaction we had with the staff was pleasant. The wifi was a bit slow, as would be expected with such a high volume of use. The location was pretty perfect, though. Right in the centre of the city, a few minutes to La Rambals and a ton of shops, restaurants and things to see. The Casa B... Read more

I would say the pictures are fairly accurate online. If you have problems with your knees or hips, request a shower only. The tub is high for a 5ft person. This hotel has a nice staff. They do not have amenities like a pool or hot tub. I think thats much needed here. We didn't purchase the breakfast since there is so many restaurants near. The rooms are clean (we had 3 different types) but, beds a more firm. They need bathroom fans or ceiling fans. They also need to keep up the bathroom molding.... Read more

this place is very convenient to Barcelona Cathedral, plaza, grocery, and the bus to the airport. The hardest part is when the taxi driver can not locate the entry of this hotel when you first arrive. The hotel is located in the interior part of the gothic style cramped up buildings. Once you get the hang of it, it's what you need for a hotel location.

Can't beat this location and value. Located right by all the shops and restaurants and within walking diatance to everything. My only negative was that they turned off the AC to the hotel in the middle of the night which disturbed my sleep as it got quite warm at 4 AM.

We were happy to stay at NH Barcelona Centro. We have stayed at other NH hotels in other cities. This hotel was ideally located, clean and efficient. The breakfasts were delicious. The staff were courteous and helpful. If I could change one thing it would be that the bathtub was slippery with no bar to hold getting in and out.

This is a very well located hotel close to the major tourist areas and next door to La Rambla. It's up a small street so getting there by taxi can be a problem at certain times of the day. I had to walk about 100m but it wasn't a problem as the driver gave me clear directions. A ?30 cab ride from the airport. The hotel is modern, clean and well run. It's fairly expensive, but that's Barcelona. You won't be disappointed.

The location of the hotel Is very good as it is walking distance to la ramblas and to shopping stores. However, we were placed in two rooms that had an extremely strong smell of cigarettes which I can't stand!!! Also, in one part of the room, the roof has some holes . I consider it needs an urgent renovation.

We stayed in room 326 for 4 nights. The room was immaculate and offered shampoo, lotion, a hairdryer, and body wash as amenities. The view was not the best; it looked out to a courtyard and down into the sunroof of a store below. However, the room got natural light and was quiet. A very comfortable king bed made up for any lack of view. The daily breakfast was outstanding everyday. We loved the eggs made to order and wide variety of delicious choices. Great location within walking distance to so much! St. Joe's Square, Las Ramblas, cathedral and a short taxi ride to the local public beach. Was here for a short trip at the end of Mar, staff were very pleasant and we got a room upgrade which was a bonus. However that probably meant the standard rooms were a bit plainer. Location wise about 5mins from the airport bus station and Las Ramblas, metro, hence very convenient. Even at night, my friend and I felt safe walking back to the hotel.

When one of our traveling companions ended up in a French hospital, unable to make the next leg of the journey to Barcelona, this hotel along with Travelocity refunded his money even though they were under no obligation to do so. This is the second time I have stayed at the NH Centro. Rooms are good and the location is perfect. Good friendly service. I would come back again. only one minor suggestion is to display the price for the pod coffee provided in the reception area as some people may think it is for free.

We stayed at this hotel on a 'Rick Steves' trip and these are the very easy walking directions to the hotel from the Aerobus stop at Plaza Catalunya: Get off the bus and turn right (towards the back of the bus). With El Corte Ingles on your left and the park on your right, look for the Bank de Espanya (my note - may be wrong spelling) - this is Avenue Portal de l'Angel - a pedestrian street. Walk down about two blocks and turn right on Carrer de la Canuda (at the Disney Store),. Walk to the ... Read more

We were pleased with our stay at NH Barcelona Centro. Upon arrival, it was easily reached from the Aerobus stop at Placa Catalunya. Reception staff is pleasant and helpful. In fact, the only negative that we found is that, when we were there, the desk was usually managed by only one employee, who had to handle the telephone, registration, questions from tourists, etc., so there are often waits. Our room was typical for European hotels, with adequate space and a nice bathroom. Everything wa... Read more

Great location in the Gothic quarter, friendly & helpful staff, great breakfast, nice room. Room was small - this is typical - but every hotel I have ever stayed in Europe is that way unless I was in a suite. You're not there to sit in your room anyway!

Best location we could get. It is within walking distance of many tourist attractions. The rooms are a bit small by american standards and TV programming does not have many channels in English but hey ... who goes to Barcelona to spend their time in the room and watching TV. Laura from front desk was amazing in assisting us with directions to various tourist attractions and thanks to her we enjoyed one of the best Flamenco shows ever.

Very clean and room is quite large by European standards. Bathroom small but clean and more than adequate. Great location in the Bari Gotic, just a short walk to Plaza Cataluyna and metro stations. Lots of eating and shopping very close by, also bank ATMs and a small grocery directly across the street for snacks and drinks. Easy metro connections to all the major sites. The breakfast buffet is lavish and included more choices than I could sample in a 6-night stay. Highly recommend for an a... Read more

Stayed middle of September 2016 for 4 nights The hotel is situated 2 streets off La Rambla so its in a perfect position for many of the sites, restaurants and public transport. If your driving you cannot drive to the hotel but there is underground parking close by which the hotel has a deal with. Hotel has disabled rooms which are a good size and can locate a mobility scooter. The shower is over the bath and for me was awkward to get into but it did have rails to help. I enjoyed this hotel - it had character, an excellent breakfast served on Spanish schedule, and nice staff. It is walking distance of much of Barcelona. some noise ... not bad. I would stay here again. Tips: you are in a dimly lit though safe sidestreet. It is hard to get taxis in front, due to people-jams, so walk a few blocks if you can. No need to pay more for a view. And shame on me for noticing the multiple nearby pokestops :)

We stayed here our first two nights in Barcelona. This hotel is in the best location, seems everything is within a 5 minute walk. The rooms are small, and a bit on the older side, but clean, safe, and a good value. I'm glad we stayed here, and would recommend to others without a business expense account.

Good location for exploring the Gothic Quartier on foot, and easy access to public transportation at Playa Catalunya. The breakfast hour is long, to cater for guests with different schedule; and the variety is abundance, for all types of diners. The room is clean and comfortable for a good night sleep. But everything else is plain and basic.

The bathroom was also larger than expected. The only issue we had was having enough available plugs to use for our chargers.
