To start off on a positive note, the hotel was very clean and the breakfast was both good and plentiful. the room was OK- spacious enough, if a little basic. however, when we tried to sleep we ran into problems. The nights in Barcelona were still a bit chilly and we had only a sheet and thin throw on the bed. We asked for a blanket and it didn't arrive. When we asked again, the staff were unconvinced that we didn't already have one and tried to search the room. We eventually got the blanket (h... Read more

I am not okay with the lift and the the rooms we had. The air conditioning didn't work, the bed was very short, my feet were outside, the shower was more than used, no toilet brush. Breakfast was okay, a lot of choice, nice and helpfull service people everywhere, but the lift was terrible. Very loud, the display for the number of the floor doesn't work, it makes terrible noise so that many guests took the stairs, the did not trust it.

I planned a last minute trip to Barcelona on my own, never been on my own before or to barcelona so was a little nervous however when I arrived which was pretty late the staff were really welcoming and I felt right at home. The pool on the roof is fantastic and the rooms were nice and clean. The location was good, close to the metro and the tour bus pick up and travel is so cheap it was great. The best thing about the trip was one of the guys on reception, guillermo, he was so helpful and guided... Read more

It's a nice hotel if not basic. Not too far from the metro (L4 Hospital Clinic Station is less than a block away) or caf├ęs. Had an issue with the bed (metal bar sticking out which the husband caught his leg on. Picture below) which happened on a Sunday afternoon and was rectified the following morning with a full bed replacement. (Wouldn't expect anything else for a Sunday) The management couldn't have been more apologetic and accommodating. The room is a decent size (and includes a safe) and t... Read more

The hotel is situated in the center of the city about 5 min walk from the metro station. The staff is very very friendly and helpfull. Our room was cleaned each day. We loved this hotel and we recomend this hotel to everybody.

The rooms are very very small, nothing like what you see in their professional photos!! The desk staff (especially the one in the evening) not very helpful (inflexible)! Did not feel welcome!! Further, every time, we went out, we had to turn in the keys and stand in line to get the key back.

A well positioned hotel in a nice area with very helpful staff. We did not eat in the hotel. The pool on the roof was a nice feature and very clean , with sun beds and tables and chairs also. The furniture is slightly dated but is functional. . TV - only one English Channel - not good enough these days especially for a big tourist area

Our stay here was lovely, yes the rooms are outdated, but that should not matter unless you are away just to sit in your hotel room? Same with the TV- it only has one English channel, but we spent as much time as we could exploring. The WIFI is free and there is a good signal in the rooms. The hotel was fine, the bathroom was a little dark with not much ventilation and the air con did not work. It is noisy outside and worse if you need to open the window for some air. However for a three day st... Read more

Pictures are definitely better than the real thing. There is nothing wrong with this hotel but I do think it is too expensive for what it is worth. The rooms are clean and well maintained, if a little tired. All the staff were very helpful and polite. The hotel is well situated, about 30/40 minute walk to the main area or you can get a taxi or use the metro. Genuinely nothing wrong, just too expensive in my view.

The location of the hotel is close to a metro station and per my experience the Barcelona metro is one of the easiest to use to get around. The hotel offers a decent breakfast spread in the morning with lots of options. The front desk service was great and housekeeping staff work quick. That being said, not sure if they allow smoking in the rooms but our room smelled of cigarette. We checked in late so house keeping had already left and all they could offer (no other rooms) was a bottle of soa... Read more

This hotel is further from las rambles, the port etc than it appears on a map or explains in it's own details, you need two metro rides to get to most places. The breakfast is nice with a good selection for cold items, the hot is very limited. Reception staff are friendly but did manage to sell us the wrong cable car tickets so be careful when buying any attraction tickets through them that they understand exactly what you want. The breakfast staff were not overly friendly unless you have blonde... Read more

The hotel is very close to Hospital Clinic metro station so it very easy to get into central Barcelona. It has a rooftop pool which is 1m deep - you have to walk up stairs to get to this which are long so it's not very wheelchair friendly. The lifts are a nightmare they shut on you even if you're standing in the doorway this happened at least once a day to us. The wifi is poor however you get it in the room. The room is cleaned every day and the maid is lovely. You also get a safe in your room a... Read more

Me and my partner stayed here for 5 nights. We located on the 6th floor which was very handy for the rooftop pool which was on the 7th. Check in was problem free and a very friendly guy on reception told us what we needed to know. The room itself was small and basic, it's just a room with a bed and bathroom, but it was all we needed, as we spent the majority of our time seeing what Barcelona had to offer. There was no noise on our floor, apart from others coming and going which is to be expected... Read more

The hotel staff very very helpful and polite, and always happy to help, all in all i would stay there again, only a few meteors from the metro and a mcdonalds very close, the rooms were cleaned everyday and and the bed was comfortable, did not try the food so can't give a opinion on that, the pool on the roof is very child friendly

It's basic but OK. Just about OK. Don't go here expecting anything fancy, because you'll be disappointed. Don't expect a big room, a quiet room, or a bed that doesn't feel as though it is stuffed with rocks. Don't expect your room to look like the one at the top of this page. Don't expect to be very close to the centre of Barcelona: what you save on a room here, in fact, you may very well lose on Metro tickets, which are as pricey as anything else in this city. It is, however, fine. You're not g... Read more

Clean and friendly hotel. Air conditioning was poor but we didn't complain. A good half hour walk to ramblas but this suited us. Only a 10 minute walk to the city tour bus stop. Roof pool and whirlpool weren't the best but were very welcome and relaxing after a hot day sightseeing. Buffet breakfast was more than adequate. Evening meal in the restaurant was just like Fawltey Towers. No sooner had the menu been handed to you, the waitress wanted your order for all 3 courses at once! Food was de... Read more

Myself and my partner stayed here from the 5th to the 9th of september. On arrival we met with the receptionist Gullimer (sorry for the spelling) he was a very happy and helpful man. Went over and above to help us. Rooms are ok clean and spacious. Bed is comfy and aircon works. This hotel suited us perfectly as we were on an adventrous holiday so we didnt spend much time in hotel. My partner who is a wheelchair user needed to use the access lift up to the rooftop to use swimming pool. For the fi... Read more

Found the hotel and their staff very friendly and helpful indeed especially the reception staff who were very knowledgeable except for one who told us the shops in the bullring shopping centre were open on Sundays so we walked for 30 mins or so to find that they were shut. The rooms were spacious and cleaned every day with fresh towels. The roof top pool was very good indeed. The breakfast was ample and fresh every day. Special thanks to the breakfast room lady who was very bubbly and friendly... Read more

Staff friendly and helpful. Room very clean with new towels daily, but air conditioning hit and miss and some noise from clanky lift. Breakfast was fine, they even had a limited cooked option which was good. About 30 minutes walk from las Ramblas but we chose this area to be between the Gothic area and Camp Nou/Magic fountain. Very pleasant walks via different routes to main attractions. We tended to take taxis back in evening which are very reasonable and plentiful. We stayed for 3 nights on a ... Read more
