Everyone has their own expectations so my rating of very good is a cautious one. I personally thought everything was great. it is in a beautiful baroque building with a modern interior. Its on a quiet street even though its on a large boulevard. The service is impeccable, the front desk, porters, dining room staff and bellhops are courteous and eager to help. There is free wi-fi in the room but I overheard one guest being billed so that may depend on with who or how you book your room. Room wa... Read more

Stayed here for the Barcelona Grand Prix and thought it was a nice hotel. Breakfast was Gd and rooms clean although quite small and bathroom layout a bit strange with bidet far to close to toilet. Gd position and nice rooftop bar and small pool. Easy to get to all the bats and restaurants and if active even the beach although bit of a walk.

We stayed here for one night after the Grand Prix. Modern Hotel, lovely rooftop pool and bar. Rooms very clean. Within easy walking distance of La Ramblas - about 10 mins. Also within walking distance of the gothic quarter and airport bus. No complaints.

This hotel was in a great location for all of the attractions in the city, a short walk from the main square. The service was very friendly, rooms were clean and tidy and the restaruant served a delicious breakfast and evening meal if you didn't want to venture out in the city.

We stayed here for four nights in early May. The weather unfortunately was poor for two of those days but as soon as it improved we made use of the wonderful rooftop solarium. We enjoyed drinks up there during the early evening, the view is lovely. We decided to have one of the rooms on the sixth floor with huge balconies and sun beds. I could highly recommend these rooms. The wifi in the rooms is the best we've ever experienced and the facilities in the room were very good. We ate in the restau... Read more

What can I say! A great experience. We arrived at 10.30am easter Sunday, being fully aware that we couldn't check in we decided to get to the hotel and then move out from there on arrival the lady on reception couldn't of been more welcoming or helpful. She arranged for our bags to be taken to our room once it was ready got us a warm drink and a pastry. When we got back to the hotel at around 7pm we collected a key from reception and a member of staff took us to our room. What a room! We have... Read more

Stayed for four nights in this convenient hotel. Although on a main road, the hotel was quiet. The air conditioning kept the room at 20deg which was too warm. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom well stocked and clean. We ate breakfast at a local cafe opposite for ‚?¨9 for both of us which more cost effective. The pool area provided a comfortable respite from sightseeing. Overall we would recommend.

The hotel is undoubtedly well situated for access to Sagrada Familia and the city centre but the hotel has a problem in connecting with its visitors. Its management is weak with few controls over its staff: 1. On first arrival met at door by bell-hop who took our suitcases and then was never seen again in our whole 5 days at the hotel. 2. Our room was not cleaned on two days before our return to the hotel late afternoon. Breakfast is good and the staff in that room were attentive and proactive.... Read more

My mother and I had a wonderful time in this excellently located hotel. Right from the start we experienced five star service. We arrived earlier than check in time but could check in as the room was ready. This is not something I expect, but appreciated the efforts of reception to get us in a ready room. The lobby is spacious and welcoming and there are always staff on hand. We stayed in room 507, which was right near the lift, but we didn't hear any activity in the hallway as our bedroom was... Location is great for exploring Barcelona. Within walking distance of all the main attractions and very near the over ground and underground trains too but away from the crowds. Staff were helpful and polite throughout our stay. Room was nice and clean and the bed very comfortable. We did not eat in the hotel as we felt breakfast was a little pricey. Would definitely stay again if we visited Barcelona.

Only complaints I have is the Wi Fi, which was terrible, and the breakfast...not enough of a selection for 19 euros per person. Overall, I would recommend this hotel!

A nice hotel and a good location. There was renovation work being done on my floor. Clearly the rooms are not sound proofed! Not sure it was truly 4 stars - things missing from mini bar, breakfast good but not 4 star. Service slow. It was located between two metro stops and buses outside the door.

There is no such thing as a perfect hotel All hotels have flaws. Having read 'some' of the negative reviews for this hotel don't think that the points raised would prevent me from booking a holiday (you only have to look at some of the level of service we get in UK) Firstly I have to say on arrival this hotel is breathtaking and immaculate. We arrived about 7pm and were given room 101 on the first floor facing the street. The room was a little tired but spacious enough. The first night we were awoken by a horrendous crashing and banging which we realised was bins being emptied outside at 2.30am!! This lasted almost an hour by which time we were both wide awake. The walls were also paper thin so could hear everything our neighbours were doing. We figured the bin emptying was a one off so didn't complain, however it happened again... Read more

A team of people convened in Barcelona to spend time enjoying the city but also spending a day and a half offsite. The Silken Gran Havana was certainly well located, and only a block and a half from the Hotel Indigo where others were staying, so its got that going for it. The terrace gave great views of the city although there is a lot of traffic noise and the terrace was partially overlooked by the (chilly) rooftop pool. This hotel was very good for our situation. It was centrally located, and the room was large enough to accommodate the whole family. The rooftop bar had a beautiful view and pool, and it was very relaxing up there. We arrived as part of a group of 10 - the location in Barca is really excellent. Super central but not smack in the middle of tourist hell. The walk down to the Gothic quarter or Sagrada, really enjoyable - the walk to Plaza de Espana - maybe just that little too far. The reception of the hotel is modern and relaxing. Loved it! Though pricey (b/c it's in Barcelona), the rooms were clean, modern, and well furnished and the A/C worked well. Breakfast was a typical Catalonian continential style and very tasty. Staff were polite. Biggest complaints? The roof top pool is just a bit larger than a wading pool and the wifi forced me to re-enter the username and password EVERY TIME I wanted to use my iPhone or iPad. Staff know about the issue but don't have a solution yet.

The hotel was an ideal twin room. Beds were comfy, bathroom was clean. The rooftop pool was small so perhaps if you were looking to sunbathe all day you'd need to get a spot early. The thing that made the hotel for us was the rooftop bar and terrace. We had a drink or two each evening to separate the days from the nights. Room clean and comfortable with sheets and towels changed daily despite us not expecting or requesting this. We were on room only basis and I think the buffet breakfast even with the discount they offered us at 14 euros each is a bit steep. The roof top terrace is very nice although small and the pool was half e... Read more

The room was very well appointed and very clean. The staff were very helpful, cheerful and accommodating. We booked for a half board stay and you can choose whether to eat in the restaurant, or with a more limited choice, at the rooftop bar. The restaurant food was lovely but the rooftop bar had more atmosphere and the staff were well organised and friendly. The pool is small but it is perfect to just cool down. The location is amazing, everything is close to hand and we managed to walk everywhe... Read more

Hotel met our expectations well. Good staff, clean 6th floor rooms, with comfotable beds. The balcony was very wide. Badroom and toilet was clean and well arranged. The staff knew their role. The breakfast was very good with fresh orange juices and all necessary components. The pool bar is good after running the whole day in te city. Good choice to stay in this hotel in Barcelona.

I stayed this hotel last year for the first part of my honeymoon. Location is a little bit far away to La Rambla (20 minutes walk). It is OK for me because I love discovering a new city by walking. But if you don't want to walk, there are two metro station near to hotel (100 metres away, at the next street). The rooms are big enough but furnished a little bit old fashion. Cap is high, I love that. There ise only one balcony at hotel and it was for my room. I also love that. Cleanliness is good ... Read more
