Firstly i never bother writing reviews but i feel i must. All i can say is the Glories hotel is a great hotel purely based on the staff alone. ALL 3 reception staff were fantastic!, i have stayed in some 5 star hotels and they can all learn a few things from the 3 men on the reception!!! They couldn't do enough to make sure my short visit with my wife was perfect, They were always ready with advice on were to go and things to see. The rooms are basic, the food was nice, cheap and cheerful.!!! W... Read more

I will start with the positive points: friendly staff, good bed, great breakfast and excellent wifi. However there were also downsides. The noise to start with. Almost everything can be heared from outside and inside. Cars, scooters, people talking in the room next to you. It gave me the impression that no isolation at all was used. Then there was the safe. Although I mostly don't use it, I wondered why they chose for a safe that opens with a simple card. Everyone with a card like that c... Read more

We had the misfortune of staying at Glories hotel, Barcelona for 2 nights (3rd and 4th May). It is far from being a 3-star hotel that they claim to be, the rooms and bathrooms are quite basic. We also had the extremely stressful experience of being asked to shift to an another hotel after two nights, in spite of being booked there for a third night as well, and the staff conveniently avoided mentioning this to us at the time when we checked into the place. The hotel is understaffed, and breakfa... Read more

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the cleaning staff did an excellent job . We arrived at 0100 but were woken up at 0200 by noisy guests. Unfortunately the cleaning staff and breakfast staff woke us up at 0700 hours outside our room preparing for the morning duties . The hotel is noisy simply because of the marble floors and the rooms are quite close together which makes door closing and conversations outside the room easily heard . The breakfast was excellent . Wifi worked ... Read more

We planned a reunion of girls to Barcelona... Picked this hotel as it has the best location..Walking distance from Sagrada Familia....All good so far... We had booked for 3 nights and checked in... The staff seemed friendly till then....On the second night when we were back to the hotel from sightseeing we were informed that they were overbooked and we had to leave the next day as they had new guests for our rooms.... This was shocking to us as we had paid for 3 nights ... They did arrange anoth... Read more

The staff at this hotel were a highlight. Very welcoming and friendly and extremely helpful in finding things for you to do. The hotel itself is quite standard. The area surrounding it is more residential than tourist based. There are a few homeless people around but they didn't cause us any problems. A few good shops and a metro station roughly 5 minutes away. The Sagrada Familia is not too far by walking or by metro. The rooms were a bit funky. Thin walls meant we could hear the neighbours and... Read more

We were assigned to this hotel by our holiday company for 2 nights following a cruise. As it was included as part of the cruise cost we weren't expecting much to be honest. When we first saw the hotel exterior, lobby and our room we were pleasantly surprised. It looked much nice than we had expected. Yes, the room was basic with not much storage but otherwise had everything we needed. Free Wi-Fi was a bonus as most hotels seem to regard internet access as a money making exercise. Downsides w... I went there with my sweetheart daughter on the 27th of June and spent 7 nights. All the staff were extremely gentle and helpful. Especially Zoran was really kind and did his utmost to help us and solve the little problems. The room was noisy when you open the window but it was very clean. The room was cleaned and the towels changed daily by the house keepers. They were so friendly, too. The wi-fi was perfect. The only negative thing was the price of the breakfast. I checked the breakfast out. O... Read more

Hotel glories was very relaxing and breakfast was always superb, even catering for late risers like my wife who has dementia. It is easy walking distance to la famillia sagradia which is awesome with a modern twist to classical style. Easy walk to a choice of metro stations so a pretty good location as the metro is so easy and cheap.

We stayed here for 4 nights and reccomend the hotel. Friendly staff at reception and in the dining room and housekeeping. Breakfast has plenty of choice and frequently topped up. The room we stayed in 209 was spotless and the towels changed daily. It was noisy at times but you expect that with the Hotel being on a busy crossroads with building work going on. Bring a travel kettle as there are no tea/coffee making facilities. There is a supermarket next door and bars near the Hotel. Sagrada Famili... Read more

Unfortunately, best thing I can say is there is potential in this hotel. I assume it was decent at one stage but rooms and halls all in need of an upgrade. Location is decent as there are good nearby transport links and reasonable walking times to some of Barcelona's finest tourist spots. It would do if you needed your head down for a couple nights after touring all day, albeit with air conditioning that was more like a fan in the ceiling.... Didn't try food or drinks so can't comment on those... Read more

We stayed here for one night after returning from a cruise. 10 min walk to the sagrada familia and quite central for the rest of Barcelona. Nice clean and quiet hotel in a great area. Receptionist's were really helpful would use again for sure

Clean, friendly and surprisingly quiet for being in the city! Bathrooms and shower were clean and nice. Only negative thing I have to say is very hard and small beds. Pillows are thinner than my comforter at home! But I think the un luxurious bedding is a thing here in Spain. And it's very close to a parking garage!

Stayed here with my husband in January 2015. The hotel is in a brilliant location close to metro, historic landmarks and the glories shopping centre 10min walk away with restaurants and shops. The hotel is basic but clean. We only used it as a base but it had a TV and working air-conditioning and was quiet.

It's an out n out budget hotel...their rooms are very small n cosy though...the rooms are air conditioned ...but v shud not expect the room to be cool...AC just maintains the room temperature at an very optimal level...ambience is not that good...breakfast is purely Spanish...and served in a very small room under stairs ...

Stayed in this hotel enroute to a cruise for 2 nights, room was in the basement, quite dark and cramped. Check in was good, the big guy on reception was very helpful. There only seems to be one female member of staff acting as receptionist, who also covers the bar and food / drink provision. On check out day ,reception phoned a taxi and we were taken to the Port of Barcelona. We were promptly ripped off by the taxi driver who charged us 28 euro to travel approx 4 miles, in my anger I left a ... Read more

The hotel is located a short walk from Glories and Monumental metro stops. The staff are good. The room was fine. It was a bit dark as the window faced the inner courtyard. However, i think you can ask for a room facing the road. There is aircon in the room, but I didn't need to use it. A safe is provided in the room. It wasn't big enough for my laptop, but could fit a small macbook, I reckon. The bathroom was clean and the shower had good water pressure. The TV switches on automatically when yo... Read more

Stayed for 2 nights before embarking on a cruise. Room small and very clean but adequate for a short stay. Very good breakfast with some hot items. Staff very helpful especially the man on reception who phoned our transfer company twice as they were running late for our pickup. Would stay again

This hotel is never going to be a real 3 star establishment.. It's dated and tired... If you want a budget hotel, this is your place. Breakfast is overpriced and quality of food was average. I would suggest not to pay the 9 euros and find a local cafe for breakfast ??..

The staff was not very friendly, average breakfast, poor cleaning, but nice location, close to the underground station and not too far from the sea. But, it happed often that no personnel at the reception desk. However, one girl hepl me this the map and city orientation. Not food for families, I think it is ok for budget couples or solo.

The location of the hotel is quite good, with close proximity to Sagrada Familia, and tourist bus routes. It is also close to two metro stations: Glories and Monumental. Close to centre of Barcelona so the travel does not take that long. The hotel is not, in my opinion, a 3* hotel, it's basic and simple. It's looks dated and in need of some TLC, the room size is ok. However, we only slept there so did not bother us at all. I visited in December so cannot comment on A/C usage as we did not have... Read more

My friend and I found ourselves here after an Airbnb accommodation went south. The previous night we were able to find accommodation at another three star establishment and this is what I rate my review upon. This is NOT a three star hotel. It cost over 20? more a night than our previous accommodation. There was no air conditioning, the towels were thin, the decor dated and worn. There was no in room coffee. The only thing to recommend this hotel is a friendly staff and good water pressure.

The hotel employeers are very kind and helpfull and the hotel is very clean and silent. Parking is nearby, breakfast is tasting and rich. The only problem for us was traffic outside, so we had to close the window. The location is a litle far from Nou camp, but the connection with metro stations is OK.
