We stayed at this hotel for one night only. Service was friendly and the room itself and the bathroom was clean. The furniture was old fashioned and room was dark, facing a atrium. The windows could not be completely closed. During the night I woke up several times as there so much noise in the atrium. I would not recommend the hotel for stays exceeding one night.

We stayed at this hotel for the Springsteen concert and wanted somewhere central and accessible by public transport. The hotel is in a great position in Carrer Ferran right by the town hall and the cathedral, close to many restaurants and bars and 5 mins walk from Liceu or Jaume 1 metros. The rooms have seen better days and the impression is dull, drab and brown but everything was clean and it was spacious enough for us not to bump into each other. The bathroom was fair sized with a large bath wi... Read more

Just returned from a five day stay in the Rialto hotel in Barcelona. The hotel is very central to all areas of interest, the Rambles just a five min. walk and Port Vell about 15 min walk. The hotel was very clean and rooms cleaned daily to a high standard. There were a number of nice pubs and places to eat close by. The breakfast was ok with plenty of food on display. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only fault we found with hotel was there were no English channels on the t.v. I wo... Read more

There is no doubt ... this Hotel is situated perfectly for the budget tourist. It can get very busy at the front desk. Staff were helpful and courteous. You can't compare Asian or American hotels to Europe when it comes to amenities and space. Rooms were clean. Toiletries in the bathroom could be improved and the TV could be modernized. Walls are rather thin so be prepared for some night time noise. Breakfast was basic. There are loads of beautiful cafes in walking distance close to the hotel. N... Read more

We stayed here for two days prior to a cruise , hotel is right off La Rambla in a busy side street . Room was nice , bright and clean . Breakfast is in a vault like cellar lots of tables and a good selection of hot and cold food . it was only 2 mins to walk to La Rambla , which is a very busy area of restaurants and shops .

Ive been to a lot of hotels in Europe and this is by far the best one. Considering money of course this hotel was not expensive room was big friendly staff clean and in the center about 2 min walk from ramblas and from the subway. Air conditioning was working perfectly big bathroom and shower. All in all it was an excellent hotel if you are not looking for something super fancy

This is our third time staying here. The rooms are basic but clean and with very comfy beds. The breakfast buffet is basic but good. Considering the location, this hotel is very good value for money. This time we didn't have a mini fridge in our room (that has been standard before). We didn't ask them about it so we don't know if you can get a fridge if you pay a fee or if they are removing this from the hotel service all together.

A very comfortably remodled hotel in the midst of the Barri Gòtic (Gothic Quarter) of Barcelona. Very central to most things, including the Plaça de Catallunya, Metro, tourist information bureau, hop on, hop off bus and lots of great eating houses. Barcelona's main rail station, Sants, is only about 15 minutes away and will cost about ?11 by taxi. Breakfast is a bit average but enough to get you going.

I have never seen such a horrible and smelly hotel room. The staff is very friendly though and I was offered to change to another room. This one did not smell as bad but actually had no window at all. Big warning on this hotel...

This hotel is great location, easy to navigate to main tourist areas including hop on, hop off buses. Rooms were satisfactory but dated. Mattress was the worst we'd encountered over 4 weeks travelling, small and no support, out of shape, uncomfortable. We requested ice bucket and was provided shower cap (communication language breakdown, gave us a laugh), told we needed to go to bar ourselves to get ice bucket. Breakfast ordinary, sufficient, however due to gluten intolerances had a very limite... Read more

Very basic hotel, small rooms no mini fridge or tea/coffee making facilities. Staff were good and friendly. You had to pay Euro 2 a day for safe, which had a key, not a combination safe. Breakfast was ok, quite a variety, but only hard boiled eggs, no fried or scrambled eggs. The location is excellent, just a few steps to La Rambla, so 10 out of 10 for location. Barcelona is a great city, lots of good shopping and lots to see.

*Scroll to end of review for some quick tips :)* So Rialto Hotel is a pretty average hotel with everything you would need from a hotel but not much more since most of the day is spent outside sightseeing anyway. The location is almost ideal, being on the same street as many shops including ice cream shops, clothes shops and many restaurants further down the road. Rialto Hotel is well-located near major attractions, nightlife, restaurants, and shopping. Because I was traveling with a group I had the opportunity to see a variety of rooms. The single rooms were very small; there was barely enough room for the furniture. The upper floors got a lot of sunlight and were warm but the A/C worked well enough. Some of the rooms on lower floors had only one very small window and no natural sunlight. My room smelled like a combination of trash and food (most like... Read more

Location wise cannot ask for more, this was a hotel we used for breakfast and returned at bedtime. Do not expect much outsides of a continental breakfast and tidy common areas. Wifi poor other than in reception area Honestly, is on a busy street so was noisy at night time and early morning but we were normally either up or involved in making the noise ourselves as loads of good bars to be found nearby.

This location was fantastic to what we were looking for. Unfortunately the room, not so great. We are travelling for a long period of time and didn't even have anywhere to put a suitcase, the reason is, is that the room has a skinny, tight spiral staircase which leads you to a bedroom. I left angry because of the small space in the "room" (cupboard is more accurate). And no one asked how our stay was to let them know these thoughts. Strange, crowded, rundown room? Check! Noise from both within the hotel and from the street, filtering through the paper thin walls and the single paned windows (one of which didn't really shut and lock)? Check! Dark hallways with motion sensor lights that don't turn on until you're halfway down them? That too!
