Stayed for the F1 Grand Prix weekend and could not fault it. Our second visit here and were equally impressed. Fantastic service from check in to leaving. Rooms are really nice and comfortable and have a safe, wardrobe with plenty of hangers, hairdryer, fridge and drinks making facilities. The bar is lovely, great selection of drinks and gins in particular plus temperature controlled wine warmers/coolers, really nice to relax in and I'm now trying to convince my husband to install a "Verve" wall... I stayed with my family for 3 nights in May and we were all underwhelmed by the experience. To begin the staff on the check in counters are extremely slow. Don't be surprised if you are waiting 15 minutes to be seen, then if your room isn't ready waiting again to get your keys later on. Quite frustrating when you want to be out exploring Barcelona. The bathroom was nice, the room standard. We went to see the roof top area and there wasn't a bar open which was a shame. It is in a good location - ... Read more

We booked Executive Room for 5 nights and we got very small room with a small windows to the interior of the hotel. Hotel staff admitted that we got it because we booked through Booing.Com. The day after when they realized that we won't give up they moved us to a bit better room BUT noisy and with a tiny bathroom we decided to give up!!!!!!!

My husband and I traveled to Europe for our honeymoon and Barcelona was our first stop. After research on several options, I booked the Renaissance Barcelona for its central location, good reviews and affordable rates. We had a queen bed room with the "corner" view. Our room overlooked the bustling street corner, Spanish architecture and tree-lined neighborhood. The room had plenty of storage for our almost week-long stay, plus a nice seating area. We stayed 5 nights on the 10th floor. We have little experience with travel in Europe and are somewhat aware of the differences. We understand that by local standards the rooms are a good size. For us, the main area felt cramped the trend toward sleek and modern results in less storage space. We had a total of two drawers for clothing. This is not an issue if the stay is less than two nights, but it was a distinct inconvenience for us. The beds are comfortable and the amenities provided o... Read more

As one whom travels a lot, this hotel is very clean and its staff is very helpful. A lot of cruise travelers stay here before and after their cruises. The roof top bar off the 8th floor is a nice place to relax from a long day of site seeing to have a cocktail. There are a lot of attractions, restaurants and shops within walking distance.

Unfortunately the rating of this hotel comes from it's false advertisement. It's advertised as having a rooftop pool and bar. The pool on the roof is little more that a wall fountain with a peddling pool beneath it, deep enough for you to put your feet in. That's silly. Also, the rooms are incredibly small.
