This was our first time at the hotel and we were suprised. A very nice option to stay in Barcelona. Room was spacious and clean, bed comfy, the view of the city nice.We booked the THE LEVEL Service which was awesome and well worth the money, the staff there was knowledgeable and so patient with our son, we apreciate that a lot ! He loved the amenities.

The hotel itself was clean and had a great lobby, cafe and accommodations. The room was not as small as I had anticipated for a European hotel. The bathroom in fact, was a very good size. This area around the hotel had great restaurants and shopping in walking distance. I felt very safe in this area and surrounding area. And, the hotel was just a 10-20 min cab ride to nearby tourist attractions. The front desk staff was fine...not over the top friendly but good. The concierge was eager t... Read more

Nice place to stay. Nice location. friendly staff. very good location (but not excellent). I would definitely go back... but only if I can get a very good deal. a bit too expensive for what they offer. There are services in the hotel that are not quite 5-star material... like the maintenance in the rooms (one window, lower than waist level, on the 21 st floor was fully opening!! Oh My God...) and the TV Offers (no movies on demand, only channels in English were news channels! the other languages... Read more

We were booked by the cruise line for 3 nights in Barcelona at the end of our cruise. On arriving at the hotel, the cruise representative told us it would be 1 to 2 hours before we had our rooms. Rather than sitting we left our extra hand luggage and started walking the area, looked for the nearest metro and stopped for a coffee and pastry. We arrived back at the Melia about 1 3/4 hours later and were told our room was just being cleaned, we waited. Over the next almost 2 hours we waited and wer... Read more

Excellent stay. Room was ready on early arrival. Bathroom refreshed daily. Location is close to metro with convenient access despite being a bit off the main tourist draws. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Staff was awesome in a very non obtrusive way. Restaurant staff in particular were run off their feet by a tour group but were still smiling despite the chaos. Extra acknowledgement for them!

We upgraded to executive level and as a result were put in a suite which was spacious and comfortable. Pillows were not great and no pillow menu! Bed wad firm but a huge King. Amenities were very nice. Executive level is good but drinks and food are quite reasonably priced in Barcelona so hard to say if it is worth the extra money to upgrade to executive level. Hotel is fairly well located but you do need to cab to most places - taxis are also reasonably priced in Barcelona.

Melia Barcelona Sarria is a pretty decent hotel with basic amenities and conveince for shopping around the vicinity - Supermarket, retail shopping are available in Lilla Mall about 10mins walk away and there's a convenice store just along the street. Room is really just ok for a 5 star hotel. We expected better. However if you're planning to go around Barcelona. It will be recommended to take the taxi since they are pretty reasonably priced because we bought the 10 trip metro ticket and end up ... Read more

We also had access to the LEVEL lounge and found the "snacks" and drinks that were out all day and evening, to be very nice. What was exceptional about the LEVEL however, was the service. Stopped here for 6 nights while working in Barcelona. Rooms are a good size and the shower was heaven after a hard day at work. Bar is well stocked and the restaurant was very good for a hotel, ate here 3 nights and all the meals were very good, would possibly book a hotel nearer the beach if I was going to Barcelona on holiday but I wouldn't discount stopping here again.

Besides the out of this world room, both my better half and I will continue to rave about the breakfast that the hotel serves (comes with the room). There simply is not a breakfast I've had ANYWHERE (even in 5 star hotels) that holds a candle to the breakfast here, and the service is 5 star! All I can say is WOW! The bathroom was very dirty ,and the room was covered by the lovely hand marks of a toddler that might have stayed there previously I did complain to the front desk but was only met by contempt. the room was apparently cleaned again but there was no difference what so ever. To top it all , our room was by the lift , o... Read more

We stayed at the hotel between 18th and 22nd August 2016. 2 points were unacceptable for a supposed 5 star Melia Hotel. The hotel charges guests for access to the swimming pool and spa. This isn't declared at the point of booking. Secondly, the air conditioning was broken for 24 hours in exceptional heat without any apology or general announcement to the guests.

I stayed there in November 2015 for a business conference which was held in the very same hotel. The rooms are average and a bit old, however they were very clean. Coffee over there wasn't really very well, but Starbucks is a walking distance from the hotel (One block away).

Barcelona has many rather expensive luxury boutique hotels but a stay at The Level at the Melia Sarria offers a more complete experience since it is within a very large hotel and yet has the services and intimacy of a small one It is quite normal for hotels to send pre-arrival greeting emails with information on the hotel. I was struck that this hotel actually asked for a reply so they knew what type of bed I wanted and my approximate time of arrival. They confirmed receipt of my email almost i... Read more

Arrived 10am. Told checkin was 3pm, but room could be ready from 12-1. Went out to explore area, arrived back to hotel at 1 to watch a group of 40+ check-in to their rooms early. Told room still not available, so decided to have a few drinks and food at hotel bar until 3pm. At 3pm, tried to check-in again, but told room wasn't available until 4pm. Advised by manager that they would refund monies spent at bar the last few hours, but never happened (I assume after she realised it was more than one... Read more

My partner and I stayed at the hotel for four nights from Friday 26th August until Tuesday 30th and it was an amazing trip. We opted for the level experience and it did not disappoint. Hugo was excellent in the mornings with helping us to settle in and recommending places to visit and great places to eat. In the evening Mirlos customer service was excellent and nothing was too much for him. My partner can not eat anything with gluten in and he was very helpful in sourcing her food. The breakfast... We enjoyed our short stay in the Melia Sarria. The staff was very attentive and friendly and provided us with helpful information regarding restaurants, tours, and sights for our second visit to Barcelona. Our room was spacious, extremely clean and well appointed. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous.

Hotel looks nice. The staff are nice and helpful. The maids are fantastic!! Didn't experience the hotel fully due to not upgrading to "The Level" which was an extra 90â?¬ per night. I didn't accommodate this within my travelling budget, which was a huge shame because I was celebrating my mums 60th. She has vertigo and could be placed on an upper floor anyway. We were on the second. One dressing gown in the room even though there were two guests (not that it got used anyway.) Could work the ma... Read more

This is a very comfortable hotel for the business traveler. I strongly encourage US business travelers to stay this Melia hotel, it delivers on all points that your usual US hotel chains - but with more sophistication.

Everything is awesome. Great location. The room, the view, the front desk. The front desk was very helpful and the view from our room was spectacular. But a waiter at the breakfast place ruined my stay at Melia. He kept ignoring our table. I don't know if it is because we are Asians. I asked him five times to refill my coffee and he skipped us all the time. Instead, he refilled other tables four times (just not our table) and finally I went directly to him and asked him to refill our coffee. And... Read more

We have saved at hotels throughout the world and regard this as one of the ten best. The staff - with people like Mr. Ayuda and Ms. Pacheco, are extremely friendly. They spent a good deal of time helping suggest restaurants and then making reservations. They explained the value of the "hop on/hop off bus system" and then gave us discount coupons to reduce the price. This is a super responsive staff. Six stars for them on what's normally a 5 point scale. We had a city view room - please see ... Read more

I loved the five lovely days and nights that we stayed at Melia Sarria. The room was nice and spacious and the bed very comfortable. The hotel had a small Gym, a very good wifi and a lovely Level Lounge. The staff was helpful and friendly and especially Milos in Level and Renata at the breakfast made our stay special. The location was actually better than we thought. We had all the best shopping close by at Diagonal. We had the night life within walking distance (20minutes) and we had a dir... Read more

Fast and easy check in/out. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Wifi included and it always worked. 2 blocks from the TRAM, and about 10 minutes walk to Hospital Clinic station. You can also walked to Sants station. There are a few bakeries, restaurants and supermarkets close by. If you are going to Parc Guell, there is a bus 2 blocks away that leaves you right in front of the escalator that takes you the Parc Guell, the ride takes about 20 minutes (waaaay better than taking the metro, trust m... If staying in Barcelona, the Sarria is a great place to be! Great service, delicious food, nice room, clean and close to a lot of things. Much better stay here than in the Macarena in Sevilla. The Level service was an added bonus. The gentlemen were helpful and pleasant.

My partner and I have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Melia and cannot fault it in anyway Polite, friendly, efficient staff. Beautiful room and amazing bathroom. We stayed in a standard room as didn't see the need to upgrade to The Level as wasn't planning on spending too much time in the hotel but if the standard rooms are anything to go by then I'm sure the upgraded rooms are gorgeous! Our room was at the front of the building so there was some noise from the main road so if you're a ... Read more
