4 star service for a 2 star hotel. 15 min walk from Metro station. Rental bicycles available in the lobby. Tiny room but very clean. Excellent breakfast. Air conditioning/heater turned on or off by hotel. Neither could be turned on. Hotel explained that winter was over (so no heating) and summer had not arrived (so no a/c)!

Having stayed in many Ibis Hotels I knew what to expect from the room: not big, no frills but nice and clean, comfortable bed, good shower, fast free Wifi. Good value for Barcelona. Standard breakfast (cereal, cold meats and cheese, bread, fruit, yoghurt, tortilla). There was even a small gym with 2 treadmills and some weights! Perfect if you are going to be out all day and just need somewhere clean, comfortable and safe to sleep. Quiet neighbourhood which felt pretty safe when i was walkin... Read more

You need to know where this hotel is - it sort of disappears into its anonymous surroundings! Room and bathroom as usual Ibis in newish condition, clean with good bed. Hotel generally fine - seems quiet - probably being off the tourist areas. Wifi good in room and in lobby. Staff all polite, efficient, friendly and keen to help. Rented a bike here (‚?¨15 per day) which was convenient - ask at reception. Buses to Catalunya and Parc Guell nearby. Metro yellow line (Llacuna) 5 minutes stroll and re... Read more

The hotel is clean, there is free internet but even though the resident of Barcelona were still wearing winter jackets the heat had been turned off. We stayed at the Ibis for 5 nights and anytime we asked for anything (like a second chair) it was met by the same response - sorry we don't have that.

I stayed there for a Congress. It is a good location, close to Glories station (easy transport from the airport, shopping center). There is also a choice of various restaurants on Poble Nou Ramblas, very close. Very close to Llacuna metro and the Congress Hall at Maresme /Forum station and a short ride to the centre. Clean and quiet hotel. Free WiFi that worked well. Beds and bathroom are great, breakfast really nice. Central AC worked fine - room was cool and the window could also open. Howev... Read more

This is a two-star hotel and should be judged as such. The rooms are clean with comfortable beds and devoid of luxury. The hotel is basic and cheap and in walking distance from the city centrum. But there are few annoying things that have to be mentioned. There are no security boxes in the rooms. However, the hotel offers security boxes at the reception. When I asked for a box they told me that they had only 15 boxes and the group I was traveling with would be issued one box. Well, I was in a gr... Read more

Ibis Pza Glories is a nice hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. The hotel is about 1.2 Kms from Glories station on L3 red line and about 700 meters from yellow line. If one is coming with heavy bags then better to come from Llacuna station. The hotel is located in a not very good area but the area is safe. Carrefour and Glories mall are at walking distance and options of shopping are good there. The checking was smooth and staff at reception were helpful. A guy Carlos at reception was very h... Nice hotel, very friendly staff and kindly. The area where is located it is only 5 streets from the Glories Metro stop but at night it doesn't feel a 100% safety zone although is getting better with the renovating and new buidings that are there.

As we spend all day visiting the sightseeings, we just want a clean and quiet room to take a bath and sleep. So, we had a great time at this hotel. We got hot water whenever we wanted. Though we're lightsleepers, there was nothing that disturbed our sleep, no noise at all. The stuff was friendly.

Ibis hotels don't claim to be 5 star but they are clean and modern , the rooms have everything you would expect at the price and to be honest for a city centre hotel I don't know how they do it at the price . Good for sightseeing and good for the ferry port all in all a bargain methinks .

Great hotel! Extremely clean moderate hotel within 2 blocks of the tram. Wonderful breakfast buffet and there is a great lobby with a bar. If you don't want to stay on La Rambla, this is a good, safe choice. The beds were very comfortable and room service is available. Small but very nice bathrooms that also have tubs!

We found it easy to get to the hotel by subway from the train station. The hotel felt busy but our room was quiet. We were given a great recommendation to a restaurant down the road that was so good we went back a second time. We were able to find a laundry a few blocks away, and were able to walk to the cathedral. The hop on hop off bus was not too far away. A moderate length walk to the beach too,

Ibis hotels are known for their low prices, but relatively great service (for its price). This Ibis has lovely staff at the front desk, the location is great (one hour by public transport from BCN, which is convenient), the rooms are big, and the hotel is close to the Glories shopping mall. I would highly recommend this Ibis.

Had to find a hotel rather last minute. There was a room available at Ibis for a fair price. Staff was friendly, great beds and nice bar. Breakfast was only ‚?¨ 7,50, but was very sufficient. Near Rambla de Poblenou where you can find bars and restaurants. Will return to this hotel.

Once inside the building everything was excellent, particularly the staff. We had a problem with the room TV which was fixed within minutes of it being reported. We are not used to the city environment of the hotel's location, however, it was convenient for public transport and the seafront. The only thing which we found slightly " stress full" was the restricted parking which was difficult to access with the large 4x4 we drive. What about turning the adjacent gated vacant plot into a secure o... Read more

I decided to stay at IBIS because of the "closeness" to the beach. It was decently near, just a 20 minute walk, in what I would call a desert town on the weekend. This is the only reason to stay at IBIS. As for the hotel itself, my room's AC wasn't working despite the many complaints to staff, it went unresolved. My partner and I were only there for 2 nights, so I didn't care to send a formal complaint to the Hotel. The hotel is not alive, the barkeep was never at the bar, the staff seems to ... Read more

The location of this Ibis is very good, a few blocks form the subway and near the smaller Rambla where you find nicer and cheaper restaurants! An excellent quality/price relation. The hotel staff is very welcoming and available to help you solve any problem. The bar has a 24 hour service where you can always find something to eat as well, very handy!

Really easy to find, just 5 mins from Llacuna Metro or Glories Tram stop, not much around the hotel to do but with easy Metro links that was no trouble. Having stayed in Ibis hotels before, was not disappointed. Beds really comfy and had a good nights sleep. Cannot comment on the breakfast as we ate out. Would stay here again

The Ibis Plaza Glories is a good value hotel, about a 5 minute walk from the start of La Rambla Poblenou and 10 minute walk from Barcelona beach. It's also about a 10 minute walk to the Gothic Quarter. The rooms were good with air con and restaurant facilities downstairs. There doesn't seem to be too much happening in the immediate area around the hotel so it's a short walk to the action in any direction.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Price for our stay was fantastic. Very clean rooms only downside was no fridge in the room, the hotel was bed with optional continental breakfast, we visited when it was very hot so had to go down to the bar for drinks. Saying that the bar turned out to be cheaper than local restaurants! Great location if your visiting the famous Barcelona stadium, only 10 minutes in the taxi and only £15 for 3 people. Much cheaper than the local transport

Rooms were spacious enough and clean, though we had a view of a building site, beds were very soft and comfy, breakfast was very good if a little unexciting, location is good if you're prepared to use public transport, taxis or walk on foot. We walked to Last Sagrada Familia which took half an hour, and then walked to Park Guell which tool another 45 minutes. The hotel is also a twenty minute walk from the beach, and probably about a 1.5 hour walk to the main centre around the Gothic Quarter. Gr... Read more
