We were a group of female friends in Barcelona for a City Break, the Zenit Hotel was ideal for our needs. It's about a 20 minute walk to the Main Street where there are all the shops you need from fast food to designer. The hotel had everything we needed, shower gel, soap, shower cap even a toothbrush and paste. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the reception staff were very helpful. There is a safe in the room. There is a restaurant at the hotel although we didn't eat there. There is a h... Read more

Although the room feels pretty tight, it has some modern touch and is kept clean. The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood not far from the main commercial street Av Diagonal, however, I would recommend you to chose Zenit Borrell if you prefer a much closer location to metro and good local restaurants.

Located about 30 minutes walk away from the city centre proper, it's not the best placed hotel to stay in. However if you buy the Touristic Bus ticket for a couple of days, their stop is only 5 minutes walk away and you can use it as a service to get to La Ramblas or other areas of the city. If you need a taxi back from the city centre, depending on where you are it's between 8-13 euro. The rooms themselves are very small. The bed was cheap and lumpy and rolled around the floor at times. We just checked in 1 hour ago and traveled from Canada. We were just told at the front desk that we were going to be charged an extra 21 euro per person just for one night stay. There was no warning about this on the website. This is false pricing on the website so beware.

The room was small and a little tired. Not a brilliant breakfast, poor choice of fresh fruit and only a single coffee machine so often had to wait. Quite a long walk into the centre but taxis are not expensive however hotel in a nice area.

We stayed for three nights. The location is quite a walk from places but we managed to walk everywhere (tired at end of day!), except when leaving for airport bus. Reception staff very helpful and friendly. We stayed in a larger room than the standard ones but they're essentially the same. Our shower was broken but we reported it and it was fixed the next morning. Towels are provided as are shower gels, etc. There is a fridge in the room so you can use that for putting in any food you have, we k... Read more

Really enjoyed our stay at the Zenit Hotel. The location was perfect, the staff were very helpful with directions and the wifi was excellent. The housekeeping was amazing and it's in a really nice area. The hotel is located in a quite area but well placed and it's really close to public transport.

Great service, beautiful and calm rooms, nice bathroom, tidy and clean. The bed was long enough (not usual in Spain). The ideal base to explore the city. Close to Diagonal with a busstop nearby and also possibilities to have a breakfast on the way.

The hotel itself is in a decent area just off avenue diagonal, which makes it much easier to find than some of the tourist attractions, and easy to find coming back from tourist attractions. From our hotel we managed to get to about 15 of the main sights in a weeks stay, including a day at the beach. Would definitely recommend upgrading the room for a private balcony though, as the room we had on the first night was a bit small. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful, were willing to check us in e... Read more

This is a fairly typical Zenit hotel. The room and bathroom are fine, clean and comfortable. Staff amiable and helpful. The WiFi seems to work without needless access complications. Location is conveniently central with a good selection of bars, restaurants, nightclubs in Tuset, adult entertainment etc. Parking is a little complicated - the hotel has no garage. I was directed up the road to Parking Las Américas which offers hotel guests a discount. Unfortunately it was closed for the nig... Read more

We stayed here Sun-Sat and decided to pay extra for a room with a roof terrace. We were in room 704 - just in case you wanted to know! The room was great - spacious, excellent air con, nice bathroom, mini fridge; great for chilling cheap beer from the supermarket opposite! The roof terrace was really big too with a decent view! Lovely collection of complimentary toiletries too! People have moaned about the location being too far from the very centre of Barcelona. This is rubbish! We walked into... Read more

Really fantastic hotel, excellent customer service and in really great location to get to other places. About 10-15 minute walk to Gracia metro station but from there it's no more than 20 minutes to get anywhere else in the city! We were able to leave our bags after checking out as our flight was late in the day, couldn't have asked for more!

I really liked this hotel. We upgraded from the basic double to a standard double for 7 euro a night, and our room (710) was very nice. Not huge but comfortably sized. Very nice bathroom, big wardrobe, decent TV, and air con. The bed was very comfy. The room was very quiet, we couldn't hear any exterior noise at all. The staff were very helpful and nice and spoke English. Just opposite there was also a little supermarket and a nice coffee shop for breakfast. I also liked that we were close enoug... Read more

We stayed here as two couples for a three night break mid July 2016. Great location close to the Avinguda Diagonal which is one of the main shopping streets in the city. The hotel is located about a five minute walk from the street but it set back on a quieter side street, close to lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. Also close to the bus turistic stops if you are looking for an easy and cheap way to travel around the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they gave us a map and pointe... Read more

A very good European hotel that looks more expensive than it is. All amenities were new, the rooms were clean, service was friendly and professional. We were 2 adults and 2 teens requiring 2 rooms, and all were satisfied. It was fairly full but we saw perhaps 2 other guests while we were there. We didn't use any facilities there (who goes to Barcelona to use hotel features anyway?). Good neighbourhood, easy walking to Diagonal and good restaurants and cafes. We visited this hotel for a week, staff were very welcoming and helpful, the room was lovely and had great air conditioning! We asked for a kettle on the second day and the staff on reception didn't hesitate to give us one. The location is perfect if you don't want to be right in the city centre but we were close enough to walk in (about 40 min but a taxi to Las Rambles costs less than ?10). The views from our top floor balcony at sunset were amazing !! We definitely plan on coming back next y... Read more

Not a great location, a little further our than I would have liked, but we did walk up to the Rambles at night. Good enough breakfast. Clean and Tidy room with a little fridge and mini bar, we never used the bar so unfortunately I don't know the prices but instead we brought in our own beers when we needed. There is a night club facing the hotel which on our check out morning when we were leaving the hotel at around 7.30 am it looked like the night club was getting out. Thirty minute taxi ride... Had high hopes based on pictures and prior reviews. Was underwhelmed though with size of room plus aged decor and tiny bathroom. Very few amenities as well. Not a massive deal as spent only sleeping hours there. No complaints about location - those who complained about distance from centre need to learn use of maps!

We stayed for 5 nights, Standard room was big enough and comfortable very clean. The location was great for us that enjoyed to walk around but also the bus service to the city center was quite convenient, only 20 minutes long. People at the reception really friendlg eager to accommodate any request. Totally recommend.

The hotel was in great location, walking short distance from main high streets and downtown which is a major advantage. Problem was that the room was too small to accommodate a couple (for a standard double room)

A very modern and clean hotel but a little disappointing. I read a number of reviews on here before settling for the Zenit, however I found it be no where near, or close to attractions. Its about 2 - 3 miles out of the city. Quiet hotel for sleeping, but we had to take taxis everywhere to attractions, even to the open top buses which we had booked online before leaving the UK. The Turistic open top bus was a 10 minute walk away, but not the Barcelona red open top buses that we had booked. ... Read more

We booked to stay at the Zenit Barcelona after reading the reviews for plenty of other hotels. The only thing that I was apprehensive about were comments about how far it was from the main attractions and sites but it turned out to be absolutely fine. We arrived at the hotel on a Sunday afternoon and was greeted by a friendly and polite member of staff (forgive me if I get this wrong but I believe his name was Spino) who promptly checked us in. As well as this he took his time to provide us wi... Read more

Up to 40 minutes of walking distance to all Barcelona's attractions this makes the hotel very good place to stay. Friendly staff is very helpful and willing to answer any of questions. There are two lifts or stairs which can get you to room. We had a basic double room which was a bit smaller than expected. Not much room to move around, but it was not a big issue as we wanted to spend most of the time out in the streets of amazing Barcelona. Three things I was missing in my room are kettle (Octob...
