This hotel was lovely, the front desk staff were very helpful, they even suggested the best restaurants to visit in Barcelona. The hotel was modern and clean. The view from our room was unfortunately not great but we didn't spend much time at the hotel as we only went for a few days. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the airport and near to the main shops and rift next to a metro station.

just returned from a week in the via Augusta and enjoyed most things about our stay with one exception which,as I note the manager seems to reply personally to these reviews I will be interested to hear his reply. We had room 703, the staff were very helpful & the maid service kept the room really tidy-the room itself had a wardrobe, safe, dresser, chair, air-con,full length mirror, king sized comfy bed,TV,phone,a balcony (but with a awful view)and a en-suite.This is where my exception lies, the s... We always book mid range hotels to get a reasonable standard but not pay for things we are never going to use on a city break (e.g. pools, spas, gyms etc.). The Via Augusta ticked most of the boxes for what we wanted. It was in an accessible location to the north of the city centre where most of the key tourist attractions are located. It did not take too long to walk to the very centre (say 20 mins) where we mostly gravitated in the evenings for eats and then had a good stroll back to the hot... Read more

The room are spacious and very comfortable, well kept and good service. Staff is very very helpful. walking distance to hop on hop off point. There is a shuttle service by other company available from the hotel to the airport, it cost ???18 for two people, or by taxi it cost ???40 walking distance to the train station. I highly recommend this hotel if u want to stay in Barcelona.

the overall room was fine, however, being formula 1 weekend, it was rather pricey given what facilities in the room (no minibar, basic desk and chair, rather hard mattress) location is ok, nearby fontana green line station a 3 minute walk, and a bus (24) returning from Park Guelle stops close to the Hotel. front desk was helpful too.

Recently stayed here for 3 nights and throughly enjoyed it, our room was on the 8th floor with a large balcony (the bacony was extra but worth it in my opinion due to the city view). The room was nice, clean and for a 2 star hotel quite spacious. Breakfast an extra 9 euro each and was ok, a good selection but Im sure we could have found something slightly better for less if we ventured out not far from the hotel. All the staff were very helpfull, someone was sent to my room to show me how to use... Read more

We were booked into the apartments for the following two nights and thought that reception would make a priority of us in allowing us to check into the first available apartment but they kept us waiting all day - we finally went out and they said they would phone is when the apt was ready but they didn't bother and when we returned later the guy who said this was gone home!! We wasted a day hanging around waiting for the apartment. Lacking in customer service for sure but otherwise good

We stayed with our 3 years old son in this hotel in the second week of June for 8 days. Hotel is in a very central place, not in the middle of the crowd but very near to the touristic areas. For these prices I definitely recommend this place especially for the prices# hospitality and location. Just a tip to the hotel management: Very clean rooms but please clean up the curtains at least ones a month, it looks very dirty.

Room was comfortable and large. It was clean with nice bathrooms. Location is also close to the town centre. There is a underground stop just downstairs and you can just walk into the centre of town in 30mins. Lots of shops all around anyways if needed.

This hotel is located in a great neighbourhood, with plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and stores in close walking distance. There is also a small market near if you like to shop for food. Subway station is right around the corner which leads directly to Plaça Catalunya. The restaurant opens at 7:30 am which is convenient as most places won't open until very late (or not at all) on week-ends or holidays. The buffet offers a decent selection of food, including eggs, cured meat, salad, bakery, ... Read more

The hotel is nice and pleasant. Breakfast is ok. People at the reception is helpful and speaks quite good English. However, you can hear the conversations in the next room. It troubled me a lot. I had to call the reception. But I was told that no one else was there except the receptionist and he could not leave the reception. Later he managed to solve my problem. The location is also very convenient. I might stay there again.

I stayed here for 5 nights in late June/early July, 2016, a business trip. It's a good find and represents good value. A few blocks from the Metro (Fontana station, L3 line) in what appears to be a safe neighborhood, it's convenient to access the city (the Barcelona public transport system is excellent and easy to navigate.) Rooms are small, but clean, well appointed, fairly quiet (some noise from corridors possible, but no appreciable street noise), with a self-operated safe and an efficient... Read more

Very kind and accomodating staff, nice local hotel, walking distance to many Barcelona attractions. As we only stayed one night, it is difficult to describe anything else, but it's a fine hotel, you get what you pay for.

Small but clean room, helpful staff although it took 20 minutes to check in due to low staffing. Good location - not far from a metro stop and near a main road for taxis. Mostly a shopping district - you will need to get the metro for restaurants and bars.

I stayed one week to this hotel. Although a 2 star hotel the price I paid was for 4 stars (more than 150 euro/night). However they sent me to one of their low cost rooms which they offer via internet from 70-80 euros. I had to insist a lot before they give me the room I paid for. Rooms are poor and small and the service typical. The only advantage of this hotel is that its just opposite FGS station in case you have to use this train. I do not really recommend it

This hotel was nice, modern and clean. We stayed in a family too which was a nice size and accommodated the three of us. The only thing which would have been nice were amenities such as read and coffees in the room, but really this was no biggie! The staff were friendly and pleasant. Location was good, close to a metro and short ride to central.

This hotel is well located (just two stops on the underground from Placa De Catalunya and very close to the station) clean, comfortable and has friendly helpful staff. This is an ideal hotel if, like us, you are up and out most of the time. There's no need to go into back into town for food and bars as just five minutes walk away is the Plaza Del Sol which is ideal if you prefer more authentic, less touristy places to eat and drink. I would definitely stay here again.

We stay there for 3 nights. However we booked room in Via Augusta with breakfast included. When we went there we understood that the breakfast is not included. Price is for 4* hotel. When we asked on reception they sad they can not do anything and we need to ask their agent why this happened and if we want have breakfast we need to pay extra. We sent request to them, but they didn't answer at all! However our room was very good cleaned during our stay!!!

We didn't book a room at the hotel, but a nearby flat which was managed by the hotel and offered via AirBnB. The flat was for 4 people and was nice looking and beautifully furnished. The bathroom was nice (and included towels and toiletries), there was aircon, dark in the bedrooms in the morning and a swimming pool (which we didn't use). The beds are short though. The location in Gracia is excellent if you want to stay away from the touristy parts, and it is still easy to get to the famous si... Read more

The reception staff were exceedingly helpful and friendly. Lending a phone charger, providing paper for my daughter to draw on, providing information on Swimming pools. The breakfast staff were friendly and obliging as well. The small roof terrace was a great spot for a picnic in the evening along with a bottle of wine. My daughter (aged 12) said that she preferred the hotel and the friendly staff to the £220 a night Grand Central Hotel in Barcelona! Air conditioning worked well in the roo... Read more

If you are looking for a fancy lobby this hotel is not for you. But if you appreciate a clean room with fast internet, nice shower and friendly staff at a good location this hotel offers great value for money. Rooms are small but renovated to a nice standard, breakfast offered a reasonable choise. It is only a 2 star hotel but I would rate it more like a 3 star. It has everything you realy need for a short stay, and at a very reasonable price.
