Hotel location was perfect, within walking distance to lots of places. Great range of restaurants and cafes near by. Rooms were clean and modern, nice little balcony too which looked over the street. Would return to this hotel and would recommend to others, only slight negative on hotel website it states you will receive a welcome gift, which we did not, although the we should of mentioned it to the staff. Overall great stay.

Please find below our detailed comments on Suizo hotel after staying there for 6 nights. 1. Rooms: Extremely small and newly decorated with materials of bad quality (mostly plastic) that smell awful. You can hardly breathe in the room after being there for a couple of hours. No chance to stay with the windows open, due to the street noise and the awful smell of the neighborhood. 2. Cleanliness: Although we asked them twice to make our rooms, they didnÔ??t change our sheets (in a total stay of ... Read more

Awful odor in the room out of bathroom and furniture. When we asked to fix it, they offered us a room on the 5th floor. Room was without window at all only hole in the roof, very claustrophobic! We refused and after long and emotionally dispute got decent room. Wifi worked permanently. One good thing about hotel - located just great.

Lass than a km from Ramblas. With many attractions close by like the gothic quarter, Picasso museum, music plaza and the barceloneta beach. Just in front of the hotel is metro Jaume 1 which connects you to the entire city in some way. Fantastic eating places around like 365 where you can have breakfast because the hotel does not have breakfast. Tapa places etc., close by. The bakery next door is excellent. Ask for a bigger room on a higher floor though because the rooms are really small.

We had a great time at this hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The room was small and you could not get two people in the bathroom at the same time. There was only one mirror in the bathroom and none in the bedroom. You had to pay a nominal 2euro per day for the safe in your room and breakfast was served in their sister hotel across the road. The general areas of the hotel were being upgraded whilst we were there but all in all it was in a very central location for all your needs. Best ... Read more

Lovely helpful reception staff, clean good sized rooms with good sized bathrooms. French doors in the bathroom and bedroom made the room very light. Brilliant air conditioning. Centrally located in the gothic quarter which made things very easy. Double glazing wasn't very soundproof but it wasn't over noisy just a general noise.

What a nice hotel. It is central for everything, right in the middle of the Gothic area. Yes it can be noisy with the windows open, but once shut you cannot hear anything. The metro is right outside the hotel, which was great as although we walked a lot some place where just too far. I would definitely stay again, rooms modern and very clean.

Hotel Suizo is a very nice hotel that is steps from the Gothic cathedral and the government buildings. The Museum of Barcelona is next door with Roman ruins in the basement. We had a room for three which was actually two rooms in a suite. When we walked in the door we walked through the first bedroom with one twin bed and a TV, down the hall with a closet and into a large room with a king bed and another closet. It overlooked the street but most of the noise was muffled and we each had a bal... Read more

Staff great. Good location. Close to Museum of Picasso and cathedral. Las Ramblas and La Boqueria 10 min walk if that much. No fridge in our room which wasn't good. We had a triple and each space was semi private- Went with my two young-adult children so that was nice.

Do not book this hotel. A group of us booked here for a special occasion because it was newly refurbished however we were instantly relocated to the sister hotel up the road - apparently it was an upgrade due to it being an extra star....absolute rubbish. Hotel Gotico which is where we located to is old and not a 4* by any standards. Tantamount to fraud - sell you the nice gleaming shiny refurbished hotel and then farm you off to the pits round the corner. Book at your peril.

Wonderful hotel, so close to all the main sights and sounds of the city. Refurbed rooms are great, with large showers. We were on the top floor which controlled dorma windows with electric blinds. Breakfast is served across the road at sister hotel, plenty of choice. I chose this hotel as took was travelling with my 81 year old Dad, it was so perfect being close to Ramblas and plenty of places to eat and drink close by. I would highly recommend.

They give you a clean room in a very perfect place in Barcelona but nothing else. They may even ask you to climb 5 stories because the elevator is not working or ask to charge you for the keys to the safe deposit. If you're only looking for location and cleanliness and not more, this is the best place to stay.

This hotel is situated at an excellent location- just at a stone's throw distance from the famous Gothic Quarters. It is located right above rhe metro line Jaume I.
