Outside the city centre but very close to the beach. Easy to reach by metro, bus, tram and tourist bus. The Diaganol Mar opposite is home to a wealth of shops and eateries. Allow 30 minutes from airport to city centre, and 30 minutes on the local bus up to the top of the Diaganol Mar. Our second visit to this hotel and still one of my favourite places to stay when in Barcelona. Bar prices are not too steep and their cocktails are very good. Ventured on a mini bank holiday break to Barcelona with a friend! It was amazing! Loved every minute, the weather, views, things to see and do, beach and cuisines. We only went for three nights but it was enough and felt like a week :) The beach was nearby to this hotel as were the attractions and markets in Las Ramblas. The nightclubs by the beach were also near and had an amazing few night of drinks and dancing in opium, Catwalk, Pacha and Shoko. For me, Catwalk and Shoko were the best clubs i... Read more

Currently staying in this hotel and so far the service has been very good and people are very friendly. The rooms are clean and very spacious where you can pick mood lighting for ambience which is very different! The restaurant downstairs had some amazing food! Some of the yummiest food I have ever had at a hotel and very healthy too. The hotel itself is gorgeous and clean and the staff are only very happy to help. The hotel staff are very friendly however considering it's a 4 star it's lacking in many ways. There is a drainage problem that wafts through the aircon and is foul! No kettle in the room though we were tempted by the mugs and tea. The toiletries were an odd choice . distance wise it's a good long walk to the city which is great for a walk down tbhe beach and there are trams and buses but adjacent is a derelict half built building which just makes the area feel run down.

The hotel is in a great location, right next to bars, restaurants and a shopping centre. The city centre is a short taxi ride or take a nice walk. On arrival the staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very extensive and offer everything you could ask for. The rooms are nice, big and well equipped although as standard I think there are no coffee/tea making facilities in the rooms. I only booked this hotel as a day room as our apt required an early check out. The room was VERY well equipped for accommodations of this level. Hairdryer, iron, decent channels. I was very impressed. The location is close to beach, public transport and shopping. They don't make enough of the bar in my view and the rooftop pool was nice, but absolutely packed with not enough loungers. Simple to use Wifi too! Great value for a group though.

I was looking forward to staying in this hotel, it was expensive (‚?¨120 per night), well located (next to my conference and the beach) and with a stunning rooftop pool. But I'm afraid to say it was not the luxury experience I was expecting. Yes the roof top pool was stunning, but not heated and very small. The rooms themselves need updating and maintaining, lots of loose fittings and laminated wood coming away from the surfaces (see pictures). Overall appearance is actually quite dated. The ro... We booked a deluxe double room for our first night in Barcelona. When we arrived in our room it was a twin room and when We queried this at reception, their response was that a double room means for 2 people and not a double bed! Very bizarre especially when I had previously contacted the hotel requesting a double and also mentioning that it was the start of a special celebratory holiday. They could not change our room due to being fully booked. The room was ok and certainly not deluxe. The ... Read more

My first Spain experience. Good located hotel close to the sea. Easy to get a taxi who can bring you down town. Staf is friendly but not to smart. Complete room with a open badroom. Through a window you can look in. It could be that it stinks a bit but apparently Barcelona has a problem with waste and the sewer. The crane of the washbasin and the shower where loose but functional. Didn't took breakfast. It's a good place to stay whit the beach on walk distance.

Modern hotel just like most modern hotels, no soul and individual character. The hotel is close to the sea, beaches and shopping malls. Further away from the city center. Tram and metro few meters from the hotel makes it easy to travel. Rooms well equipped and clean. Bathrooms clean. Good breakfast buffet. Staff polite and helpful.

The hotel is located very close to the beach, there is a tram stop outside the hotel and a Metro station is 5 minutes walk. We stayed for 10 days B&B, the room was excellent and breakfast was superb, from the moment we checked in the staff were absolutely brilliant, they just wanted to help and we're so polite. I would recommend this hotel. If you're travelling from the airport it's a 30 minute journey and costs around ‚?¨40.

Stayed for one night before our cruise, was a great price, great location being 20 mins to port, lovely modern hotel, great rooms, super choice of breakfast, and easy to get into Barcelona. would use again.

I spent an amazing week there with my mum and dad. Everything has been perfect from the incredible breakfast to the stunning swimming pool on the top of the building. Up there the view it's so great. About the service and the room I have positive thoughts only, I particularly loved the modern style of the room. Surely a great experience.

Okay let's look at the positives. The location is very near to the seafront and the forum centre and also the science museum. You can take a steady stroll along the seafront to the main harbour with all of the restaurants in an hour. We did this, and the walk was very enjoyable. We got to the hotel direct from the airport via the metro by only changing train once which was easy and for the two of us ‚?¨10. We were only staying one night in this hotel before moving on. The hotel is 5 minutes from the sea, and a 2-minute walk to the Convention Centre. There is tram stop just outside the hotel. The rooms are very big and clean, staff is helpful and friendly. The food at the restaurant is delicious although we found service quite slow. The breakfast is buffet with lots of choices and everything was delicious and quality. One thing that should improve is water pressure in the shower, it was very low pressure and washing long hair took ages.

We came here for business. rooms are nice, spacious, better than expected. What really caught my eye 8or my stomach) was the breakfast!. Really good! great cold buffet with all kind of local soecialties, good eggs (for real, not one of those chemical options) then a fantastic bakery/bread/pastries buffet, great kid corner and healthy corner (gluten free, vegan, bio...) the cherry on the top was the catalan traditionals and a chocolate fondue with champagne!

Compared to 4s hotels in europe this hotel should not get this stars. I assume that this hotel exsists only due to the near distance to CCIB. The employees are very friendly, old destroyed bathrooms not slipping pad. Bad coffee.

Nice clean hotel with very good staff. We stopped in an executive room, which gave us access to the 15th floor lounge. It was nice to pop in for a gratis drink n nibbles on the way out. The room was set up more for buisiness use than leisure, with a desk taking up a lot of room space. The rooftop bar and swimming pool was very nice as was the outside bar area on the ground floor. The hotel is a long way from the centre of Barcelona, this is the only downside. If it was nearer the centre I would... Read more

Really impressed with my visit here. I arrived early morning expecting to drop case off and kill a few hours at the shopping centre nearby but I was whisked up to the executive lounge where I could help myself to the internet and drinks (including wine ) and relax on the gorgeous roof garden . Location was fine for getting into the city as it was right by the metro station and on a few occasions we got a taxi back and it didn't cost too much . The room was fantastic, the jacuzzi really was a p... Read more

Great rooms, clean, comfortable and stylish. This hotel is not in the centre but close to the sea, metro, tram and bus links, therefore it is easy to access other areas of the city from here, however this may not suit everyone. Prior to our visit we had purchase the Barcelona card which gave us access to all public transport for 4 days which made it easy for us get around. Nice outdoor bar terrace and pool. Good business hotel. Very conveniently located for the big conference centre. There are a few hotels nearby and they are all of good quality including this one. Stayed for 3 days. Nice big room. Basic toiletries provided and the breakfast was very good. I did use the gym or spa so can't comment on that aspect.

We booked an executive double room - no different to a normal double room, except we had access to the executive lounge on the 15th floor. The room was nice enough, not very large, but adequate, with a sea view. It was on the 13th floor & as well as a sea view it looked over the Blue Museum (an interesting triangular blue building from street level, but a slightly rough-looking grey eyesore from above). We had a lighting system that was operated from a touch panel, as was the air-conditioning - ... Read more

"Modern" computerized air conditioning doesn't work at all and you could freeze in the middle of the night. Changing the room doesn't help much. Smart" elevators or "smart" lighting don't work either. No connection with the room service for an hour and should have walk to the desk reception. If you want to experience what happens in a crazy future world when electronics and robots stop working for you and there's no more humans to help - go there. Otherwise this is a place to avoid in Barcelona!

I stayed at Diagonal Zero while attending a conference. My first impression was positive - reception is nice and the staff were friendly. When I first got to the room it looked ok, but as my stay progressed I noticed how dated the room was and how it needs modernising. Firstly the lights and heating is controlled by a touch panel, but the touch panel is very temperamental and not at all like using a smart phone or tablet. It was very frustrating to use and made it difficult to make minor adjus... Read more

I stayed here over the weekend during a weekend to Barcelona for my boyfriends 30th birthday. I had emailed the hotel before our arrival requesting some items for his bday. Unfortunately the cake was delivered the day before his bday b mistake. Although I was disappointed that the surprise was ruined, at least they were kind enough to honour my request in the 1st place. We stayed in an executive level room which gave us access to the 15th lounge and spa. The 15th lounge was great - although we h... Read more

Well located, but still 40 minutes walking from the center. Don't get fooled by the the Seaview promise ..it is far away and not too romantic because of the construction all around. We took this hotel mainly for the pool and wellness. They could mentioned the pool being small and almost below celcius. We took 1 dive anyway, since we also swim in the North Sea in the winter and we are no pussies. But this pool temperature was like torture. The wellness is kind of dirty and smells bad, especially...
