I was really impressed about the location, service and everything. The only thing i have to complain about is the breakfast: at the reception desk, they tell you that you can have breakfast from x to y hours, which is a bit different than what those from the kitchen know. So, it is not open until 11, but until 10. And another thing which is now funny but wasn't back then, is the fact that you can get stuck on the balcony and can no longer open the doors to get back in the room. All in all, i w... Read more

This hotel was recently renovated. From a traditionally designed European hotel to a youthful contemporary designed one. This is reflected in their lobby and bar/lounge area. The hotel has a great location. Very near Plaza Catalunya but far enough from the tourist pedestrian crown headed to Ramblas, Gracia, Bario Gotic and Rambla Catalunya. There is a Starbucks outlet 20 meters away but the coffee shop ( La Esquina) owned by the hotel which is located right beside it offers great coffee and all... Read more

The location is best in Barcelona because it is in the heart of the city. You have near subway stations, the famous Rambla Street and the Gotic neighbourhood. They leave you coffee or tea to prepare yourself in the room. Beds are comfortable. The plase is quiet. Staff is friendly.

This was a one night post cruise stay in Barcelona. So pleased we chose this hotel. Front desk staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough. Our room was on the front of the hotel, with a small balcony. The room was very spacious with a modern feel, had a large bathroom with bath and shower and there was wood flooring throughout. All the usuals were there including TV and safe. Even though we were on the front of the hotel over the street, the room was very quiet at night as there are... Read more

Great location - near Rambla, Metro stations, lots of food options. Much more expensive that the other 3 hotels I stayed in other cities in Spain. They are renovating some rooms. Ask for lower floors if you like the renovated rooms. I must say they responded very well when i needed to move to another room. Thanks a lot, Maureen (Front desk). Visited Sagrada Familia, Guell Park, Casa Batllo & took a trip to Montserrat from Barcelona.

The location is suburb. You can walk to almost everything and, if not, the metro is close by. My room (#215) was right behind a giant billboard so there was no view. From my balcony I could see the HVAC equipment and the balconies of the rooms below, above and next to me that had the same non-view. The bed was comfortable and the shower was updated. The free Wi-Fi was strong. The lighting was poor. I took the 2-hour walking tour the concierge mentioned. The guide and tour were great (he makes a ... Read more

Very well placed hotel for exploring Barcelona, staff are only to happy to help. Lot of noise from the street and hostel across the road if you have the balcony door or bathroom window open but cancelled out if they are closed, this isn't the hotels fault, it's a major city. Pulitzer next door is really nice and the roof terrace is amazing. The bad bit for me was every time somebody flushed the toilet from the rooms above during the night it sounded like it was going to come through the ceiling,... Read more

Our first memorable part of the hotel is riding up an elevator with urine smell. Yes, my daughter describe it as "icky". I had other words... not polite to write. Next, we get to our floor to see the stain floors (see pics) leading to the our room. The room floors, walls and bathroom were dirty (again see pics). They say a picture is worth 1000 words... i am hoping this picture save you $400 dollars in a poor hotel. The bathroom had stain ring stain in the tubs. Why stay? well unfortunately i ar... Read more

Brilliant base for a mixed group wanting a combination of shopping, sightseeing, eating, drinking and clubbing! Segway tour was a Fab decision too. Warm welcome, great rooms and surprisingly chilled bar experience (given the bar tender didn't initially seem to be happy in his work!) all It took was being nice and trying out the language, we had him warmed up in no time! Would return any time.

Extremely good location as other reviewers say to explore the city in limited time. Access from the airport and two minutes walk is bonus when tour just arrived in the new city by airport bus. Newly renovated room was spacious and modern with good bed, bathrobes, amenity, double washing basin outside bathroom was perfect for me and my daughter getting ready. Reception stuff was very helpful and their recommendations for walk to sagrada familia, framenco, and restaurants were spot on. Wifi was sp... Read more

Definitely not a 4 star property. No adapters offered to travelers... if you want one you have to buy it from the reception. Breakfast is nothing special at all. When it says COLD milk on the bottle, you get milk that is room temperature. Housekeeping just knocks once on your door and opens it!....In every hotel I've been in there is a standard protocol... knock or ring the bell 3 times!... No not here.. Every time i went out and came back my key card did not work. They removed the card from... Read more

Stayed here a few years ago, and just never got around to writing a review. I realize there could be some changes, but overall I believe the hotel was on the right track for continued success. It was modern, very clean, pleasant staff. Lobby bar was comfy, and bartender made killer sangria...at the time you could order some tapas, which was nice. We had a room a couple floors up...open up your doors to a tiny (2 foot) balcony where you could stand and watch the crowds go by. PERFECT locatio... Read more

Despite the reviews we read on TripAdvisor we decided to go to this hotel. We stayed 5 nights and it started off quite underwhelming. We received two key cards, neither worked. Went back to reception and got it reissued. One worked. Decided to get comfortable and fix the second card after dinner. Second card was fixed at the front desk but when we tried it again it didn't work. After travelling these issues are the last thing you want to deal with. The second afternoon we came back from our ad... Read more

The location was perfect for a short trip as we were able to walk on foot to most of the attractions nearby. There was a train station going to many destinations nearby the hotel. The hotel itself is located on a street and the view from the balcony was quite nice overlooking the pedestrians on the street. The room smelled very nice and the bathroom was quite spacious. However, I do think its the little thing that matters. I stayed at the hotel on my birthday which happened to fall on the 29th o... Read more

We stayed here for three days following a Mediterranean cruise. It is in a wonderful location and close to a lot of attractions. The room was freshly renovated and we had no issues with anyone or anything. The elevators were interesting to say the least, but safe and efficient. Probably a three star hotel, but I highly recommend it anyway. Also, the evening bartender is a great person and took very good care of us. If you order room service, he will be the one bringing it to you.

Stayed hear for 1 night before our cruise. Hotel was booked by Celebrity Cruise so we did not read reviews as expected it to be a 5* hotel as we have paid nearly £6000 for 5* cruise. Very disappointed key cards did not work, shower is just a hand held that you put into a holder above you head yet it's a walk in shower ? Every time someone from a different room uses there facilities it's like a water fall in our room (noise only) No sound proofing, yes it's an old hotel but to be able to hear ... Read more

Central location in the city with all nearby transportation possibilities, lots of shops and restaurants. Only some meters away from La Rambla Avenue and therefore the Gothic neighbourhood. A Starbucks around the corner and many places to have breakfast (why eat it in the hotel's restaurant and not explore outside?). Safe place as I think all Barcelona is. Comfortable rooms which are in an antique building but made new.

We stayed at the Hotel Regina for two nights before heading out of town on our cruise of the Mediterranean and thought it was a lovely spot with very helpful employees! A simple boutique hotel with a central location and wonderful customer service. The rooms were very simple, but I liked the mod feel in an old hotel. They even salvaged some of the plaster detail from the old days at the ceiling on the walls! Bathrooms were modern, we had no door on our shower but the two other rooms where fa... Read more

We arrived around 9pm via aerobus to Placa Catalunya- and the hotel was just a block away and easy to find. It wasn't until the next morning that we saw what a great location this was! Right in the center of it all! We could easily walk everywhere- even on our last night all the way from Barceloneta. The hotel was clean- the bathroom a little narrow- but was nice. Overall a very lovely stay and a reasonable price. After coming from Scandinavia it seemd like a GREAT deal :)

Hotel is located right in playa Catalunya square . Reception staff are very friendly . Good room size . His & her sinks , tea & coffee maker , safe in room and free wifi too . Breadfirst selection is not too bad but is probably not worth ‚?¨12 euro if you have to pay . Airport bus just across the square (1 minute walk) . Only 25 minutes to airport and cost ‚?¨6. Better than taking the train or metro because you have to change station for Catalunya .

This hotel is very conveniently located in Barcelona between the new and old halves of the city. While it is located close to many attractions, the street it is on is relatively quiet and our rooms on the second floor were quiet thanks to sound proof windows. The rooms are small, but this is to be expected in a major European city such as Barcelona. The staff was friendly and attentive. The breakfast was good, with a variety of options and good quality.

This hotel is located close to Placa de Catalunya which seemed extremely useful. Getting into the city I used the aerobus which stopped right outside of El corte ingles at the placa. From this stop I just had to cross the square, cross a street and walk for 1 minute to get to the hotel. I have rarely had an easier commute from an airport to the hotel ever. As well as extremely easy access to the bus, it is max 3 minutes to the start of El Rambla, the possibility to join the walking tours at the... Read more

We were at Regina for our last night in Barcelona. Wish we had stayed here longer! Great staff helped us from our cab and instantly made us feel welcome. Room was clean, beds comfortable, shower was the best on our trip. Love the full size toiletries in pump bottles - so much better than hassling with tiny bottles! Would return to Regina.
