This hotel is a gem. What a location. Just off the cathedral square! The rooms are ok. A bit tired in places. But clean and tidy. The rooms are hot - even on a cool spring day. If you open the window it's noisy, but too hot to keep it shut. Victor at reception was very helpful. Has some excellent advice on authentic tapas bars and how to make the best of your time in Barcelona. Breakfast is pretty basic but lots of it, fresh fruit, cheese, ham, scrambled egg, bacon, croissants along with ple... Read more

the loctaion is perfect beside LaRambla street, the stuff were very friendly & helpful & the breakfast was very good for a 3 starts hotel but the room was very very small that was my own concern. maybe for singles will be good option but we as a couple were not comfortabe for the size of room though it was very clean.

Nice property. Front desk tries to attend to questions and help. Room, bath, quite nice. Wish I could have stayed for breakfast - had flight at 8:30; taxi waiting as promised. Room was made ready with haste - a short wait. I like this place.

Could not have found a better location for things to see. Literally steps from the Cathedral, very near La Rambla and the main shopping areas. Because it's located on a small side street, it's quiet so sleeping is not interrupted. Rooms are "European" small, but very clean. Front desk staff were very helpful. We did not try breakfast, but there were a lot of nice restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Would definitely stay again!

Do to delays, we missed connecting flights and got into Barcelona quite late. The front desk attendant was the very nice and accommodating Juan. He was even expecting us and welcomed us so warmly! What a treat. The hotel itself is lovely and very clean. The room was spacious and spotless. Beautiful neighborhood, felt safe always. Juan recommended a late night Tapas bar just around the corner and our upsetting delays had a delightful ending thanks to the kind staff of the hotel!

As stated on its website, the hotel is an excellent location to get around in the Barre Gothic district, to Las Ramblas or other areas. We reserved two rooms. The hotel is nice and, overall, the staff was pleasant and helpful. Our room was clean and included a bed (comfortable), a desk and chair ‚?? the other room also had two nicely upholstered chairs. The hotel serves an American buffet for breakfast (additional 12,50 Euros per person) which was okay. Unfortunately the bathroom in our roo... Read more

We arrived at the Regencia Colon early, after disembarking our cruise ship. The staff was very courteous and kept our luggage until we could check into our room. They were also very helpful in suggesting how to get around the city once we lost the ticket to the very pricey hop-on, hop-off bus within a hour of purchasing the tickets. We spent two nights in this large comfortable room near the Cathedral. It was an interesting neighborhood, where we were able to walk to the Ramblas. Breakfast... Read more

Location and price....almost always a choice between the two in this once reasonably priced city. Not any more. However, this little gem just next to the cathedral manages to pull it off. They also have a very helpful and knowledgeable staff. I would stay there any time.

We had a comfortable 4 night stay in this lovely hotel with fabulous location. The room was slightly dated but quite spacious. Our room looked out into a back alley (facing another hotel) and we did on occasion hear late night revellers and garbage trucks. Although it didn't impact the quality of our stay, it's something to be aware of if you're a light sleeper. On our first night we did notice a strange smell in the room and the front desk kindly offered us an air purifier. We eventually decide... Read more

I booked this hotel well ahead and everything went smoothly. I arrived about an hour before the advertised check-in time but the room was ready for me. The room was quite large, clean and modern. There was a safe which I find important. The bathroom in my room had one light not working and so was a bit on the dark side up one end, but wasn't a major issue, otherwise all was good. I did have some noisy neighbours but there's not much one can do about that. The hotel is incredibly well located lit... Read more

This hotel was average. The bed was very uncomfortable and after a 3 night stay I left with a very sore back. The breakfast was lacking. They had an "American style" buffet but I would have preferred more traditional foods. The hotel is located right next to the Barcelona Cathedral and is easy to catch a taxi or tourist bus near by. Several taxis did get confused when trying to take us back to the hotel so I suggest just asking to go to the cathedral.

Much of the success of my one-week hotel stay was Victor at the front desk. From my late afternoon check-in to my final evening, he was there to give me all the information I needed for a splendid stay in Barcelona. He was spot-on with directions, whether it was the Parroquia de Santa Anna church for a guitar concert, the hidden internet café I needed after my phone was stolen at a sidewalk café, or the Estacio Sants train station for my one-day escape to Perpignan, France. The location was... Read more

This is a basic hotel near a central square where there is a cathedral and area where there are restaurants and stores only minutes away. It is just off the Main Street enough so that it is quiet. The rooms are clean and basic and there is A/C and ample hot water. The staff is helpful. The breakfast is good.

Although the rooms were on the small size, the bathrooms were a nice size with a terrific shower, etc. The location was the best part of this hotel as it was around the corner from the Catedral de Barcelona. You can see it from the window ( and hear the bells every 15 minutes). It is also 5-10 minutes from Placa de Catalunya, Picasso Museum, Las Ramblas, Via Laitana and many, many, many outdoor cafes and Starbucks. Noise cannot be heard from other rooms and the front desk managers, for the most ... Read more

We were at the mercy of our trip booking company (European Destinations) and they picked a very nice hotel. We were so happy with the location, just a block from the Barcelona Cathedral and the Gothic section of the city. The rooms were large and clean. The breakfast was good giving us a nice start to the day. The wifi was good and we had no problems connecting and using the internet. The front desk staff was very accommodating with info and maps. We had a slight mishap in Barcelona requiring us... Read more

The Regencia Colon Hotel is sited just opposite the Cathedral so is brilliantly located and always easy to find. Just follow the signs for the Cathedral. The staff are very helpful and our room was clean and well presented with a safe, flat screen TV, decent size comfortable bed, bathroom with bath, shower and hairdryer. On the downside, as it is so close to the Cathedral you do get the ringing of the bells on the hour every hour, even through the night. Also the noise from people outside the ho... Read more

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel for two nights on a recommendation from a friend. The hotel is beautiful and right in the middle of and close to everything. It's right next to the Cathedral and within walking distance of great shopping and several restaurants. It's also very easy to get a taxi from this location and there are stops for the double decker bus tour of the city within a couple minutes walk. The front desk staff was extremely nice and helpful with suggestions of things to do, ... Read more

We loved this hotel. The room was lovely, the bathroom was very nice, the staff were delightful. Being so close to the cathedral was fantastic! The elevators are smaller than what we have stateside but the concierge handled it ease. Outstanding restaurant downstairs as well. Just really made our stay spectacular. We will be back for sure.

Nothing at all to complain about the hotel except that our window faced a large square with a church and we would hear bells every 15min. That was not too bad as you got used to it. The worst thing was construction noise - the sister hotel in front was renovating and every day at about 9am, they would start with the jackhammers and equipment. Also, a loud garbage truck seemed to come by every morning too. I'm not a light sleeper - I've been around asia where its also very noisy, so I'm not bein... Read more

Excellent hotel with all the pros-nice rooms, v helpful staff, excellent location walking distance to pretty much everything and the metro. In the middle of las rambles, location couldn't have been better. It has decent continental breakfast.
