This is nice hotel in a good location just a short distance from La Rambla and restaurants and shops. It is close to the starting point for the hop on hop off buses and metro. The breakfast provided while not huge in variety was fresh. The bed was very comfortable and shower nice. Did not have to interact with the staff very much but when we did they were very friendly and helpful. Most spoke english.

Hotel Jazz is a very pleasant, modern hotel close to Placa Catalunya and all major metro stops. Also, the airport bus stops there. No better place to stay when you want to be in the city center! The hotel room was spacious and very comfortable. The windows, when closed, isolate the noise from the busy streets very well. Forunately there is a good airco. Wifi worked great! The only drawback for us was the price of the brakfast buffet (14 euros): we felt that was way overpriced. In addition, the p... Read more

Location is great for sightseeing (a few minutes from Plaza Catalunya) and is very convenient for the airport bus (university stop) and the metro (a minute to the station). Rooms are swish and quiet, comfortable beds. Good big windows out onto the street. Front desk staff very friendly and happy to help. I would stay here again. Breakfast was not included in our room rate, but there is a cafe under the hotel, some across the street, and churros must be eaten in Barcelona!

I stayed for 2 nights at jazz hotel in May 2016. I must admit this hotel just blew my mind right at the start. Its location is just perfect with just 300 meters walk to Las Ramblas. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants, pubs, etc nearby. Also, interior of the rooms and quality of hotel personnel is superb. At the time of checking in, we were upgraded to junior suit, which was awesome. Reception staff is amazingly helpful. When you ask a single question, they would go all out of their way to ... The Jazz is near the metro and it's an easy journey on the metro to the various sights that Barcelona has to offer The staff at the hotel speak fluent English and are very helpful. The beds are very large and comfortable. The breakfast is rather over priced. There is a good selection for the continental type but the hot breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. If you turn right out of the hotel, turn right on to the street, walk a couple of hundred yards, cross over the road there is a little place... Read more

Great hotel, got early check in at 12pm and cava was waiting in room as I'd contacted the hotel in advance...they were most helpful. Bedrooms were lovely and spotless. Plenty of choice at breakfast, couldn't fault. Brilliant location, loved the rooftop bar and pool. I recommend the Jazz cocktail. If I could find any fault, milk would be nice to go with the tea and coffee in room. Rooftop bar closes at 11pm and by 10.30pm we felt we had to leave as cushions were being moved, we were the only ones... Read more

Just stayed at Hotel Jazz for 3 nights and I'd highly recommend it. It's a great hotel for the price - the rooms are large with huge, comfortable beds and great showers - the staff are friendly and attentive - the location is perfect and central...a 5 min walk to Las Ramblas - the rooftop pool and bar is handy for a pit stop between sightseeing and dinner. We skipped the breakfast as there are several bakeries nearby (one next door) to pick something up instead.

Barcelona is a relatively expensive city, and the Hotel Jazz does represent good value, with an excellent location in terms of walking to several areas of interest and transport connection points. This hotel is clean, comfortable, does a brilliant breakfast and has a fabulous roof top terrace with a pool. However its biggest selling point is it's perfect location in the city, in the middle of everything you would want to do in Barcelona , making it a perfect location for a city break. My only grumble is the price of their cocktails! We paid ‚?¨11 for the most tasteless , watery mojito- my advice is stay at the Jazz but drink your cocktails elsewhere!

From the moment we arrived this hotel was exceptional! Hotel staff were friendly and on a few occasions when we rang down, the service was instant. All recommendations given by staff were helpful including the flamenco show (tablao flamenco cordobes). This was even booked by staff and dinner recommendations given. The room itself was spotless and as good as the pictures. The bed was massive (2 doubles) and everything worked well. One fault I found as a female was the only mirror in the room bei... Read more

I stayed at this hotel last year for the first time. This time I noticed two particular matters which I feel that I should mention. The previous year we were served individual coffee or tea for breakfast whereas this year these items were supplied by means of a rather inferior coffee machine. For a breakfast costing ‚?¨14, I think one should be able to expect a "real" cup of coffee. The second matter that concerns me is that of being asked to settle the bill as soon as ‚?¨1000 arbitrary limit h... Read more

Stayed at the hotel Jazz as it seemed central, but not to close to the crowds. Perfectly located. 2 minutes from the tube, local shops to get brekkie (subway next door), 10 minute walk to the square and the Ramblas. Really impressed with the rooms, and service of the hotel. It was just effortless. Check in and out easy, information given was clear and accurate. You can tell its just run very well, which makes your stay pleasant. The rooftop pool was amazing. Great to take a dip after a day in... Read more

Great location as the hotel was only 5 minute walk from the Ramblas. There was also a supermarket round the corner and a nice bakery for breakfast right next door. The rooms were really nice, clean and modern. We did have to change rooms on the first night because of a smell of sewage but it was explained to us that this was not the hotels fault and it was Barcelona in the summer. However they did swap our room and offer us a free drink token each for the rooftop bar and brought a bottle of cav... Read more

We visited hotel jazz as part of a deal with Voyage Prive & were most impressed! The location is 5 mins walk from Las Ramblas but very quiet despite being so close to some main roads! The decor is contemporary but warm, the rooms a decent size & huge beds & the showers in the bathrooms are nicely powerful! Breakfast is a lovely mixture of fresh fruit, continental meats & cheeses, cereal, patisserie & cooked including the option of scrambled eggs & omelettes freshly made on request that arrive in... I stayed at Hotel Jazz for a combined business/pleasure weekend. The hotel location is perfect. It‚??s situated approx 5-10 minutes walk from Playa de Catalonia and the top of Las Ramblas and is also close to the metro. It‚??s also really easy to get a cab from the hotel. The hotel itself is great. The bedroom was well appointed and the bed was huge and really comfortable. The staff on reception are professional and helpful and speak a variety of European languages. Pretty good hotel in a good location. Arrived via aerobus A1 (best way to go) from the airport. The stop for the bus is a few minute walk from the hotel. Check in was fast and the front desk staff answered all my questions. The elevator is small, so if you're claustrophobic, ask for a lower floor room. The room: spacious and clean. The king size bed was comfortable. The AC worked well. It comes with a mini fridge. The items inside are not free. The safe works well. The bathroom was big. Th... Read more

We stayed for 4 nights in the Hotel Jazz at the end of July. Hotel is a 2 minute walk from the main square in Barcelona and 5 minutes from Las Ramblas. Hotel is hidden down a side street and is absolutely brilliant. Our room was facing onto the main road but had no problems with traffic noise. Beds were one of the best beds I have ever slept in. Air conditioning worked a treat which was ideal for the warm weather. We will definetely return to this hotel in the future. Reccommend popping into Sco... Read more

It was easy to get to all of our destinations and everything was in walking distance. Hotel staff was very accommodating with a room change and making dinner reservations. The rooftop pool is very nice to have during the evening time and when it's really hot outside. We really enjoyed it. The rooms were good size and the decor was modern as expected. We have stayed here 4 times now and it's just not as it use to be, bits of wall paper are hanging off. It use to be so smart and modern. We had a hinge missing of the bathroom door. The cleaners were round twice on our second day but it had been done. Then 3rd day didn't get room cleaned till 4ish. Breakfast there's still a good choice, there's now brut so u can get alcohol but I'd rather them give u a nice jug off hot coffee like they use too. A great location. We had a wonderful stay for 3 nights. The desk staff were marvelous. There seemed to be a cab within a couple of minutes at all times, even at 3:30 AM when we had to go to the airport. There was a short walk to most of the popular places including Las Ramblas. Restaurants around the area were plentiful and there was even a 24 hour "mini-mart" less than a minute away. Reception staff very helpful, nothing too much trouble, especially Sylvia. I have stayed in about 10 different hotels in Barcelona and I think this one has a good quality-price ratio. I stayed there in May for 3 nights and was pleased with my choice. The room was nice and quiet (asked for and got a room on the courtyard side of the hotel). Breakfast had not the widest selection of delicacies but it offered all the basics for a good hotel breakfast. The rooftop pool was bigger than in many other hotels in Barcelona and had many sundecks. Overall the hotel was very clean... Read more

First time staying in Barcelona, so I don't have anything to compare it to in the area. I think this is an excellent hotel for the price! Nice bathroom, comfortable beds, and spacious for Europe. I think this hotel is very secure as well. Even when we came in late at night, there was a staff member at the front desk paying attention to who was coming in. Hotel Jazz is the perfect hotel for your Barcelona stay. It's just off the top of the Ramblas and within easy walking distance of the Gothic Quarter, El Raval, Barceloneta and much more! Train station right around the corner. Rooms very nice and spacious. Best part of the hotel though is its roof top bar/pool! Great place to watch the sun go down each evening before heading back out for some tapas!

We checked in for 5 nights (9/9 - 9/14) with another couple we were traveling with. We both reserved the same type rooms but they got far more than we did. How can an establishment charge $1700+ US for a stay and not provide the amenities entitled to for the room rate we paid? Below is the comparison of what our travel friends received and what we received: Our friends: Their room was a corner room with windows on two sides. They had robes and slippers, they had a bottle of Cava in the room... Read more

Shouldn't they know this when I inquired directions via metro on that day? For a variety of reasons we stayed in 3 different hotels this trip. Each gave us a different neighborhood feel for Barcelona. The Hotel Jazz area has more of a University feel to it. In Europe most hotels are government rated by stars 1-5. I could not find a star rating for Hotel Jazz. I would equate the Hotel Jazz with a Holiday Inn. The front desk was friendly but not very informative. They had little in the form of suggestions for restaurants. The room was nice but it lacked information... Read more

My husband and I just spent six nights at Hotel Jazz in Barcelona. It was our first trip to this city. Hotel Jazz was the perfect location for visiting Barcelona.
