Another trip to Barcelona where I booked a hotel in the northern part of the town. Nearer to the restaurant bar and cafe scene. Hotel was fabulous, we had a duplex suite. Fab for couples. Only downside was the doors of the suites banged close everytime someone went in and out. Bit noisy late at night but not a huge problem. Fab bathroom faculties, clean and comfy. Plenty of breakfast places around as I felt it was far too expensive in the hotel at 12‚?¨each. Supermarket directly behind the hotel... Read more

This hotel looked very nice on the website. The interior was very shiny and dark. Lots of glass everywhere.Boutique hotel chic I guess. The room I was in was also shiny and dark. The only window was almost entirely covered by a mosaic pattern pattern and I was also in between building so let in very little light. There was interior lighting, little lights with a many little light switches for dimming and lighting, too confusing. Even with all lighting on the room was black, claustropobic ... Read more

I stayed Hotel Granados with 6 friends for a birthday celebration. The hotel was beautiful, boutique style and the accommodation was perfect for our requirements. The location was a 30 minute walk to the start of the La Rambla area and in a pleasant area with shops and restaurants close by. The rooftop bar and plunge pool are a fabulous addition. The staff were brilliant - pleasant and extremely helpful whether for our hotel requirements or in helping with arrangements and advice for travel, res... Read more

Stayed twice in this great hotel on our recent trip to Spain. This staff are just excellent and the rooms are wonderful. The best feature however is the great location in a non-touristy part of Barcelona. Great little shops on every corner yet good accessibility to the rest of this wonderful city. Would highly recommend this property.

What a lovely way to spend a long weekend! My husband and I celebrated our 20 year anniversary last weekend and it couldn't have been better. The hotel was perfectly situated for exploring the city, the staff couldn't have been more helpful and the room was lovely! Can't wait to come back!

Granados 83 is conveniently located to the metro via a short 5 minute walk from the hotel to the Diagonal. The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating, the rooms are comfortable and overall a great find. Of the minor issues, the bars are not regularly staffed and a coffee wasn't provided everyday for the in room espresso machine, however the staff would quickly bring some from the restaurant. Overall a pleasant experience!

A clean, modern hotel in a fabulous area, great for eating out or just enjoying a Rioja and people watching. We really enjoyed the roof terrace for drinks or to cool of on the little pool after a busy day sightseeing. Staff were all friendly and smiling. Well equipped rooms didn't want for anything much, maybe a less creaky bed.

this was our second visit and our only regret was that we hadn't booked for longer. We stayed in a duplex suite which is such good value for money with access to the dipping pool which was very welcome after a day of sightseeing. The hotel is so well situated for the sights and has a great range of restaurants within easy reach. The hotel is in a peaceful area so nice to return to after a busy day.

This hotel has the most unusual (and fun) family rooms that we have ever booked. Our kids enjoyed having their own room on a different floor and the semi-private pool was a nice way to cool down on a hot day. The bathrooms were also large and well stocked. The front desk staff could not have been nicer and more helpful. They recommended nearby places to eat and things to see, marking it all on an easy-to-read map. We stayed only one night before a cruise leaving from Barcelona, but wished we could have stayed longer. My kids were thrilled with the two story bedroom and semi-private pool. This was our first stop in Barcelona and we were delighted to see our lovely room, bathroom and upstairs sitting area that opened onto a private patio and soaking pool. Only a couple small things keep me from giving this property an excellent rating. The hotel was in an excellent location, lots of lovely restaurants and shops nearby and less than a 30 minute walk to the gothic quarter and la rambla, so close to the metro too. The rooms were clean and cosy, only complaint would be the noise levels from the street and other rooms seemed to increase as the week went on but that's not the hotels fault. Exceptional staff and hotel in a centrally located area. Quiet hotel and neighborhood. Great restaurants in the area and 1 block over from the flamenco show we went to. Taxi stop on corner right outside the front door. The only unusual aspect of the hotel rooms were the glass doors for the bathrooms. The style of the hotel is like New York and has a really nice atmosphere, the breakfast buffet is simple but very enjoyable. A dog friendly hotel which is also great.

My husband and I visited this hotel last weekend to celebrate his Birthday. Barcelona is a beautiful city with lots to do and see. We stayed at the Hotel Granados 83 and we were extremely pleased with it! The Hotel is located in a lovely area in a pedestrianised tree lined street in an upmarket part of the city not far from the Passage de Grazia the best street in Barcelona with many stunning buildings and all the top class shops such as Chanel, Tiffanys, Etc and the Gaudi house which is a must.... I couldn't recommend this place more. The staff are so friendly, the rooms are modern. The rooftop deck is a great place to hang out and it is located in a fantastic and safe area of Barcelona. Thanks guys. I will definately stay here on my next visit to Barcelona and recommend you to all of my friends

We loved this boutique hotel. It was situated in a convenient part of Barcelona without being right in the middle of the busiest part of town. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The property was clean and very quiet. I loved that I did not hear other patrons coming and going in the hallway! Two things - They had very soft pillows which made it difficult to get comfortable for me, and they offered no wash/face clothes.

Hotel was lovely & the staff very helpful. The room was very stylish with lots of useful amenities. Also nice white stuff toiletries! Only disappointment was the rooftop pool. Barely bigger than a jacuzzi & very few seats - no sun loungers. Bigger pool with sun loungers that we could see from our room was semi private - whatever that means!

The hotel is in a great location with lots of restaurant and trendy bars. The walk to the city centre can be done in 30mnts. The only downside was that the gym was tiny and that the bigger pool is only accessible if you are in one of the Suites. Staff are very helpful and service is excellent. Rooms are modern and spacious.

We couldn't have picked a better hotel for our six-day visit to Barcelona with another couple. The staff is outstanding and provided us with assistance many times. The bartender at the rooftop terrace bar is exceptional. He was on his game with quick and meeting individual requests. The reception desk personnel were able to give us directions each day and to resolve a problem with the Spanish airlines. And the doorman, the doorman! I don't know if he ever sleeps, but he was there for us day and ... Read more

Grandees is a lovely quiet little road with some very good restaurants/bars and cafes to choose from, only a stones throw from the hotel. The hotel itself is good. Service was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and the bathroom excellent - particularly the shower. The only criticism we would have is PLEASE PUT COFFEE AND TEA ... Read more

Stayed in a suit, two nights. The rooms are really cool and modern. Really nice! We had access to the terrace on the ground floor with a pool and my parents had access to the rooftop terrace with a pool. Both really nice. Didn't feel like the pool was made for swimming in tho'. Excellent service. We were surprised with a bottle of cava on our second night, nice touch. The breakfast is great! Some of it is a buffé and some you order from a menu, all included in the price. I have been to Barcelona multiple times staying in hotels of different price ranges. For this visit I wanted something located centrally around Eixample but with a roof-top terrace or pool. I chose Granados 83 based on TA reviews and since it is part of Design Hotels. The overall experience was excellent. Location is fantastic, since Carrer Enric Granados is one of the quieter areas in Eixample but still full of restaurants, terraces, shops and bars, great for a walk. We tried some restaurants... Modern hotel with great artwork on display, close to shops, restaurants, city centre and still very quite. Rooms are top modern with high end furniture, spotless clean but rather small. Breakfast is okay, I recommend to book it in advance of 12‚?¨, instead of paying 18‚?¨ when not pre-reserved. Pool on the roof is also very small but nice chill area.

Absolutely could not fault this hotel. Very modern rooms with everything you need.. Agree that tea and coffee making facilities would make the room even better so really hope this is added soon as mentioned in other reviews but that really is the only thing I would change. Good quality toiletries, robe and slippers available, free to use safe, good quality hair dryer, nice powerful and hot shower, lovely little balcony area with shutters so the room was pitch black to sleep in.. Recently stayed here for three nights. This is a pretty cool hotel, with exposed brick and glass heavily featured throughout the walkways and walls. The rooms were equally quirky, with heavy features of leather, wood tones and exposed brick. It was generally very clean and modern, and of reasonable size. Service was excellent throughout our stay. The hotel is a short walk to Passeig de Gracia, with two train stations not too far away. Overall a great experience.

We stayed in a duplex for 5 nights in September. Overall super clean and good facilities. However in its attempt to be super trendy, there were some annoying things, e.g. Insufficient lighting (none above your head, only around the wall spot lights) for which the switches were very confusing, to say the least! Insufficient bench/shelf space both in downstairs room and in both bathrooms, and only possible to open one tiny window 3 inches so not possible to get fresh air and the A/C was quite t... Read more

We enjoyed our stay at Granados 83. Loved the "industrial" design and furniture, and the rooms were spacious enough. Good breakfast buffet that also includes Cava! Convenient location in the Eixample district. Lots of supermarkets, eating places, attractions (Casa Mila, Casa Batillo, Gracia area, etc) within walking distance. I spent 6 nights with my partner and daughters in two rooms of this boutique hotel located a 7 minute walk from Casa Perdrera, the Gaudi masterpiece that informs Barcelona's style. Granados 83 was in that spirit of innovation, but with a very modern efficient twist. Lots of exposed brick, steel and wood, with classic Indian sculpture in surprising places.
