Let me start first by stating one will take approx 1/2 hour to reach the hotel from the Airport on a normal day. Hotel has two buildings: - Facing sea and has reception and breakfast facilities. Just one floor tall building facing also the street with all time cars. - Second one is 7 floor building that is NOT sea facing. Choose this if you want to sleep with no street noise. Check in Process was relatively fast although no clue on what basis the rooms are allocated as my colleagues got the... Read more

Modern facilities but warm friendly atmosphere. Situated on busy main road but very quiet ,thanks to excellent double glazing which also kept room warm. We had front room with lovely sea view. Wide choice of breakfast, always quickly replenished. Menu of day/night was really good value and very tasty

I stayed at this hotel in April 2016. My room was small but clean. The bed was comfortable. The TV didn't work properly and none of the 3 English speaking channels worked at all. A couple of the light bulbs were not working. Unfortunately the air conditioning wasn't great but thankfully the weather wasn't too hot whilst I was there so the room stayed relatively cool. I wouldn't like to stay in the hight of the summer though if that's the best the air con can do! My room faced on to the main ... Read more

I stayed here during the International Guaguanco festival (Cuban dance) in summer 2013. The location is top, only a few hundred meters from the beach. The facilities in the hotel are OK but personally I wouldn't rate it 4-stars. The way they provide (and organised) their services to guests van be improved, so be pro-active rather than reactive. I had the feeling they used seasonal staff during my stay. The hotel is pretty remote from the city centre, but you can get there via the metro station w... Read more

My boyfriend and I had a lovely time at Hotel front maritim! Very modern, clean & comfortable, helpful staff, and a great location 5 mins from the beautiful beach. Don't let other reviews tell you it's too far from the main town- (it's not) Lots of taxis, buses and a metro station. We also had a meal in the hotel restaurant which was very good, I recommend the mushroom risotto and the Spanish tomato bread with cheese! Mmm :)

We spent just one night, but were surprised over the quality of service, breakfast and room standard for the price. The hotel of course a little bit far away from city center but close to the Beach and a huge shopping center. The personal in both reception and restaurant were friendly and serviceminded.

just returned from a lovely weekend ( Friday till Monday ) arrived at the hotel 10 minutes walk from the metro easy check in, lovely friendly staff ,room lovely and clean plenty big enough, cross the road and you come to a lovely beach which is where you can walk all the way along into the centre of Barcelona, takes about an hour but a lovely walk especially in the sunshine. Spent the days out and about visiting all the attractions only getting back to the hotel late evening where it was usually... Read more

This is a great hotel 50m from the beach. My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend. We used a 4 day metro pass (great value at 25 euros)to travel by bus or tube to get around the city. Can be used to get back to airport too. The hotel is clean and the staff do there utmost to ensure you have a good stay. Check in was 2 minutes, our room was on the 1st floor (only 2 storeys), and was clean, comfortable and very quiet, we were at the back but it overlooks a small park. The room had a tv with m... Great hotel, have stayed here a few times. Staff always helpful and polite, rooms always clean and comfortable. Easy access to subway, beach and places to eat and drink. Quiet area at night so never any trouble. Highly recommended.

the room was little for two people, there's was not a wardrode and a frigobar, services that I have alway found in other hotels, even of a lower categories. Godd the location in front of the sea. No flexibility for the price of the rental bikes. We rent bikes for three days until 3.pm. We ask for an half rate from 3 pm of the last day until the night, our last night in hotel, but they offer just the full rate. Also the price for rental was too high, we have paid 15 ? per days, in other hotel ... Read more

This hotel is charmless, poorly designed and has massive gaps in its offering. I recently stayed at Hotel Front Maritim for a conference. The place has no character. It is actually two buildings awkwardly connected by dark basement hall. The 'fitness suite' and 'spa' are token gestures to gain 4*. Breakfast is edible but nothing special, passable. Coffee from the help-your-self machines was decent. No wardrobe in the room - only a rail not really wide enough for shirts. No drawers for storage.... Read more

We stayed in this hotel for a week. The hotel is very nice and most of the staff were very friendly although occasionally slow. The rooms were nice also small and there isn't really a place to put bags or clothes. Our sink also clogged a bit but other than that the rooms are quite modern and cosy. The hotel does not actually front the beach, instead it fronts a street, a freeway, a street, a carpark and then the beach. You can still access the beach easily but it is about a 5-7 minute walk. The only variation on its antiseptic blandness was the hotel desk on arrival, where our "early check-in" was waved off because they didn't have any rooms available (the notice dismissed, true to form, with a bureaucratic wave of the hand). Busy beach within 5 mins., decent public transit access to the sights - but not a lot of options later at night.

We spent 7 nights in this hotel. Location is ideal for those who want to enjoy the beach and explore the city at the same time and being far from the busy downtown center doesn't matter. There is a shopping center close to the hotel as well, it makes easy to buy water, etc. The metro stop is about 10 minute walk, I highly recommend the metro instead of the bus.

This hotel is a stones throw away from the beach. The room we stayed in was very clean and well decorated. The only critic is that the noise level is high and the rooms are not fully insulated against this. Apart from the noise my stay was very good. The staff are warm and are very service orientated. A good choice of dishes at breakfast. This hotel is a distance from the old part of town but the public transport system is good, so no real problem there. I recommend this hotel.

We came back from Barcelona a week ago and absolutely loved every minute. The hotel was perfect - not right in the centre of the city but right by the beach with plenty of things to do and a short metro/bus ride into the city. Breakfast was a mixture of hot and cold, continental style and filled us up for most of the day. The room was clean and big enough for the both of us and also got cleaned and the beds remade daily. There was also a tv and a hairdryer which I imagine would be found in every... Read more

I had a 4-night stay there, to participate in a medical congress in the nearby International Convention Center. The hotel is located just outside the heart of the city, in front of the famous marbella beach. The nearest metro station is the Selva del Mar, a 5-min. walking distance, to go fastly in the city center and in the various attractions of Barcelona. Check-in was fast. My room was in the first floor, facing directly on the sea. It had a relatively good size, equiped with the usual ameniti... Read more

If you are looking for a cheap holiday in Barcelona with a good location then this is the hotel for you. To get the usual gripes you will hear from others reviewing over with first, it has a dark interior and is a little worn round the edges but it is very clean, the staff are friendly and efficient, anything I booked extra at the location was dealt with promptly. Comfy beds. Great location across from the beach. 10 mins by taxi to La rambles. 10 mins on foot from Diagonal Mar shopping g centre. Breakfast great. Fresh and plentiful. Car parking available but expensive at 15 euro per night. Oné little blot on our memory of our stay was that my little boy left behind his beloved teddy and I assure him we could rescue him and have him posted home. Hotel advised he was nowhere to be found ??

The hotel is quite dated, but for me the big let down is the fact you have to go over a very busy motorway to get to the beach which is not mentioned at all on website. It's also far out from everywhere so you must take taxis or metro everywhere which add to the cost. The staff was friendly enough but watch out for over charges.

The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and it has absolutely everything you could need. The breakfast was lovely and had a great variety of hot and cold and sweet and savoury foods. Ignore any reviews that claim it's cold or there's a poor range because this problem has obviously been rectified or never existed. The staff are really helpful and speak a variety of languages; nothing is too much trouble, they're all so friendly and you feel permanently greeted by smiling faces. The rooms are lo... Read more

Hotel room was a little small but very affordable and clean. Hotel has its own parking but on weekends you can find free parking nearby. The hotel is not near the most touristic part of Barcelona but metro and taxis are a good option. The area is Ok, best part is the beach across the street and the olympic port for parties and late dinners.

Good hotel just next to the beach with decent rooms and good breakfast. I loved that I could jog along the beach anytime and enjoy the sporting facilities at the beach.
