This is exactly the location I wanted in the Bari Gottica and near the metro station. Out the window from the foot of the bed we could see a continual flow of activity and revelers at all hours of the day and night. The special windows screened out an amazing proportion of the outside sounds. Dunnes Irish Pub was 20 yards away and inebrieated revelers from there or nearby did their version of scream and shout till round midnight. We were there sat, sun and monday nights. On the plus side th... Read more

We were fortunate that we were able to stay in a room that had an outdoor balcony that overlooked the nearby Roman walls and the Barcelona Cathedral. The hotel is ideally situated for walking through the amazing Gothic district and the waterfront. In 15 minutes, you can find yourself at Las Ramblas where there are plenty of shops and restaurants. Back at the hotel, we found the room to be very comfortable with all the necessary amenities you'd expect and our room even had a complementary laptop... Read more

We stayed here for 4 nights in May. The air conditioning was working fine, although it seems like it gave a little too cold temperature. We chose this hotel because of the location, just a few minutes walk to the Barceloneta beach and also to El Born and The Rambla. The hotel room was quite small, with some trouble placing two big suitcases, but we managed. We stayed in room 503, and asked when booking for a top floor, as I read earlier reviews that there was pretty much noise from the street. T... Read more

I travel a lot and this is the first time I have ever encountered very strong, bathroom grade air freshner being pumped in the lobby. I don't do well with chemicals and simply checking in made me feel ill. I asked very nicely for them to power it off and they refused. Sadly I have to stay here and basically bolt in and out of the lobby but honestly who wants their lobby smelling like a bathroom? Air freshner has no place in the lobby of a hotel especially a four star one. The hotel is otherwise... Read more

This 1840s boutique feel hotel is beautiful from the moment you walk in the door. It even smells beautiful! The staff are most welcoming. We arrived hours earlier than our 2pm check in time yet Manuel on thr5 front desk was so helpful and was able to get us into our room earlier. He even gave us a better room than we had booked. The junior suite has marble floors, a beautifully appointed and clean bathroom and a small private terrace with an outdoor table setting. The bed is king size and the ro... Read more

I stayed here for five nights with my sister in law in room 211,which overlooked the Roman wall.the room had a small balcony which was lovely. Our room was spotless and cleaned every day. We had breakfast daily there was a lot of choice, very good fresh juice really set us up for the day. The staff without exception were happy and helpful. Brilliant location! Walking distance to loads of places or the metro just over the road. Would stay again if I ever went back to Barcelona .

Great location. Busy street. Nice lobby, reasonable rate. Very slow check in. In room safe requires a 25 euro cash deposit, no credit card no us currency. Safe too small for a Microsoft surface tablet and not conveniently located. Smallest hotel room I've stayed in but has free wifi and a minibar. Air conditioning never achieved set temperature. One complimentary drink ticket no matter how many days you booked. Friendly staff. Good complimentary breakfast. Great Irish pub couple of doors down... Read more

If you're only looking for a clean place to sleep at with good location, no service, no WIFI, then go ahead with this one, even though I think you could find much better. More details about our stay: So, Barcelona was our 3rd stop in our honeymoon and our hotel expectations were higher than that especially that it was a 4 stars hotel When we arrived, no one helped us with the bags or anything - so basically it's a help yourself hotel, this is definitely ok, but only if you're in a 3 or less s... Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.. The staff didn't wanted to help with anything, they were slow and frankly they looked like they didn't wanted to work there.. It's not that we thought that the service would be perfect, but that it would be so low was disappointing.. On top I forgot a present in the room and when I called the hotel to make sure it was still there they just told me it was my own problem and that I shouldn't expect to get it back.. Actually I was stunned at the le... Read more

The hotel arcitecture was of the older style since its in the gothic quarthers, which was nice. The information we got from the hotel reception was great. The 2+1bed room was large and with the best shower i've ever had at a hotel. 4/5 since breakfast wasnt that great, but hey, its Spain.

Stayed for 4 nights in this hotel . It was clean but our bathroom floor was very stained. The staff was healpful . We did not use the breakfast it didn't seem to be worth the 11Euros/person.. The safe was small and we needed to give a 25 Euro deposit, no credit cards accepted. Wifi was available but slow . We had the "romantic "room from Fun jet and it had 2 twin beds pushed together. The location is great , easily able to walk to the seaside, the Rambula and metro

Very comfortable stay. Staff were very helpful. Our room was on the first floor and at the back of the hotel. The room was very comfortable and clean. The cleaning staff were excellent throughout our 6 night stay. The breakfasts were excellent, with a wide range of juices, cereals, breads, pastries, cheese, fruit and hot options. The location was perfect.

The location for this hotel is good, based right next to Barcelona Cathedral, walking distance to Gothic area, Las Ramblas and the port but for sure this hotel is not a 4 star, more like a 2 or 3. No room service, no bathrobe or slippers (basic 4 star requirements). It can get very noisy and you can hear other people in rooms moving around. On our first night we were woken very early by the room above moving furniture on a number of occasions, we complained to reception and not a lot was done a... Read more

This hotel was okay. The rooms were small and old, but the location was amazing. Right between the gothic quarter and el born ( great neighborhood for dinner and drinks) and a 5 min walk to the harbor- this hotel cannot be beat for the price. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely hotel in the heart of the Gothic Quater. You step out of the historical streets of the Gothic Quater into a very modern and contemporary hotel. The reception area is big and welcoming and the whole hotel is very clean. The rooms are nice and comfortable with big beds and the bathrooms are also very good. If you are visiting Barcelona, I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel itself is next to a beautiful historic building and lots of people get off the tour bus to visit this area. The hotel staff speak English and were very pleasant. Check in was good. Rooms were a little smaller than I expected but decent enough for our stay. No kettle in the room but if you do want coffee or tea it is free in the lobby area. The lobby area is really nice and sofas available to relax or wait. We asked for our rooms to be cleaned every day during our stay there but I do n... Read more

The location is very central but located at a fairly busy road. The hotel is not a 4 star but rather a decent 3 star. The room I got was very small with a window facing another building a few metres away. Nice bathroom and fairly clean overall.

We originally were checked into room 602. It was horrible. Windows were up high that took a lot of effort to open. Dirty bath and walls, jacuzzi in Bath didn't work. Could hear everything from couple next door. Windows looked onto a wall no view what so ever. Asked to be swapped to another room got room 211. Better room a lot cleaner and quieter but still not what's expected from a 4 star hotel. Location perfect for Born and Gothic area with about a 15 min walk to beach.

This place provides the visitor with access to local Metro, bus and taxi services outside the door. It is a few steps away from the centre area of historical Barcelona with its bustling side streets, tapas bars and a wide variety of shopping experiences. The hotel provides lift and dining, bar fridge and tea coffee making as well as quality ensuite and rooms.
