This is a reasonably priced little hotel just off Las Ramblas. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is going through some renovations but they are very very good at keeping the place clean without debris. We were located on the first floor next to the street and the noise was an issue. We knew this from previous comments so we used ear plugs. I would encourage staying on an upper floor especially for longer stays. The breakfast is good and reasonably priced as well as convenient.

We spent 3 nights at the Hotel Barcelona. One before a cruise and two after the cruise. The hotel was clean and compact and had everything we needed. The staff were helpful and friendly, able to give good advice as to getting around the city. Continental breakfast was available in the cafeteria just off the lobby. The hotel is central to all tourist venues, there are many restaurants within a few minutes walk of the hotel. We enjoyed freshly caught fish, Indian food and of course a mediterranean... Read more

Been there for 72 hours with my sisters to enjoy the city and shopping. Great location - walk distance to anywhere. U have metro a few minutes of walk. Great service at reception, nice Modern room ( no Minibar) Great rain shower. Breakfast was nice, for a city hotel. Sometimes a bit noisy at night from the street (people shouting ) but not interrupt for your rest.

Breakfast (8 euro) has not much variety ,but you eat as much as you want ,so what ! Outside the hotel you pay 6,50 euro but you will still be hungry. At the reception-desk mostly unfriendly personnel , but very safe hotel : 24/24h there is someone at the reception. Fantastic location ! Mark

Just spent 4 nights here, was clean and the rooms a decent size. We had no problems with noise but then again we had an internal facing room, so we didn't have a view either! Quite expensive for what it was, but we did book late. Did not have the breakfast so cannot comment on that. Location is excellent - in the Gothic quarter, easy to get to some of the main sites and the Metro. I think I would describe it as OK, but just not outstanding in any way. Only issue was in the bathroom - whoever de... Read more

We loved this hotel. Comfortable bed, nice inside room which was quiet. The rooms on the street side could be noisy as it is just off Las Ramblas. But we loved the location! It was great to be able to go out every day and walk down Las Ramblas or over to the marina. LOTS of places to eat! Close to the metro and easily navigated to other parts of the city. Hotel staff very helpful, especially Jamal, who really was patient as he helped us book several outings. WIFI was very fast!

If you are looking for a hotel that caters to your requests - or even cares of your requests such as additional bath towels, room keys or a lower room temp, this is not the hotel for you. The staff is rude uncooperative. I would rather sleep in a tent than this hotel in the future. The location is not worth the extra cost and frustration. I will never stay in this flea bag hotel again.

Stayed here for a night with another couple. Location is the most important plus point..its bang on the happening place La Rambla. The rooms are very small but neat and clean. The reception is attended 24x7 and their response is friendly and helpful.Entrance to the rooms floors is somewhat peculiar.Elevators are very small. The rooms lack basic facility like Water Bottles and Tea/Coffee Maker. Overall, a good experience.

This hotel was clean & modern and the staff were friendly and helped when we needed directions. The destination is brilliant as it is so central. Obviously as it is so central there is not a nice view, our room looked down to some pipes so we kept the curtains shut which made us feel closed off a lot of the time. Bathroom was great and clean! The maids were lovely but always came at inconvenient times usually when we were just getting back from being out in the afternoon which was annoying. Brea... Read more

Awful, extremely minimal selection at 'continental' breakfast and very rude, unpleasant woman serving breakfast. Also elevators are difficult to use. However, good central location, good Wi-Fi (bad during peak hours) and clean nice rooms with great shower and we had a very small balcony.

The best thing about this hotel was the location - 10 metres off La Rambla - meant we could walk to a lot of the attractions and watch the antics on the Rambla itself The beds were quite hard and we were given 2 single beds instead of a King/queen - which was a little unexpected - the noise from the street and surrounding area was easily heard through to 6.30am most nights (however Euro 2016 was on at the time), the room was quite spacious with a very nice tile shower, it is clean and air condit... It wasn't too noisy for a hotel near bars and Las Ramblas. It has a modern design and ample space in the rooms. Also a safety box if you need one. The staff are friendly and helpful; while we were there other guests had an altercation of sorts in the middle of the night and the staff was ready to intervene and avoid disturbing other guests, which I really appreciated. We had a room facing Carrer Escudellers and it had a little balcony--enough space to set up a chair or for two people to comforta... Read more

Stayed here October 2015 for a three night break. I had booked this for my boyfriend's birthday as I knew it was a place he'd always wanted to go and it was a place I'd never been before. At point of booking I hadn't really researched much into the city and was slightly worried whether I'd booked us too far out from the main attractions or where there are plenty of things to do/restaurants and bars. I had nothing at all to worry about!!! We were in the heart of La Rambla where there are so many ... Read more

Room was small, no view a window to a brick wall. No ice machine and it was quite hot. good location. Shower screen not big enough so water all over bathroom floor. Only one key so if one of us went out the other was left with no lights on. Staff or other guests very noisy at 4am one morning and 5am the next

Recently remodeled and nice location. Rooms are small, but in a city like Barcelona, you don't spend much time there. Excellent location, a block from Los Ramblas. Plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby.

Visited Barcelona for first time with partner. Hotel is in a great central location, being in the gothic district. Very clean with friendly staff. Hotel can be a bit noisy, but that is because of its central location. Close to the beach, la ramblas and rieul square. If you want relaxing posh hotel, this is not for you.

Travelling with a group of six women decided to come early to checkout Barcelona for a couple of days before embarking on our 12 day cruise. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms, though smaller than North American standards, were very clean and comfortable. The price was the most affordable we found for such a great location. This Hotel was just one block off of "la Rambla". One of the main touristee thoroughfares in Barcelona. Hotel was very nice and modern. Only complaint...h... Read more

As an American who usually stays at LQ, Marriot, Holliday Inn. This was a great hotel, in a Fantastic location. Front desk was very nice and lets you drop off bags early if your room isn't ready. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

2nd time of stopping here, stayed in October 2016 for three nights. The hotel is exceptionally well positioned just behind Placa Reail which means its right in the heart of central Barcelona and La Rambla Rooms are well equipped and clean with good facilities. Staff are pleasant and non intrusive. The only "downside" to this hotel are the people who hang round the outside in this general area in the evenings. The hotel could/should do more about this with the Police so that guests do not fe... Read more

Had a top floor room facing the front of hotel. Nighttime noise was a pain on the first night with the shouting going on until 5.00am, but managed to sort the air conditioning on the second and couldn't hear any noise once the window was closed. I would definitely recommend the hotel for both price and location

We were able to book this hotel privately when our travel agent was unable to book it for us. The night life around could be loud but it didn't impede on getting a good sleep. Lots of restaurants and sites to see in walking distance, but don't try walking to Sangria Familia.

Great location and clean hotel. We were given a very large room. Unfortunately the walls are very thin, could hear what was going on in the other rooms. Not for the light sleepers as the partying and music can be heard well into the night.
