I had a mixed purpose stay in Barcelona in May, my wife and I stayed for 9 nights in the Arts hotel which is perfectly located for city tours and great views over the city. Upon checkin we were given a room with separate beds which the team promised to rectify the next day. When we got into our room the room was not clean at all and we complained to the front desk, the lady looking after us was really great and found a solution straight away. The next day as promised we were moved to a room wi... Read more

Stayed in club class for three nights and had a fantastic time. Every member of staff was polite, helpful and attentive. The hotel itself is spotless and looks beautiful throughout. The pool area is great and the hammocks in the grass areas are lovely. The food served is of a very high standard and I would recommend the club lounge for service & convenience. Situated towards the Olympic village it is central enough to visit everything in Barcelona with ease. The rooms have amazing views over... Read more

The service in this hotel is absolutely impeccable, beautiful rooms but a bit outdated and a small renovation is surely welcome. The one thing which bothered me immensely was the smell in the room. The previous guest smoked in the room and the smell was barely tolerable. A pity. We mentioned this at the reception desk but no action was undertaken. Here is some room for improvement, but no worries we come back and give it another try.

The Arts is right on the port and has easy access to the main sights of Barcelona. The rooms are nice a spacious. We had a sea view room with multiple windows that gave great views of the sea and the city. I would recommend staying at least 8 floors up. Hotel restaurant food was a bit pricey, even for the area, but tasted very good and service was fine. The staff was from multiple countries and pleasant to talk with.

I have NEVER - EVER been greeted at a hotel with such enthusiasm, such professionalism, such attention to my every need - even when I didn't know I needed it. This hotel is beyond amazing. The staff is OUTSTANDING from the handsome young men who greet you at the entrance in their designer black outfits - to the strikingly beautiful young women who greet you every time you step off the elevator at the 2nd floor lobby - they are able to converse in multiple languages at a moments notice without ... The Hotel Arts is a beautiful hotel, but I was not thrilled with the location. It is located at the far end of the promenade and beach, but not a lot to do in the area. Everyone working there was absolutely pleasant to everyone, and very helpful. A nice little touch is the free candy in the lobby - small bags and all! Free Cava, too. The hotel is located near a large group of restaurants, and the harbor for some smaller boats. Several of the restaurants were very disappointing, and the horrib... Read more

The hotel is beautiful - crammed with amazing art and wonderfully designed. The views are amazing - the higher up the hotel, the better - and if you can get a corner suite so you can see the marina and the city. The staff are genuine, friendly and attentive. Breakfasts are wonderful and the landscaped gardens, terraces and pool areas are very relaxing despite being in the heart of the city. The only thing to watch is the extra charges which were unexpected and annoying. For example, wifi is... Read more

Just outside the hotel you have some very nice restaurants and the main attraction of Barcelona are within walking or short taxi ride.

Hotel arts was beautiful and had a great location beach front also close to,several clubs. Great views from the higher floors of beach and city. The staff were excellent and spoke several languages with everyone knowing English Nice pool with bar and limite food service. Things were a little expensive. Beer was 10 euros ( and Spanish beer is not that good) and a watered down Pi√Īa calada was 15 euros.

They never seemed put out with requests and went out of their way to please. The rooms have gorgeous views with huge windows. The Arts is a good property, perfectly located in Barcelona and certainly one of the top hotels in the city. However, there are some shortcomings that make the experience not exactly "five star". ROOMS - The rooms are good, as long as you are on a high floor and ideally facing the sea or the marina. Beware of rooms on lower floors or on the back of the building: soundproofing is decent, but you will get noise. They are well appointed and certainly five star standard. The Hotel location and standard is second to none. Located at the beach where all the fun , restaurants ... Etc are . Hotel itself is of highest standard as expected of a Ritz Carlton - anyway if you are paying over 400 Euro per room per night - that's what you expect. The spa is amazing . The only problem was the street noise. We asked for connecting rooms which were on the street side & very very nioisy. The service at Hotel Arts in Barcelona was extraordinary. Natalia (Front Desk) and Alex (Manager, Bellman) were immensely courteous and professional for our entire stay. The rooms were very clean and well appointed. The entire pool staff was simply wonderful and very helpful in securing lounge chairs every day for a week no matter what time we arrived! I can't wait to go back! Thanks for a great vacation.

Great hotel .. Pricey but Worth the money... The hotel lacks a disco but just walk outside and it's all there.. Avoid eating in the hotel... Extremely expensive.. Go to the marina across from hotel and will find great restaurants with great prices...check your bill at check out many people in our group had charges they did not incur.. Pool area beautiful but a bit small.. First time in Barcelona and can't wait to go back....

From the moment we arrived we were enveloped in a sweeping blanket of service. With 6-7 million tourists visiting Barcelona each year, expect the hotel to be busy. Reception is on the 1st floor and it is school Ho,I days, so we had to queue for a while. Nevertheless, the hotel has exceptional staff that speak any language required and they buzz around you offering refreshments and help. We stayed in the Cub area of the hotel. The room was stunning. After an extended trip to Europe we booked our last two days at this exceptional hotel on the recommendation of a friend. WOW! What a treat. The staff, everyone from the front desk (Giorgia and Beatrix) to the pool manager, were just fabulous. Being next to the casino makes for a very busy lobby and it is a bit of a hike to the places you want to be (Las Ramblas, El Ravel, etc) but the service and pure luxury of this hotel make you never want to leave.

The club lounge on level 33 is one of the highlights of this hotel. It's a haven away from the very busy lobby downstairs which always seemed to be full of people lined up waiting for service. The seating offers a choice of dining tables, low tables and sofas to suit singles, couples and groups. The food and beverage offerings are very generous with champagne available all day long. The variety of the food available didn't change much but the quality was good with lots of fruit and salads. M... Read more

Your first impression of this hotel may be a bit wow like, especially when they offer you some champagne, but after that it's not really that great - they don't come across as genuine or sincere. Obviously that is just my opinion, as I see lots of people think this place is wonderful in their reviews - it could be an age thing. They have a lot of interns working here so to me there is a sense of a lot of people, many of which don't really know what they are doing and who think big cheery wel... Read more

The hotel is really offering an excellent service at a wonderful location directly next to the beach and the marina. You can enjoy the wonderful view at the sea, the city and the mountains. The staff is very friendly and competent. The city centre is rather close. We usually took a taxi from the hotel to one point in the city (around 10$) and then made our way back to the hotel by walking. Concierges Carlos and Mary were the best! Provided us with terrific advice for sightseeing and restaurants, and tour guides. Made the trip fantastic. The amenities in the room were great. The service staff in the restaurants were fantastic. You would never believe this was a large hotel. It was more like a boutique hotel. The location was terrific on the water but yet within walking distance to key sights.

I have never stayed anywhere quite like it. 5* is nice but this hotel has just excelled beyond any other 5* I have stayed in before. The staff cannot do enough for you and they make everything run like clockwork. It's the little touches that count - a box of catalan treats on departure for example. The rooms are HUGE and very comfortable. Incredible views of the city and coastline too. Stayed with my wife for a weekend in a junior suite. Hotel is well located and rooms are well equipped and comfortable. We had a lovely sea view room. Location is away from central Barcelona but just in front of the beach and walking distance to Barceloneta. No complaints on comfort and service, food and drinks are overpriced. If you are in to big trendy hotels, this place is for you but for charm and character best to go elsewhere.
