This is a real 5 star hotel, with 3 uniformed doormen who will open your taxi door and grab your luggage for you, exceptional bedding, marbled bathrooms, turn down service, etc. The rooftop terrace has an exceptional view and is well shielded from the wind, but the pool is tiny, and during the day there's almost no-one up there. Probably nice in the evenings, but I didn't get a chance to be there then. I think I've only given a hotel 5 stars once before, so given that I gave Casa Fuster 5 sta... Read more

We stayed here as a group of three for three nights in the beginning of our stay in Barcelona. It was fabulous. The hotel was gorgeous and the service was the best I have experienced at a hotel. From the bellmen, to front deal staff, to the cleaning people there are no complaints. The location was a great and convenient for sight seeing. The only thing is the room was loud from street noise so being earplugs if you are a light sleeper. We will stay again if ever in Barcelona again!

We stayed only one night as we were hopping on the Sea Dream Yacht next but we'd travelled a nasty itinerary from Toronto and showed up mid morning exhausted. They upgrade us without discussion and told us the room would be ready in 2 hours! Timing was right to grab a brunch and walk a bit, in order to adjust the time zone change, and our room, as promised was waiting for us. The hotel is beautiful, the staff great - they made a very special birthday treat from my husband even more special - they spoilt me - cava and black forest gateau delivered to the room. I love my baths and the bath was fabulous especially with a glass of cava. View from the roof top terrace was amazing. The bed, pillows and linen were top quality.

What a stylish experience in this old, but well kept hotel right in the heart of Barcelona, with plenty of luxury shopping nearby. The rooms are a little dark, but well appointed with very comfortable beds. I was lucky enough to be in a suite which was absolutely fabulous. The service in the hotel is exceptional. Try the rooftop bar on a balmy evening. You have a great view right up Passeig de Gracia. and across the city. This bar and pool are really special in the evening

This is a fabulously beautiful hotel in possibly the most desirable part of Barcelona. The staff are kind, friendly and welcoming and made our week long stay very special and comfortable even though we patently could not afford many 'frills' (drinks, breakfast, any form of room service etc - charges for these were very steep). I have visited the Casa Fuster about 10 times and have never found the time to actually review it, until now. The Casa Fuster can, for some, be a home away from home. The staff take a personal interest in their guests and go out of their way to make the stay as enjoyable as possible. I had to think about this review for awhile because I was not sure how I felt about the hotel. When you arrive there is a doorman to greet you and assist you with your bags and a smiling receptionist to check you in. The rooms were gorgeous with a full bath tub and everything you need as far as toiletries. The reason why I am so hesitant to give this a raving review is because the staff didn't make us feel like we were "home" or welcomed. The overall feel of the place was like you were in a muse... This hotel is in a turn-of-the-Century home in Barcelona. It lies at the end of one of the main streets of Barcelona where shops, restaurants, and landmarks are all walking distance. They gave us a junior suite with a view of the street. There are a lot of very nice hotels in this general region in Barcelona, but one of the things that makes this one stand out is its excellent location. Yes, it's downtown within easy walking distance of most of what you'd want to see, but it's not smack dab in the middle of the mayhem, so things are just a bit more quiet in the hotel's immediate vicinity. Casa Fuster Hotel is literally the best hotel in Barcelona, if not Spain. The service is impeccable, rooms clean and spacious, and wonderful amenities. Food is a little pricey, but the rooftop terrace views make it worthwhile. This is located in a perfectly central area of BCN. Highly recommend.

We went to the Jazz there and it was fine. We had some check in excitement as they tried to get us in early but the room was smokey, the next the lights didn't work and we just accepted the third as we were tired. The staff were accommodating, moving our things and were apologetic.

Casa Fuster is located in a great area. Has a terrific rooftop bar/tapas area. It's away from all the chaos of Las Ramblas. I recommend this hotel if you like old, stately hotels. Staff is quite helpful with whatever you need. Rooms are quiet.

Hotel location fantastic, could walk to most places including the seaside or most cab fares cost between ‚?¨5-‚?¨10 and there are plenty of them. Staff were Very good and respectful, remembered our names and always greeted us to open the taxi door. I don't swim but my wife was disappointed at the roof top "pool" is actually a splash pool about 10ft long. The lighting throughout the hotel including the rooms was very soft and so it was difficult to read at night. I refrained from paying ‚?¨7.5 fo... Read more

Stayed in Casa Fuster for two nights during le Merce festival in September . Location was great, since hotel was not in the middle of very crowded area during the festival, but close to everything - shopping, metro. Hotel is in the unique building that was constructed in the beginning of 20th century by famous Catalan architect Lluís Domenech i Montaner. Well equiped luxury rooms, hotel has roof top bar with panoramic view of Barcelona .

Well restored modernist masterpiece. Attentive and welcoming service. Comfortable and well appointed rooms. Nice rooftop terrace bar and restaurant. Great breakfast buffet. There is a gym that is better than nothing, but not sure most guests want something more. The location is not far from the Gothic quarter but has the advantage of being on the edge of a residential neighborhood so one can experience life as a resident. We stayed twice on this trip, before and after a tour of Catalunya.... Read more

We had three standard rooms for four nights. Spacious (by European standards) and extremely comfortable. Rooftop terrace is a lovely place for a coffee or a drink and a dip in the (small) pool. The staff was uniformly friendly and helpful. I recommend it whole-heartedly.

We spent 5 nights here and had an excellent stay. The location ( Eixample area ) is within walking distance of several sites - Plaza Catalunya, Ramblas, we even walked back to the hotel from the Sagrada Familia. This is a very safe upscale neighborhood. The hotel amenities fulfilled all our needs - gym, pool, sauna, rooftop bar, and a very diverse delicious breakfast. This is the most wonderful hotel. Our room was beautiful and all the extras were spot on - wifi, bathroom accessories, coffee maker, chocolates on the bed. The staff were so helpful - nothing too much trouble. Food is devine and the rooftop bar/restaurant is a bonus. From a business point of view, Carolina the events manager, is a jem. She made our meeting run like clockwork. All the staff go out of their way to assist guests. They even have a Jazz night in the main lounge once a week. Cl... Read more

There is not a bad room in this place. I have never been to a better hotel. They know what you need before you do and are always friendly and helpful. I'm not sure I will be able to find another hotel like this anywhere again. The beatitudes design and location of the hotel only adds to its charm. I felt like I was returning home after a day out exploring Barcelona. The food at the hotel was excellent . The main bar was whimsical and inviting. I recommend to anyone to stay at the Casa Fuster!

Stayed for 5 nights and it was a very pleasant stay. Excellent service by the staff. Bed was very comfy and we liked the window and little balcony area. We also liked the rooftop area where you can see the city vista. Seriously lacking lighting in the room. Bathroom toilet flush was very tricky. You have to press it very firmly and do that a couple of times. Very surprising that was the case as the hotel is a five star and rooms are in pretty good state. Perfect location. Really really helpful and friendly staff and concierges - makes such a difference. The gym is small and the pool is very small (and closed) - not as it appears on the website. Suggest the hotel doesn't need to use this photo for advertising as the rest of the accommodation is lovely.

My husband picked this hotel. It is. Beautiful old hotel. We have a nice room with windows on a side street which can be noisy. The sound seems to echo up to us. Our room is clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is very dark with dark furnishings and drapes and not much light. They need to put some brighter lamps in the room so people can read a book or newspaper. We have free wifi and breakfast. The hotel is near buses and the metro.

Casa Fuster's history is a blend or love and art. The hotel was originally built by a gentleman by the name Mariano Fuster and dedicated to his wife Consuelo Fuster and was considered the most expensive at that time-this is the love angle of the facility. It is equally an artistic master piece. We had a business dinner here on the upper floor comprising smoked salmon stuffed with cheese, crudités, asparagus and tartar sauce. Those who preferred red meat had a choice of lamb with potatoes stuf... Read more

I stayed at Casa Fuster for 4 nights in Barcelona for business. It was an excluding hotel. Very tidy and clean at the end it is a 5-star hotel. Wouldn't recommend it for a family as rooms are a bit small, dark (not a lot of sunlight in std rooms) and its price is on the high side. Other than that really enjoyed it for my visit purpose great amenities great staff. Location is nice as well. Surrounded by nice restaurants and just 5-10 min walk from main shopping district.

This was our second visit to this hotel--fantastic building and great location--but unfortunately this visit fell short of our great memories. The interior is starting to seem dated, and not in a good way. Our room, and for that matter most of the public spaces are unrelentingly dark and gloomy. Barcelona is a city of architectural and design excellence; Casa Fuster holds an important place in that world; and staying in this hotel brings this to life. The hotel was the residence of a wealthy family from times past. The conversion to hotel use was well done and very much of the feeling of the modernist period remains in the rooms and common areas. Hotel Casa Fuster was first rate in every way. The building is a striking early 20th century modernist design - it fits in well with the Gaudi architecture you'll notice around the city - and was not originally a hotel, but it has been repurposed remarkably well. So much so that I was surprised to learn it had ever been anything else. The staff was welcoming and helped us with maps and directions, dinner reservations, basically whatever we needed.
