We went with friends last weekend for the Grand Prix, very central location, 10 minute walk to La Rambla. Rooms lovely and clean, staff were very friendly and helpful. Only down side was a drain smell in our bathroom.

Stayed in Barcelona for 3 nights, the hotel is a convenient 5-10 minute walk to la rambla, with bus stops & metro station also close by. We didn't realise we'd need one until the last day, but a 3 day ticket works out the best value. The hotel itself has clearly been recently refurbished, with the gym & spa still in the works. We had a room on the first floor, facing the main road, as we always use earplugs at night, the traffic wasn't an issue, but would have been if we did not have these. As ... Read more

Room was quite warm, had to have patio door open except during night. Very comfortable beds and 115 channel TV. Excellent room safe which was easy to operate and FREE. Reception very helpful. Breakfast very extensive, buffet style. Hot food eg scrambled eggs, bacon etc not very warm despite being placed under heated lights. Great location for sightseeing, near most amenities. Not too far from airport so transfers don't take too long. Overall, a good hotel, thoroughly recommended.

The hotel was in a good location and very reasonably priced. Their idea of cleaning the rooms left a lot to the imagination. Some of the staff on reception weren't the most pleasant happy people in the world. Plenty of choice for breakfast, the only problem was it was always cold. Rooms very spacious however a bit noisy. Hotel right opposite the metro and only a 5 minute walk to La Ramblas and Barcelona Port, which is very realxing.

Check in wasn't until 2pm but they have a storage area for your luggage while you wait so we used our time to explore the area and walked down to the beach and had drinks and lunch which is a bit of a walk but not if you don't mind it to take in your surroundings. Came back at 2 and was given our room which was the 7th floor at the back which was very peaceful and had a view of the city. had no balcony just a large window which was a shame as would of been nice to sit out there. Toiletries provi... Read more

a very well located hotel - walking distance from important spots in Barcelona and 1 minute walk from the Metro. Nice rooms, very nice breakfast, my only problem was the AC not working until summer (but they gave us a fan, which solved the problem). In short - reccommended.

My son (27) and me came to Barcelona for 6 days. I spent 15 days at this area which was great and so I choose the AutoHogar hotel for the location, at Paralel St, great spanish neighborhood and still close to main points. You are like 8 bus stations from Plaza Catalunya (2.15Euro bus ticket) bus number 24, and 5 stations far from Plaza España with bus 20D. Here you are 2 minutes close to Blau St which is a large promenade full of Tapas Bars, restaurants where you see Spanish people not tourists.... Read more

Nice hotel with renovated surfaces recent years. The hotel is situated in a busy street. -Rooms are ok, but only quiet towards the backyard. Breakfast doesn't hold the highest standards, but fair enough. Only minor refill if you're a late sleeper. Some strange 'rules' at breakfast, ie. no free seating or not allowed to bring coffee to the rooms etc. -Otherwise good cleaning, and great service at the front desk. Close to metro and walking distance to both Rambla and Pl.Espanya. 3+

It's a five min walk to la Ramlas but keep walking to the east of La Ramblas lots more small shops and better restaurants. Hop on hop off bus or metro but we walked most of Barcelona When 10 years ago now a lot more police around keeping the pickpockets and fake sellers away feels safer but still be aware

We were surprised when we arrived at the Auto Hogar Hotel, which is a nice and very well located hotel! Location: The hotel is 10-15 walking minutes away from La Rambla, but you're even faster by metro, whose station is in front of the hotel. Rooms: The rooms are small and stylish. Especially the bathroom was great. It was quite loud, as the hotel is located at a busy road. Also there's a disco opposite the hotel (Sala Apolo - another recommendation!). It made nearly no difference if the window... Read more

The rooms we had were excellent with plenty of space and almost like a suite. It was well decorated fresh and clean. We did have to walk through the internal car park to get to our rooms but this wasn't really an issue. Definitely would stay here again and recommend it.

The hotel is in a very good location and it is very clean. The breakfast has vegetarian options and we were able to get soy milk on request. The front desk is very helpful with transport tips and tours.

Visited here at easter for a big birthday and was very pleased with the area. The Hotel was in a quiet position albeit on a main road. Down a side street a few steps away led to la ramble which is main street that's filled with restaurants and bars and is also home to flamenco show. The marina is also a ten minutes stroll where you'll find shops and bars and boat trips. This is also where the bus tours stop too to go on and off where you want. Hotel was very clean and a good breakfast with pros... Read more

No thrills hotel, does exactly what you need it to do! Large showers in ample sized bathrooms, even though the room we had was on the small size, it had an ample sized bed for the both of us... Considering my fiancee is 7 1/2 months pregnant! A good selection of foods for breakfast as well. Staff were always very friendly and polite, along with very good English.

Rooms are decent, aircon is really poor, it just doesn't cool the room even running on max power thru the night. Wifi is poor, breakfast is so-so. We stayed for 3 days and on last day they forgot to mend our room... So no fresh towels, toilet paper and other stuff. Now I know why they charge upfront... Not recommending to anyone

We booked the hotel through a travel agency and were apprehensive based on some of the reviews. However we were pleasantly surprised. It is not a high end hotel but not budget either. The staff were polite and helpful, breakfast service was well stocked and varied day-by-day (veggie options available) and the rooms are of good size. We had a slight issue with the air con; it's simply not good enough at cooling the room and you will need to have it on all night to cool the room! In addition, the ... Read more

This Hotel probably deserves a good rating but not from us. It was only one night and one front desk staff made this an unpleasant stay. Not friendly and unhelpful. Our room was ok except for a very noisy air con that woke us repeatedly though the night which we didn't appreciate after 24 hours of flying. On a good note the breakfast...with champagne was ok.

A very decent hotel property with all the basic amenities in it.Situated 1.5 km away from the La Rambla street. The hotel situated at Parallel . We took a triple room and the room was having adequate space to accommodate . The hotel is now under construction but you will not find any problems regarding it .Staff is very good and very helpful.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. You really can't ask for more. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean. A word to the wise: do not book this hotel if you expect adequate air conditioning. We expected air conditioning (they advertise that they have it) but the air conditioning is absolutely inadequate and is useless, and they know it. Other than the AC, everything was great.
