The hotel was as expected basic but comfortable. The rooms were cleaned and the towels changed daily. The location was ideal for walking around Barcelona with the Sagrada Familia being some 5 mins away and Las Rambla some 15/20 mins. There were 2 metro stations close by. We only had breakfast at the hotel once when we had an early start. It was OK but much better to get out and find a nice cafe. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and spoke good English. I had researched this hotel on trip advisor before committing to my Expedia booking. Bed was so comfy, room very clean and a great base as that's all we needed for this trip. Beds made up daily and bathroom cleaned, towels replaced every couple days. I agree with other travellers, little touches like water in the room on arrival would be nice or a kettle in the room, in addition the walls were thin but generally slept really well and enjoyed our stay.

We needed a room when we arrived in Barcelona, and luckily Acta Antibes had availability. Unfortunately they did not have a room for the full three nights that we needed, but they helped us find a room at another hotel. Very nice! Also, the staff tolerated my poor Spanish and they spoke English very well. They also let us keep our luggage behind the front desk after we checked out, because our new hotel wouldn't let us check in until later in the day. The room was clean, and the bed was com... We spent 5 nights at this hotel on room only basis on 5th floor. It was easy to find, a few minutes from Monumental metro station and 15 minutes walk from Arc de Triomf and cuitadella park. It is a modern hotel and has bars and restaurants nearby that are open early til late for meals at very affordable prices. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed here for 1 night, largely due to the location and price we got (about 90? for the night). PROS: - Decent location (it's a 5 minute walk from Monumental station, and not so far from the Sagrada Familia that it can't be walked); - Good staff (they gave us tips on where to go in our day at Barcelona and how to get around); - Decent bathroom and furnishings - bed was alright - Good wifi strength even in the rooms CONS: - Room was a little small - my wife and I travelled light so it wa... Excellent hotel. Very clean. Staff very helpful. Good breakfast. Location very good. Metro just 2 blocks away and within walking distance of the Gaudi's Cathederal and pick up point for open bus tour. Warning, book ahead, via internet, for lots of entrances - else will have to wait a long time for entry. Nothing negative about this trip; apart from could have had longer!!

The room was basic, no tea and coffee facilities in room, but some basic toiletries which were not replaced each day. The room was made up really neatly each day and the option of fresh towels if required. Air conditioned, so it was good when the room got hot. All in all, a good stay.

Two friends & I spent 3 nights at Acta Antibes in mid-June 2016. The hotel is well run and the staff are really helpful, without intruding on guests' privacy. The rooms are air-conditioned and the beds comfortable. If there is one improvement I would recommend, it is providing tea/coffee making facilities in all rooms. Breakfast is continental buffet style and does not need to be pre-booked - you can decide on the morning if you want breakfast and be billed at the end of your stay. The hotel is ... Read more

We selected this place based on reviews and availability of a double room for family of 4. The rooms are extremely basic. Shampoo is in small packets. No iron available. No balcony. They are clean and AC works. This would have been fine if we were not paying almost 1000 for 3 nights. Prices much higher on weekends.

The Acta Antibes was a nice quiet hotel close to public transit. Staff was friendly and helpful. The neighborhood was more of a local area which gave you a better feel for Barcelona rather than in a central tourist area. Not as much English was spoken in the neighborhood though which could be problematic for tourists with limited Spanish.

The hotel is located in the central area of Barcelona, just 10 minutes walk to Sagrada Família. It's a quiet neighborhood and by bus you can travel to other major attractions easily. I booked a room for 3. a king size bed in one room and another twin size bed in another room. I can enjoy some privacy even traveled with my parents (and slipped out in the middle of the night without them noticing). Room is simple and clean. We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights with our 2 teenagers. Having stayed in many family rooms over the years, the room we had at Acta Antibes was by far the best. It was two rooms in one so we all had plenty of room and privacy. The hotel is clean and comfortable, the staff speak excellent English and it is in close proximity to monumental underground station. It is a little way out from the centre of things but nonetheless we would definitely return to this hotel in the future.

If you are looking for amenities like a kettle in the room or a minibar then this hotel isn't for you. This is a two star property that is a 1-1.5 kms from Sagrada Familia. We were in Barcelona for a long weekend and booked fairly last minute. We paid about £70 a night for our room which is pretty good for a European city and were quite happy with our choice. It's quite close to the Sagrada Familia but we also walked all over the city from our hotel. The hotel is fairly basic but very clean and had everything we needed.
