I have spend 5 nights in the Hotel attending a conference in Barcelona. The Hotel is modern and very clean. Internet is free in the reception area but not in the rooms. The breakfast is excellent with a wide selection of food. Opposite the Hotel there is a large Shopping Center with more than 200 Shops including Restaurants. I went there for Dinner. Spanish food is available The attractions are easy to reach with a Taxi. The staff is friendly and helpfull. I can truly recommend this Hotel for a ... Read more

It took me 4 attempts to get into my room when I arrived at this hotel. Each time, I had to go up in the lift with my bags, and then having failed to get into the room, go back down again with reception. The whole process took about half an hour. The first time, they gave me a key card that didn't work. The second time, they gave me a key card that worked, but it was to someone else's room, who looked rather surprised when I walked in. I suppose it could have been worse. At least she was fully... Read more

If you want to enjoy your stay in Barcelona, I think you should consider this hotel. 8 minutes walk to Platja de Llevant beach. Shopping mall just in front of the hotel, metro station couple of minutes from the city and it takes you around 12 minutes to reach Catalunya heart of Barcelona. The hotel architecture is modern, you will realise that the moment you step in. A huge waiting area at the lobby level, rooms are small but clean and tidy.. An outdoor pool with perfect view.

We stayed at the AC Marriott Hotel April 22 and 23 while there was a Spanish Festival going on in the Fairgrounds about a 5 minute walk away. Festival had 20 or more Copa's going on which were competing dance groups. Spanish women wearing traditional gowns made this location the perfect place to stay. Right across the street was a modern mall with food court and Mc Donalds as well as other reasonable priced restaurants. Very close to Metro which is very easy to use and cost only 10 euro for 10 t... Read more

Stayed with my girlfriend for one night of a few we were in Barcelona. Fantastic, modern hotel in a vibrant area with a big shopping mall just over the street and only a short walk to the beach. It's not too far from downtown and its on the bus tour route which was a bonus. The staff on reception were very welcoming and although the room wasn't quite ready (we arrived before check in time) concierge quickly took our bags and gave us some tips on places to go and explore. It's a great location if you've got business at the Convention Center--but I should've stayed at the Hilton right next door. The rooms are small and claustrophobic feeling (doesn't help that the room is decorated in mostly dark brown) but the bed was comfortable and it was clean. I checked in on a Sunday, dead tired. Laid down on the bed to rest only to hear a group of people in a "drum circle" outside my window. I called the Front Desk to see if I could change my room to a higher floor and they... Read more

We stayed here for a very fair rate during a fair of e-commerce that took place next door. The check-in was easy and quick, I could leave my luggage, as the room was not yet ready. The room was modern, view of the sea, even though the beach is not very interesting there. They have a bar with a small pool on the 13th floor, which is nice for a break. Gym was fine, breakfast was very good with a wide range of fresh food. The only poor spot was the internet connection: You could connect ok in the... Read more

The stay at the hotel was pleasant. It's location from airport and main attractions is a bit far, but an easy taxi ride will take you where you need to go. It's approximatemy to a shopping centre and good restaurants make up for the distance. Night staff while I was there were extremely friendly and gave wonderful service. Day staff tend to be busier to give you attention, need to be patient. Beach nearby is a little bit of a walk.

All rooms come with big bathtubs and views over either the ocean or the city and its mountains. Bedside power outlets and complimentary water. The windows can be opened slightly for fresh air. The 13th floor pool deck has exceptional views (especially during sunset) and provides a great swim ?? if not too crowded. The bar and pool area are worth the view, really the nicest place in the entire hotel. We had room on the ocean side (regrettably no balcony) and we had a huge window so one w... Read more

This is the perfect business hotel. Everything you need for work and pleasure. Highly recommended but doesn't come with coffee in the room and limited options. Also doesn't have a sauna as it seems it was removed and replaced with a bar.

Hotel is really nice and modern, attached to the forum convention centre. Very close to the beach, has a rooftop pool with a nice bar area. Rooms have no tea and coffee making facilities at all (which I read about before hand, and as a Brit this is disappointing) but I brought a travel kettle with me!! Hotel pumps in fragranced air to the lobby due to the odd sewage smell that resonates outside due to its location to the beach and docks. Big shopping centre opposite the hotel, with a McDonald's... I must admit, although some risk averse aspect of my personality likes the predictability of a four-star chain hotel like Marriot, there is a part of me that wants to be embedded in the guts of a city. My window ajar and the sounds of cafes and bars late at night, a lover's tiff over cobbled streets... the burble of chatter in the distance, and a Vespa driving home late at night. This is not what you get at a US hotel chain: you get the normed predictability that suits the business traveller, wh... Read more

Seems as if all room types here are suite size. They are extremely comfortable and the beds are massive, king size beds instead of queens. I really enjoyed the location of the hotel as well. Would definitely stay here again.

If you need to find an excellent hotel for business or pleasure you should look no further than the AC Forum in Barcelona. It's close to both the business area and main city. The hotel is stylish and offers great value for money without being in anyway detached from the most important aspect - customer service.

This is our second stay at the AC Marriott Hotel and Restaurant. We are here waiting to board the World's Largest Cruise Ship "Harmony of the Sea" for its Transatlantic voyage and entry into United States service. So it is only reasonable that we again stay at what I believe is one of the best Hotels and Restaurants in Barcelona!! It is modern, comfortable, quiet, reasonably priced, a Marriott property and near the seaport, and the staff is very friendly. If there is one complaint it is ... Read more

This hotel is probably ok if you are on a business trip and staying here one, maximum two nights, paied by your company, but not longer. Everything is quite expensiv for what you get, hotelroom, food and drinks and every little extra will be charged as wifi and parking. For being not in the city center, one could expect this would be included in the very high room prices for very average rooms.

Our experience was enhanced by the excellent service from Toni the bartender on the magnificent 13th floor lounge. His Sangreas and mohitos were perfection and his knowledge of his city was wonderful. We thank him for his excellent service and personality. Our front desk service was exceptional as well and all provided smiles and fabulous service.

We had a great stay at this hotel. Very clean and spacious rooms. The breakfast buffet had plenty to choose from. Beautiful views, great food and we had the best Sangrias and Mojitos from Jose Pozo. Great location, short walk to Metro and a taxi pick up in front of hotel. The mall is across the street, perfect to pick up a few souvenirs.

The room was clean and very comfortable. Located next to the Diagonal Mall, plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Short cab ride to the downtown area. The staff was very friendly and helpful, with recommendations and advice.

Stayed here for 6 nights visiting an event in the forum that is next to the hotel. The rooms (standard) were spacious and modern but some wear and tear was clearly appearing at multiple place in the rooms. The room was very clean. The room was however missing a few items like coffee machine and ironing machine that you can normally expect as this price level. After two night they also turned of the airco making it really hot in the rooms and resulting in a few sleepless nights as I could not s... Read more

Since my last stay the hotel has done some remodelling. The major change is to convert the 13th floor fitness room to a bar. From a bar perspective this add as natural meeting place to the hotel - however the fitness room is now a windowless room roughly 5*5 meters on the 3rd floor, packed with equipment. Combined with the fact that aircon was not working in November when I was visiting, I can only rate the hotel average. As a matter of fact - even though the conference I am doing is located i... The location was good, the service was great the amenities are good but the reason that i couldn't give it 5 stars is that the AC was only heater with no cold sitting which is very weired for a big hotel under the marriott management , and needed more attention based on the price paid and the big name
