The food is so delicious and surprising that I would like to eat here every week. The service is impeccable and de sommelier was able to recommend a very good cava based on our preferences. We had a great evening out and came home late but happy. The restaurant is based north of the centre of Barcelona, just a taxi ride away from our house / your hotel. You do have to make a reservation well in advance.

The staff were amazing, responsive to our every need, many great suggestions to explore the city and super friendly. The hotel is very stylish with great decor. We enjoyed the tasting menu dinner with wine pairings... Heavenly. Probably the most comfortable bed we have slept in.

We went this April to the Abac-restaurant in Barcelona and were very satisfied. Pros: - Friendly/Professional staff - Cuisine at a very high level but not through the whole menu - Nice interior - Rather "private" tables, with enough spacing between Cons: - One or two courses weren't as creative as they need to be in my opinion

16 courses over 4.5 hours with wine pairing. Each dish carefully crafted and presented with precision. All four of us agreed that this restaurant had the qualities of an easy top ten experience for us. Attentive staff, excellent overall service and amazingly created chef. Only comments from the two women were that they found a couple of the dishes a little too fishy for their liking. But we are in Barcelona and the other parties found the fish dishes to be excellent. The decor is contemp... Read more

It was all that l expected ,beautiful and serene.Loved the reception ,service and the food was great.Good location easy access by car or hop-in-tour bus.I loved the glass walled shower room where you can still watch the TV whilst having a shower (or draw the curtains if you wish).A must stay again when in Barcelona and would recommend.

We had a suite of some sort, all very beige and white. Calming and zen like. The bathroom was fabulous, the living room was nice to have, and the bed was nice and firm. The room was well appointed, and had terrific lighting. The check-in/Front Desk staff are terrific, welcoming, and have your best interests at heart. They helped me with a variety of questions and recommendations, they were all very good at what they did, and how they helped me and my husband. Of course, the main reason we ... Read more

Absolutely loved the rooms!!! From the large bed with softest sheets to the fluffiest pillows and the nightly turn down service with delicious chocolates! Our trip was made memorable by the smiling friendly staff. The check-in included a tour of the amenities in the property and even the kitchen!! Our room tariff included the breakfast that was a delicious start to the day with fresh fruits and a selection of breads, meat and an egg dish that is simply out of this world. We stayed here for two nights on our journey from the UK to Murcia and had such a wonderful time we decided to book again for the return trip. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, nothing was too much trouble. We had dinner in the restaurant and although our dislike of fish can be somewhat challenging with tasting menus, the chefs came up with some wonderful replacement dishes. The wine pairings were just perfect and really complemented each course. We would highly recommend the hotel ... Read more

We stayed 3 nights at ABaC and we loved this place. The room was superb with a great bathroom and superb facilities. The staff was excellent and everything was perfect. The breakfast in the garden was excellent with great food and excellent service. The hotel is a bit out of town (which we enjoyed!) but the city centre can be easily reached by Metro (10 minutes). Overall an amazing boutique hotel and clearly our first choice for our next visit to Barcelona.

Simplify exceptional. We went for the more extensive tasting menu as it was my husband's 40th birthday and was blown away with the quality of the food and the service of the staff. We got to meet the chef Jordi Cruz at the end which was lovely. Not cheap but worth the money and would definitely return.

Room amazing, very comfortable and spacious and we had long windows on 3 sides, good shower. Quiet residential location but 10 minute walk to nearest metro or 20 minute taxi ride into the center which was ok but disruptive if you wanted to go back to the room during the day. Good spa although jacuzzi water lukewarm. Only food option is Michelin star abac restaurant, breakfast is ?31 per head! Would go back but for a 5 star it has some glitches

My partner and I enjoyed 7 nights with the team at ABaC. Below are the highlights. The bed: Ridiculously comfortable and extremely hard to leave. Rain shower: 10/10. Metro: The metro stop in 200m away from the hotel, thus making trips into the city a breeze. It's the final stop on the line and only takes 12 minutes to find is way into the city. Room service: We were unable to book a reservation in the restaurant which was the only disappointing part of our stay, however the room service ... Read more

What a wonderful experience at this hotel! We were looking for a nice hotel to stay in for a few days for my young daughter to recuperate from unexpected emergency surgery. The penthouse suite happened to be available for those days. Totally private, beautiful view, spacious deck with dining table, loungers and hot tub. Bed was wonderfully comfortable and the entire staff was so helpful and kind to us. We were not able to eat in the restaurant, but the room service meals we had were fantast... Read more

I had the tasting menu 16 course with wine pairing. My favorite dish was the quail egg with risotto. It was succulent. 2 dishes out of the 16 I wasn't a fan of. One was a squid with black ink coated rice. It didn't sit well on my pallet. The sommelier was knowledgable. Overall incredible experience. I have friends coming next week and told them they must eat here.

The ABaC Hotel, from the outside, does not look like a hotel, rather more like a modernist mansion of glass, steel, and wood, hidden behind towering wooden gates in a leafy suburb of Barcelona. Once inside the modern-minimalist ethic continues, shaded on the sumptuous side, with electric curtains, B&O televisions, a shower that imitates a torrential rainstorm, and many other dazzling accoutrements. Our experience of the hotel was generally excellent, save for the receptionist bizarrely suggestin... Read more

This was our second stay at the ABaC hotel having enjoyed 4 nights there previously in the penthouse room celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. We said at the time it was a 'once in a lifetime' experience. We were wrong. Within 12 months we were back in the same room for 3 nights and the hotel didn't disappoint again. So what makes it so special to us? Firstly, the amazing private balcony that when you out enjoying the sun, it feels like a sanctuary in the city. Add outdoor dining and a... Read more

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights for business. Very small hotel with 15 rooms. Grounds are lovely and well maintained in a chaotic busy town. It felt like you were in a different world. The spa and lounge are very small, but nice. No pool or workout area, which I found odd given the caliber of hotel this is trying to project. I had to walk 5 minutes from the hotel to exercise at a gym, which they had an agreement with. The room was nice, however there were odd moldy smells from the shower a... Read more

Unfortunatey the staff took away from the experience. With a couple of exceptions the wait staff had expressions of indifference and severity. The ABAC is in an older part of town but has all the amenities of a 5-star hotel. Very minimalistic. Dinner is quite nice and the breakfast is too. Very nice reception. The room we had was quite small but had a huge curved HDTV.
