don't believe what some of the doubters say , this hotel was lovely the staff were really friendly especially ROSARIO on reception, nothing was too much trouble. the room was excellent (full sized fridge & 2-ring hob with a sea view at no extra cost. the food was plentiful & varied (amazing soups, plus the best tasting hash-browns I've ever had) the only downside I found was cold or luke-warm beans (the baked variety)!! We had a nice weekend break ... 30th April to 3rd May 2016. Luckily room had absolutely no noise at all.... Extra bead was lousy. Very bad mattress. The main 2 beds were good. Daily cleaning and change of towels was excellent. Superb and timely cleaning. No real animation or games in the pool area. The surrounding is great. Good walk near the beach area. Food for Vegetarians does NOT much choice. Despite informing the reception, not much of help. But we were Not fussy. In that sense Ba... Read more

stayed here with my husband, daughter & friend in August, plenty of sunbeds available, pool area very clean and spacious, seafront location. We were a bit dubious because of the proximity to 'Veronicas' however, this wasn't an issue, the noise level was very low even @ the peak clubbing times, lots of shops, restaurants & bars & a lovely walk along the beach front, couldn't fault it, restaurant had lots of choices for breakfast & evening meals.

Read lots of reviews, bars wise it's right outside the door and just a short walk to Sian Park, Hard Rock Cafe or shops. Can get loud at night but if your a deep sleeper it's worth putting up with for what your paying for and getting, the beach is like right outside the back so didn't use the pool as looked busy constantly and didn't need to. Food wise - went half board and that was great in allowing us to explore and find some great local restaurants!

A room with a view, and what a view. Unfortunately that is the only exceptional thing about the hotel. It provides exactly what you pay for, basic rooms, average food, good service and a great location. A real mix of guests, couples, lads-on-tour, elderly etc. We were half-board, in hindsight would probably stick to bed and breakfast. FOOD: The buffet in the evening was just average, though when you are providing buffet dinner to that many guests you can understand why. Nothing was awful, just... Read more

Great place for the younger person as it seamed to cater for the stag and hen dos , the entertainment every night was very good , the down side to staying at hotel sol is the noise because it's very close to the night life with music blaring out until 0600 am . We loved being here and the location was brilliant(if your going for a girls/boys holiday) the hotel was right on the strip! The breakfast was lovely however the beans were cold (but wasn't that bothered about it) and the staff were helpful. The hotel was clean and room was fab! Also I'd recommend trying one of their frozen strawberry Cosmos!!

I found the food very good in general. Staff very helpful and very little noise from my room which was on the 6th floor overlooking the pool and sea, perfect. Stayed here early May with a friend on a girls holiday, second floor with a good view. We were out most nights but on the one night we stayed in it was very noisy until 4am but you expect that with it being where it is! However we didn't expect the noise of the wind coming through the balcony doors, don't think they quite shut properly but thankfully after a couple of days the wind dropped! Had we not been out on the night time we would've complained but we weren't really in the room that much. ... Read more

We arrived on the 7th July and stayed for a total of 9 nights. The first day that we got there, we went straight up to the room to see that our view was literally of a brick wall, which we were not happy to look at everyday after paying around £600 per person. We did go to go the reception desk and one of the staff had arranged for us to swap rooms the next day. As she promised, when we got to the desk the next day we were given another room which was a lot better and had a nice view. However, ... Read more

My first impression of this hotel was it couldn't be anymore central for shopping and the beach. Shame about the room we were given. It felt like were in a long corridor to the dungeons. But were happy with the room and balcony so didn't say anything. That was until we were rudely awakened at 8 the next morning with banging and sawing coming from the next room. We had stayed in Sol Tenerife previously so knew what to expect. However, we felt on this occasion that the hotel has changed for the worse. They are now refusing any cash transactions after checking in. We had to open a credit account with the hotel for drinks or snacks etc., with a minimum balance of 50 Euros. If less than that amount is spent, they refund it when you check out. You have to present the card whenever you want to buy anything at all in the hotel. The poolside chairs used to be... Read more

The hotel was noisy at night due to other bars in the area, even with doors shut the noise went on till the early hours of morning we heard about this the day before we were due to travel and took earplugs with us and that was invaluable

If you don't want to stay out until 5am every night then you won't sleep, noise from the strip is so loud - bring ear plugs! However the hotel overall was clean, well managed and welcoming. Bar staff are brilliant, reception staff were friendly, particularly when checking in, the welcome glass of prosecco was much needed after an evening flight! Most nights we stayed out until late on the strip but the one or two nights we didn't we couldn't sleep, resorted to buying ear plugs so suggest the sam... Read more

My wife and I had a a nice stay at the sol Tenerife we found most of the staff very friendly, room very clean but needs updating and the room 418 was very noisy as it was overlooking Veronica's which is a night club strip but plenty of sun beds.

would recommend this hotel for location, can be a little noisy in the early hours but well worth this for being so close to everything. Stayed bed and breakfast and must say a good food selection every day. Only gripe would be cannot purchase drinks at the bars unless you but a top up card from reception

My boyfriend and I stayed at Sol Tenerife in October 2016. Service at reception was pretty poor from the beginning of our holiday as the staff don't make you aware of basic details that you would expect. It was like drawing blood from a stone having to ask questions to staff members. We had to pay a deposit for a safe key which we didn't mind. We also had to pay a deposit for a multi plug as there was only 1 socket in the main room which was actually for the TV but we didn't use this for our ent... Read more

Came for a relaxing hotel as I was looking forward to a 4* relaxed holiday... Checked into the room, sorry but I wouldn't have rated it 4*, whereas staff on the otherhand were amazing.. From FoH, Restaurant, HSK, Entertainment staff were pure first class!! Would most likely to come back as it's right on the strip for a gals holiday, so not a long stagger walk back to the hotel plus staff are sucha laugh.

Stayed in the Sol Tenerife hotel for a short break over a weekend and had the best time! The hotel is in a great location, right on the beach and near Veronica's plus lots of restaurants and bars around. The hotel was clean, efficient, comfortable, the breakfast was good. The pool was busy but lively :) the rooms were fine, kept very clean, was treated really well. You could hear the music from the strip but it wasn't thumping and you could hear the waves on the beach too. The wi fi was good t... Read more

I went for a week on the 12th of November and the weather is absolutely beautiful. The location of the hotel is good however the downgrade is when you are put in a room with no view when you requested sea view and being moved, I dont understand why they dont allocate sea view from the beginning specially when you stay for more than 4 days,. The half board price is shocking comparing with the food and drinks prices outside the hotel and on the buffet you eat same thing for like a week..... . Roo... Read more

We were very impressed with the hotel. Rooms were very clean and the maid service extremely efficient. We had a sea view which was lovely but it was noisy until 4am as right next to the strip. I think I would ask for a quieter room next time, I'm sure we could have moved but it didn't really bother us too much. The All Inclusive drinks were goods and strong and included cocktails as well!! The food choice was excellent and extremely good. The animation team were brilliant in the day as well as e... Read more

This hotel was far too busy for us.We were all inclusive and the dining room was just like a motorway cafe. People rushing here there and everywhere in order to get their food. Very noisey !! We dined out several times because we couldnt face the constant hassle. We met a lovely couple and they stayed in Block A (The one facing Veronicas) and had to be moved because of the noise. They then had money and clothing stolen from their room. They werent the only ones either. If you stay here make sure you... Was pleasantly surprised with this Sol hotel after reading so many negative reviews. Firstly noise at night and in the early hours was no problem at all as we didn't hear any! Our room 1073 in B block was very clean had 2 large beds pulled together, a fridge and the usual things such as sea facing bathroom and shower and so. One small complaint was that the bathroom needs renovating but having said that was clean and quite useable. Food was as expected from Melia with a wide variety at all meals... Read more

Good hotel, good food. Wifi bad. Need to sit in wifi zone at reception to have good connection. Up 7 am to have a poolside bed. Certain people put towels very early in the morning. Interesting to look at from the balcony. Not allowed but hotel staff can't do anything about it.

Got a noisy room at first, but requested a change and the staff were fantastic at sorting this out. Absolutely wonderful - could not fault hotel, food, bar service on all inclusive and staff at all. The location was central, but to be honest we did not venture out of the hotel to eat as the food was really good and the selection very varied.

Hotel was clean with Very good service, breakfast buffet and snacks were well presented with loads of choices, pool area was spotless and all service was first class, the only real negative was noise from Veronica's but it wasn't bad unless you were sitting on balcony. Highly reccomend this hotel

Food was cold most days. Poor quality hotel. This is not a 4 star. We were very disappointed overall with this hotel from food, entertainment, quality or lack ofnit, the beds were rock hard woke up every morning with awful back ache. Noise from the night clubs. fighting outiside. Vile hotel. Hated every minute of it!! Beware!!

Hotel too close to night clubs and the area plagued by touts and prostitutes offerings. Dont open the balcony door if it is windy as this will damage your bathroom experience whereby the ceiling to the bathroom raises six inches and the light fitting falls down

Good hotel if you are All Inclusive but not if you H/B or BB. Defiantly would not take children unless guaranteed a sea view quiet room because of Veronica's strip! Night time completely opposite to day time at hotel, it's like a different place
