My friend and I stayed in the Vanilla Garden from late July-early August for a week and I can honestly say this was one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Our experience was flawless from start to finish. Firstly the hotel is exactly as it looks in the photos and is absolutely spotless, a gorgeous boutique style establishment. I loved the modern décor, completely different from a lot of hotels in Tenerife which can be grubby and run down looking. Our room was gorgeous and modern, and very spa...
Our room was gorgeous and modern, and very spacious with plenty of storage space. We loved the balcony as well we sat out and had pre drinks every night with our music playing it was gorgeous. The outdoor space was beautiful as well.
Every member of staff was so friendly and lovely, nothing was ever a bother especially the gentleman on reception most days sadly didn‚??t get his name but he was the best! We received a glass of champagne on arrival which was a nice touch, and there was a ‚??cold dinner‚?? in our room for us as we arrived at 11pm at night and the restaurant was of course closed, we didn‚??t eat it as we preferred to run across the road to the Indian takeaway for chips and cheese haha! Which by the way was fabulous for drunk food on the walk home from the strip. The pool area was amazing, easy to get a sun lounger despite some other reviews I‚??ve seen, cocktails from the bar are delicious and on a Wednesday and Saturday they have a DJ and Saxophone player which were both fantastic and great entertainment.
The location was honestly perfect. Being 20 we were looking for a week of chilling during the day and partying all night, this was made easy as we were literally a minutes‚?? walk from the Veronica‚??s strip which is wild in a good way and so much fun, cheap and lively. We were virtually across from one of our favourite bars, Rumours. In saying this, Vanilla Garden was tucked away in the perfect spot which was just far away enough that you literally can‚??t hear a peep from the strip, but can still walk home. We were also a 10 min walk from the Siam Mall which was stunning with great restaurants and shops including Zara, Bershka, Pull and Bear etc. Also about a 15 min walk from the Safari centre and the Hard Rock which where we had an amazing night going to Harrys Cocktail bar after dinner in the Hard Rock, we however didn‚??t realise how close we were and got a taxi but it was only about 5 euro. The best part for us was that we were able to actually walk to SIAM PARK!!! Which was fabulous as we heard a few people complaining about the bus system when we were there, and it was just so much easier to be able to walk there and back instead of having to wait about on buses and dropping off at other hotels. Siam park is directly across from the Siam Mall. Also, there is a 24 hour convenience store straight across which was A GODSEND for grabbing crisps, sweets, juice etc for just having in the room they also sold alcohol if you‚??re looking for some for your room, we often jumped in there after getting our chips and cheese on way home to get cans of irn bru haha.
Our rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels replaced, the maids came to our room around 2.30-3pm which was great timing as we were always out. Our safe stopped working for some reason which was a bit of a panic as our passports and money were in there, saying the code was invalid. However we just went to reception and explained and someone was at our room within 5 minutes and fixed it with zero hassle and he was lovely as well! The air con worked great also.
At dinner time there wasn‚??t a lot of choice however what was on offer was delicious and there was plenty of it. This didn‚??t really affect us anyway as we ate out most nights even though we were half board, but the breakfast was beautiful with a range of sausages, eggs, cereals, fruit etc. I would highly recommend Martini restaurant across the road from the hotel it was AMAZING!!! If you like Italian it‚??s a must and the cocktails, staff and service were fab (apart from the RUDE guy who stands outside all day trying to get you to come in, he was annoying, he was probs the manager but just ignore him lol rest of the staff are brill).
When checking out (which was at 12pm, brill as we were hungover from the night before) we were able to book a half hour slot in a refresh room where you can shower and change etc to freshen up before your flight which was great for us as our transfer was picking us up at 8pm for our night time flight. As we were out at the mall all day it was good to be able to freshen up.
Cannot say enough good things about this hotel and I can‚??t wait to return next year!
