The rooms are basic but good for a short stay. We had an issue with our first room ( advice keep away from 1-8) but this was sorted to our satisfaction. Food is reasonably priced and was good. 10 min walk to beach and local bars and restaraunts. Pool was nice to have.

This will be a lengthy tale but one worth reading. So book a trip for 5 days to recoup. Read the reviews on here and got slightly worried so emailed the hotel. Explained I had booked to bring my sister out after dealing with some stresses and was worried about the reviews. They write back.....don't worry the hotel is lovely...there are no issues....all rooms are lovely. So we arrive and see a sign on the door saying the pool area is closed all week.........OMG. So we speak to the guy behind the... Read more

After reading last review was a bit concerned what the hotel was going to be like .Not to worry, friendly staff . Rooms sufficient to what we expected very clean and crisp white bedding. Nice bar area and pool. Free car parking and short walk to a lovely beach. Just perfect for what we wanted . We had a great time there so don't be put off. At 40e a night for 2 it's cheap as chips. Breakfast was extra at 10e only had it 1st morning and was good . Yes carpet in corridor a bit dated but that's no... Read more

Just came back yesterday and still in such a shock from this hotel. 4* hotel?! Room- mould in the fridge, in bathroom, shower curtain was covered with something looked like blood, wallpaper torn, dirt seems to be in all the corners. First two days the smell of bleach was sooooo bad. Noise at 3am, like somebody was cleaning a room and moving the furniture around. And it's every single night. At least they change towels every day. Take off one star. Actually two!

Las historias de horror son ciertas, no tirar su plata en un hotel que no es para nada 4 estrellas!!! PLEASE READ AND HEED THE WARNING We arrived around 5:30pm, to check swiftly into the hotel and then hopefully straight out onto the swimming pool as it was a lovely sunny day. We had driven past the hotel a couple of days previously and actually stopped to ask reception about availability of rooms and looked around the swimming pool and it all looked reasonably good. However, the reception a... Read more

It's a holiday inn so you know what you are going to get. The staff are great. The food is fine , everywhere us clean. The pool is in a large area and there are ample beds. The location is 5 mins to the be ach and 5 mins to the avenida naciones line 4 tram. The hotel is low rise which is nice. Theresnot much to fault but it is getting a bit tired.

I booked a long weekend break in Alicante for myself and my partner using IHG Rewards points for the hotel stay. The hotel is situated in a residential area about 800 meters from the main promenade / beach area of Playa de San Juan where the majority of the local bars and restaurants are congregated. The walk back from the promenade is uphill, but not strenuous in any way, and the hotel is also close to numerous tram stops if you wanted to travel further afield on the excellent Alicante - Benid... No fridge in room. Curtains torn. Refused room on lower floor but was told non available only to find out there were rooms available. Asked to see manager and was kept waiting 30 minutes and when I asked how much longer I would be waiting a rude bearded young receptionist went off in a rage and sent someone else to tell me manager was not available. Eventually saw manager who offered me some credit which never materialised. On the final night received an apology letter at 11.00 pm and next day r... Read more

We travelled to this hotel with expectations that it would be like a travelodge - we hadn't paid a kings ransom for our stay. The hotel is scrupulously clean, and the rooms were very well designed with everything you need. All towels, toiletries, hangers, safe, all the bedding you could need and very good air conditioning to name a few. There were some scuffs etc but in a busy hotel these are to be expected. The bathroom was surprisingly large, and well designed with copious amounts of hot w... Read more

Where do I start..... The rooms are very outdated and in need of a modernisation. The pool is nice expect the staff that work there don't seem to like the British, as the group of us were playing in the pool and they were very strict in how loud, what we could do, drink etc. Yet for the Spanish people they were fine. The front desk had a sign which states that 'all major cards are excepted' when exchanging money.. But it turns out that they only except cash but when I attempted to exchange mone... Read more

It started well, checked in no problem around 12:30 - went to the pool, ordered drinks etc. - so far so good. Told we can get towels for the very cheap plastic Sunbeds at reception - so went and asked - " yes sir, ?10 deposit each" so I suggested that they charge to the room - " no, we must have cash". Now, as we had arrived not long ago we hadn't yet changed the Brexit £ for funny money - so no towels. Why the hell they couldn't hold a deposit against the room I have no idea - the clue is ... Location is good, with a bus stop outside, 5 - 10 minutes from shops, bars restaurants and beach. Excellent pool with lifeguard. Only had breakfast (12 euros) but worth every cent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We did have to move rooms a couple of times the first was we had been put into a twin instead of a double. The second move was due to excessive noise next door. We were surprised when they moved us into another room in the early hours instead of asking the family in the next room to keep the noise down. The hotel itself was in need of a refurb, with carpets worn, wallpaper coming away in places. The food on the whole was good, but room for improvement I w... Read more

This was our ninth stay at this hotel and each time it gets more and more tired. The decor and fittings in the room were exactly as they were ten years ago. Gone is the mini bar in the rooms. Wi - fi is worse than dreadful and room cleaning is poor. The lounge bar also has not changed. Pool bar is also limited in the times it is open now. The bar after a request for Smirnoff vodka still did not have it after five days after they ran out. Sorry to say we won't be back for a tenth time.

Hotel itself and rooms need a upgrade to this century. Everything looks and feels very old. Besides that hotel has nice facilities: pools for adults and kids, tennis court, play park for kids and even the gym which at the moment is kind of empty room. We tried breakfast and dinner and we didnt like the food, although price was cheap. Hotel has free Wi-Fi but it doesnt work very well. A lot of free parking is a plus. Shame Shame Shame This so called 4 star hotel to be a part of the Holiday Inn group should be scrubbed of their member list. I've visited this hotel six or seven times over the last five years. Progressively the decor has become more and more tired and become desperately in need of a major refurbishment. On my last visit (stayed on the first floor), the door would not lock, the mattresses on the bed left a lot to be desired and the air conditioning was only any good if you sat directly under it. This is a bit of a problem with 35°C outside and the room only has a single glazing. The room also backed onto the delive... Read more

The staff were friendly enough, but the building itself was pretty poor, particularly with the price we paid for it. I've stayed in many tired looking hotels before but always after paying a really cheap rate for it. The whole thing could do with a refurbishment; the carpets were torn and there were dripping ceilings in stairwells! The television in our room was straight out of 1995, although the picture was too grainy to bother watching it anyway. Breakfast was mediocre and there were pretty ... Read more

We stayed in the hotel for a few nights and considering the price we expected a little bit more. We had a junior suite which was basically two beds (one of which was an uncomfortable sofa bed), a chair, bathroom and an extra TV aswell as a kettle! The balcony was pretty big but no decent view. The room was first floor and close to reception at the top of the stairs so noisy at night (we would have requested a room change had we stopped longer). Have stayed here many times and although moderately disappointing in some areas some new changes have really jumped the shark. 1. Pay up front for entire stay at check in. What hotel does that? 2. Pay 40? up front for pool towel service. 3. Fridge removed from room. 4. Filthy carpets on 4th floor. 5. Broken toilet flush Stay tuned for day 2-8! As usual nothing will change and a shmo from IHG will respond thanking me for feedback and nothing will, change.
