Stayed here for 4 nights with my husband and 13 friends. Thought the hotel was more for business users than holidaymakers. No balconies, tea or coffee facilities in room which we were made to believe there was, no safe deposit boxes in rooms either. We asked if we could have tea and coffee facilities in room and was told hotel did not supply even though we were willing to pay and knew the superior rooms had. The roof top terrace and pool was very small with a maximum of 10 loungers every time we... Read more

If on business, this hotel would serve a purpose for 1 or 2 nights. We were a group of 15, a mixture of golfers and shoppers. We thought it would be an ideal base. It was. That's it. The rooms and other areas were all clean and tidy, couldn't fault that at all. Breakfast was crowded and for the amount of people there, not enough provisions were made for seating or the replacement of empty platters or table clearing and cleaning. When tables were eventually cleared to a trolley near the back... Read more

One night in Alicante before meeting friends flying in following day. C6 bus from airport simple both ways and bus stops within a few minutes of the AC Alicante. Hotel let us check in at 11am - thank you. Booked through Travel Republic - great value which included free wi-fi and breakfast. Great rooftop pool and terrace, room modern and very clean. Didn't eat in hotel but had a few drinks - very reasonably priced. Would definitely stay here again. The 15 minute walk to marina and old town was no... Read more

I recently stayed one night at the AC Hotel in Alicante before a day of business meeetings. I choose the hotel because of its partnership with Marriott Rewards but anyone looking for a clean reasonably priced hotel close to the airport and to the main parts of Alicante should stay here! My check in was very fast, and the front desk staff spoke perfect English. The hotel is not smack in the middle of Alicante, but just a few short blocks away. I was upgraded to a slightly larger room because o... Read more

The staff is very friendly, the rooms are very modern and nice decorated. The food of the restaurant was delicious and the swimming pool was also nice. The location of the hotel is very convenient, just 15 minutes from the airport and you can reach the city center in walking distance!

Stayed in this hotel for a few nights last week. It's fine but I wouldn't stay here again. Not close to beach, no balcony, pool tiny and no windows in restaurant. The whole place feels like it's in the middle of London. Oh, and the breakfast was appalling - little choice and nothing cooked fresh. No fish or fried eggs. For the same price stay in the Melia - much better.

This is our third stay at this hotel and we'll be back again next year. Location/distance from Alicante airport is ideal (a hop, skip & a bus) and if you've never visited Alicante your missing a lively city with some great bars and fantastic food. The hotel is pretty basic but has a decent bar (don't get stung with an 11 euro G&T like we did), sun terrace on the roof with a pool (limited sunbeds so get there as soon as poss when the door is unlocked - 10am) and decent size rooms with modern (but... We spent 10 days in s wonderfully run AC chain by Marriott. I felt safe, the wonderful desk clerk named Jaime went out of his way to help by doing such things that were above and beyond like allowing me to bring him our room service order for communication ease. The restaurant was above average in quality. I am grateful Marriott had folks on staff that could handle a multitude of languages. The room was Marriott standards!!!!!!

The rooms are large as is the well fitted bathroom. Nice bath towels and toiletries although I am not a fan of shower gel so I always keep a tablet of soap in my toilet bag. Good hair drier in the bathroom Everything was very clean. Underground parking is very tight if you have a medium to large size vehicle. Only down side is the breakfast room as tables not cleared away so flow of guests stunted and break fast not good value for money as selection poor . ( as mentioned in other reviews ) Woul... Stayed one night before a flight early the next morning. Staff very helpful and professional. Offered to supply us with a complimentary early bag breakfast as we were checking out early the next morning. Hotel and rooms were very clean and the rooms very nice. Good location near old town restaurants.

Stayed here during weekend visit to Alicante. Check in was OK but felt a little formal and not welcoming. Our room was on the 1st floor and faced a brick wall. The room ok but was very dark and clinical as was the rest of the hotel. The roof top pool and bar were nice albeit a little small. Breakfast was average and choice limited. Location was a little far out and the walk into the centre became a little tiring doing this twice a day. Having stayed at the melia alicante last year, ... Read more

This is a clean and smart modern hotel located a short (15mins) from the harbour and restaurants. I chose it because it was a little out of town for the feria and I stay at the AC Palacio in Malaga. I particularly like the roof top pool, where you can relax in the morning. It is a small area and the pool is small with only a few sun beds, so go early. The food in the hotel is good and the bar/restaurant staff are charming and very attentive. If I go back next year I will definitely stay here a... Read more

Stayed at the AC Alicante for a short business trip which I was happy to extend for a day of sightseeing in Alicante. The hotel is really good and has very good service. The breakfast was really good, though served through week days at 7 which is a little late if you have to go into work early. However they have plenty of choice of food and even serves to a gluten free diet. The room was good, standard business rooms with a good bed, clean bathroom, a desk to work on and quick wifi. We booked the hotel for a few days holiday in Alicante. At first it felt more like a business hotel so we felt a little awkward in our beach wear but that feeling soon passed. The staff were extremely professional and attentive. The hotel was very modern with free wifi. Our only issues were the pool was quite small with no available sun loungers and the hotel was quite far from the beach, on both counts these were issues the hotel could not resolve so top marks from us

I stayed at the Marriott for a conference taking place in the City and was traveling alone. I had a nice room with air con, clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable and the curtains shut out light. The pool is on the roof and is small but just about right. I found there to be plenty of sun loungers at that time of year. There is a small bar down some steps at the end which I didn't know about as there is no sign to tell you although once I knew I bought a beer here (Expensive though). I fou... Read more

We have just returned from a break at this hotel. The hotel itself is very good, clean, modern, friendly staff. The only downside really is the location, its a little our of the way from the main frontage and the views from the roof top pool are abysmal as you look over the dock area - where cranes are offloading and loading ships. Not a pretty sight. There is also a fight for chairs around the pool and no one supervising when towels are left for long periods without the occupiers. We were ... Read more

This is a lovely hotel. All staff were very helpful and efficient. We spent 7 nights here and had an excellent bedroom on the 5th floor, a good size, nice bathroom, very clean but would have liked a king size bed as standard double feels small. Good to have a fridge in the room and on most days we got 2 small bottles of water on a complimentary basis. I stayed at AC Hotel for two nights after a music festival at Benicassim with my girlfriend and two others. The room itself was pleasant, modern and clean. However, there were a few minor improvements I would suggest. There was no iron in the room, which is a hassle when you need to iron a shirt in a rush. I'm sure there would be one available if asked at reception, but with pressing time that can be an issue. Aside from that, the free wifi available was super slow and lagged frequently. I u... Near the bus station (almost opposite) and that is where the C6 airport shuttle bus stops too. Fare â?¬3,85 single trip bus ticket. I struggle to write anything positive about this hotel. As a former flight attendant I have stayed in many hotels across Europe so I know a good one,or in this case a seriously lacking one, when I see it. To start the check in staff at reception were in efficient (it took over 20 minutes as there was a mix up with my booking). The location was poor,it's certainly not city centre. It's on a very quiet street opposite the bus station and at night I didn't feel safe walking back. I stayed in a cent... Read more

The staff were nice and helpful. The location is ok, but not much use for visitors of city or beach. The rooftop pool is tiny and over subscribed. Nice headline feature of hotel but disappointing. Don't expect a good nights sleep with lots of continuous doors slamming because they are not designed to close gently, and obviously it's beyond people's courtesy towards fellow man to bother even trying to close them carefully. The only negative we had for the AC Marriott in Alicante was to do with the rooftop pool, loungers were in short supply and if you went for a " lounge by the pool to tan" type holiday this hotel might not be the right choice as it could prove difficult, the hotel staff especially Maria were superb , but as they only had about 8-10 loungers it was a fight to get up there and secure a spot. Okay, overall it was a fantastic stay. The staff and the cleaners were very very nice. The ONLY "not so good"-thing was that there weren't any Iron in the room as a standard. So everytime we wanted a Iron we had to call and wait for 20 minutes for the staff to come with an iron. So out of 5 stars you will get 4,5. So please bear this in mind as it is in a industrial area, sounded on all 4 corners by prostitutes, who the taxi driver cared to inform us was the transvestite hotspot of the city (if that's your thing) 6ft guys dressed up in drag offering there services.
