Visited the hotel May 8th to the 15th (a week) we went on holiday as a family (all inclusive), my partner and i stayed in room 192 and my brother and his children aged 8 and 4 stayed in room 193 we had a double room and my brother had a family room. We did request rooms via email/phone so we could be next door or as close as possible as this is quite a big complex. On arriving we were greeted by a lovely woman and gentleman behind reception, they explained everything we needed to know and was very friendly! Everything was smooth and quick. They even offered some sweeties to the children which was a nice touch.
When we got to our rooms just wow, as just a couple the size of the room we had was plentiful, we had a lounge, bedroom, bathroom and terrace. The rooms were spacious, clean, bright and modern. There was also a flat screen TV in the lounge which we didn't use but you can translate the channels into english on settings, the wardrobe was 2 glass sliding doors and had enough room for our clothes etc, the terrace was large with beautiful well kept flowers and grass we could literally just step over the wall which took us next door to where my brother was staying which was great as we came together. The rooms were cleaned every single day, the cleaners were also very friendly, they swept and moped all the floors, changed and made our beds, replenished everything we needed and also left a nice towel made into a swan or flowers tucked into something which was a lovely touch to come back to which made us smile, the cleaner even made a swan out of my nieces blanket and ribbon everyday which she loved to come back to. The air con in our lounge did not work or couldn't get it to come on but we didn't bother asking reception as it was quite cool anyway. Our room had a ceiling fan which we didnt turn off thoughout the whole holiday as it kept our room at a nice temperature we did find my brothers was a lot more powerful than ours and his air con did work. After 10 minutes of looking round our room we had a call from reception confirming everything was ok with our room which was nice! Very quiet at night also.
All inclusive food and drinks were great. We never went hungry and always found something to eat, the food was hotter than expected for an all inclusive which was good, they cooked your eggs and omelet to order every morning just how you wanted it, they had different meats and fish every night that was also cooked to order veal, rib-eye steak (which was my favorite), chicken, pork etc, also a lovely gentleman cooking fresh spag bol or pesto which was nice, they had a Mexican and Chinese food station whilst we was there, cant comment on dinner as we didn't eat it a lot, the desserts were great chocolate fountain every night, lots of fruit and cakes. The drinks were spot on, the beer tasted great which we did drink a lot of. You only have to pay for branded names or you could have their brand free (if your all inclusive) The snacks from the bar were nice also, chicken nuggets, burgers, hot dogs, toasties, pasta, salad with or without chips. They also had snacks like muffins and cakes at a certain time. The only down side was they only served ice cream from 5pm-6pm which i think is a shame for a family hotel personally i think they should be served throughout the day.
The pool was big, quite cold but you get used to it when your in. They also have a smaller pool for smaller children or babies, they had a pool near the park which was very quiet but small. They were building another pool further down whilst we was there.
The entertainment team were fab, they were great with the kids and trying to get everybody involved (but wasn't pushy), they did water polo, aerobics in the pool and other games tennis, football and other games during the day which is fun for everyone! We really enjoyed the night time entertainment the magic show, comedy night, games night and the parrot show is a must to watch! Special thanks to Roberto you was really great!!! :-)
The location is ideal with a dino/shop a 2 min walk away, a walk down to the shops and beach is about 5-10 minutes depending on how far you want to go down. Or a taxi back up for 3 euro ish. A shopping mall and McDonalds 2 mins down the road and a burger king a minute away. Aqua land and Siam park only down the road. Las Americas which was also down the road which was about 4 euro in a taxi.
Free WiFi, which only really worked in our room or reception.
We booked with the hotel for Siam Park water park which is a must to visit, the best water park i have ever been to. And also Aqua land the dolphin show was brilliant. You could get a free bus to both but we decided to get a taxi which didn't cost a lot 6 euro to Siam and 5 euro ish to Aqua land.
The staff were all very friendly and are always happy to help and always have a smile on there face! I could say a lot more in this review but i would definitely recommend this hotel, ignore the bad reviews you see and give it a go, would love to return in the future.
Thank you Dream Villa Tagoro!!
