If you are visiting Seoul to shop (or with kids), this is the perfect hotel. The service is fantastic, from the time you arrive at the hotel and greeted by the doormen until you leave. The indoor swimming pool was kid friendly and very nice. Don't pass up a chance for the Korean Body Scrub and massage in the hotel. It was amazing! The Westin Chosun is centrally located to the finance district, and more importantly within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Across from the hotel is Sta... Read more

Overall great experience. Everything was as expected for the price you pay. A nice, well stocked room and fantastic and friendly staff. Personally, the best part was the gym. It is the biggest and best hotel gym I have seen. Lots of equipment so there was always a treadmill available. Also had an amazing assortment of free weights and machines. Didn't miss a beat in terms of my workout. Very convenient location with a marked stairwell in the subway exit.

Great location, big rooms, extremely helpful personnel. The Japanese restaurant at the top floor is amazing and apparently the best in town, offers a great view over the city. The breakfast is one of the best that I had, and the hotel overall offers everything from a flower shop to a pastry shop and cafe. Will definitely come back here!

I visited the Westin Chosun twice in 2 months this year. Service is very good ( from front desk to housekeeping). The rooms are of decent size and well maintained although I think some rooms have been renovated more recently than others so they are slightly newer than others. Good things I like about Westin Chosun : 1). Proximity to Lotte department store - only few minutes walk so if you need to do any last minute duty free shipping it's easy 2). Large gym with great facilities. Also large swim... Read more

This Westin was perfect in many ways. First off, the location - it's located at a subway station making it very convenient to get around the city. It's also right next to Starbuck's in case you need your morning fix like I do. (However, there are Starbucks on every corner in this city). Aside from that, it's right next to City Hall and the Myeongdong shopping area. It's also about a 15-20 minute walk to Gyeongbokgung Palace. The hotel itself has all of the modern amenities you need to have a c... Read more

Spent one night at the Westin. Functional, quiet room. Good power outlets and wifi for the business travel. Quick room service. Breakfast restaurant was excellent. Hotel did an excellent job arranging cars- drivers were timely, knowledgeable and friendly. Solid value

We had a problem with the electricity in the room for the first night but that was looked into promptly. The gym is well equipped although entrance was interesting. Overall an excellent stay. The bakery downstairs was nice and convenient for breakfast on the run.

I was very impressed by this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel lobby is a dream and the breakfast is great! Seoul has a lot of nice people. It was a great experience! Unfortunately there was two down-points: 1) The room I was using (541 or so) did not exactly meet my expectations. The carpet had two big stains. As a frequent traveller I was disappointed of that. I've been to a lot of lower classified hotels in all over the world and never saw something like this. 2) The ... Read more

My husband and I recently stayed at the Westin Chosen while visiting Seoul in April. We could not have been more happy with this hotel. We loved the location, kind and courteous staff, the decor, the comfortable bed, quiet air conditioning and quiet room. We chose to stay in a room with access to the executive club lounge and are glad we did. It was well worth the money. Breakfast and evening "snacks"/ light dinner/ wine are included in the price of the room, as well as one way transport to or ... Read more

Very convenient for travel - right by the subway entrance. Make sure to have access to the executive lounge, the happy hour is great for free drinks (alcohol included) and snacks, and the breakfast buffet in the lounge area is also good. It seems more exclusive than having breakfast downstairs at the buffet, whilst having the same selection. The rooms are all similar, and specious with good views and ample seating and amenities.

Spent 4 nights at the Westin Chosun having selected the hotel primarily due to its central location for a city vacation. The location is very convenient for anyone looking to explore Seoul and within walking distance of some of the key sights in the city. Room quality and staff service level were in line with expectations (relative to room price). Booked an executive room with king size bed on the 12th floor which was quiet and clean. Centrally located, very clean and comfortable. It's the Westin so you know you can trust the quality. Short taxi ride or healthy walk to the tower, local dining and interesting markets. Don't eat there... the dining room is ridiculously expensive, and the bakery prices are out of this world! At the airport, exit Door #4 and take the shuttle, around $16 for the almost one-hour ride into the city. Best deal!

Great business hotel which checks all the boxes. Staff is very courteous and well-trained, rooms are nice, location is perfect and the upside is that all the cab drivers (that usually don't speak English) know where it's located which saves a lot of frenetic map pointing! The reason for the 4 star review is that nothing really stood out for me compared to other business hotels and the 18,000 kwon charge after tax etc (15usd!) for a standard cappuccino seemed well excessive. The hotel was absolutely great. The staff are so professional and courteous. Most speak at least a little English, if not quite fluent, which was great. The hotel itself is very nice and located right next to Myeongdong. If you exit the back of the hotel, it's about a 5 minute walk into Myeongdong shopping area. The rooms are comfortable and nice, as well as very clean. Great value for your money. We stayed for about a week and would most definitely stay again.

The Westin Chosun is a fantastic business class hotel in the heart of Myeong-dong, the shopping district and situated between two stations, City Hall and Eujiro(1)-ga which meant it was highly accessible. If you need to go to Incheon airport there's a limousine bus service that stops right in front of the hotel. The rooms are spacious and being a SPG guest I got the SPG floor - there was a nice touch of having some cookies put in your room. Being a person that uses the gym, I found the gym to b... Read more

Just few hundred meters you have many shopping malls and a nice pedestrian shopping road with the famous night market. Around there are many very delicious Korean BBQ restaurants which you shall try. I don't know it's true but one of the oldest hotel in seoul is the Westin chosun. It is located in the center of Seoul, easy to access north and south in 20-30min by car. Good caring of guest, professional staffs from bell to executive lounge. Love the korean house keeping ladies - they are the world best !!!! I stayed in June this year and coming again next week. Excellent location, very close to Myong Dong shops and beside Lotte department store. This hotel has good restaurant if one wants to dine in. Myong Dong area also has lot of option for food. Staff are friendly and efficient.

We stay at the Westin every time we come to Seoul for business due to the hotel's proximity to our meetings. Inside the decor is quite old and dated but the rooms are comfortable, although not too generous in size. Breakfast buffet is nice and serves a wide variety. Overall not the best of all Westin hotels in terms of decor but it meets the business standard and the service is good. The bar staff are always very friendly and attentive.

Great location, excellent service, attentive and extremely helpful staff. Concierge nailed the restaurant recommendation based on our description of what we were in the mood for. Also proposed a walking tour that took just the right amount of time and exposed us to modern Seoul, ancient Seoul in the form of a palace, some shopping and some of the famous street food. Highly recommended.

We spent one night in this hotel after having spent a few nights at the Four Seasons. Both are very good options. The Four Seasons is newer and rooms are a little nicer. The Westing is better located, closer to the "action" in Myeondong. In any case, a very good choice

Hotel Staff were warm, friendly and overall very very nice. Great service and a very good experience. The food and options at the Lounge level were great. Only feel a little more options could be given to vegetarinism in terms of food choices. Hotel Location was awesome, accessible and safe.

??Although it is showing some wear and tear (it is after all all Korea's oldest hotel), the Chosun--now Westin therefore Starwood--is a great, reliable, professional, un-boutiquey (in a very good way) institution. The service is impeccable. The standard rooms are well appointed even though they are not too spacious. There is free wi fi, and coffee machines and electric kettles in the rooms, along with nicely designed toiletries. The best rooms face the mountain. If you manage to have access to... Read more

This was the 1st trip of us visiting Seoul. I had requested room upgrade and additional blanket, humidifier to set into our room which were well organized. However, the sound proof in room was really unacceptable. We can easily hear door closing, knocking, somebody speaking, running nose in a very early morning (e.g. 5:00am!) noise from bathroom for washing or bathing...etc. As we usually woke up late (e.g. 8:30am or later), we can hear sounds of staff using the vacuum cleaner clearly! The sou... Read more

The Westin Chosun is a 'must stay' when doing business in the City Hall area. The airport check-in worked well as did the hotel transport. The room was comfortable as was the bathroom. Overall, the staff did their best - but, as often is the case in Korea, women travellers took second place to male travellers. It was hard to get attention from the male waiting staff in the Vecchia E Nuovo; although we ate there on two separate days. Finally, this will sound churlish, but having read about t... Read more

A modern central city hotel. It's an international high standard hotel with a really good ground floor bar. Often with live singing but it's still easy to just sit and chat while listing. Great service and very comfortable.

Location: This hotel is located in the business/commercial district of Seoul and near to City Hall. Within minutes walk to bustling and busy Myeongdong area - many shops and restaurants. The famous Lotte department store is located almost adjacent to the hotel. The metro station is located nearby and it is more convenient to travel around Seoul in the Metro especially during peak period. The other main commercial/business area of Gangnam is 20-25 minutes drive away. KAL Limousine bus from Inch... Read more

The location is good. The rooms are out dated. The service is average at best. Food is ok. Members lounge is ok. Gym is good. No SPG loyalty. The restaurant is average, the Japanese restaurant is meant to be really good but I felt the service and food was average. The bar is overpriced with horrible cocktails. Overall nothing exciting about this property.

Stayed in the Wesin Chosun for 4 nights for a business trip with customers. Eventhough it was not my first stay in the Westin Chosun, I have to admit that the stay in this hotel is always a pleasant experience. Everything from check-in to room arrangements (for me and for my customers), staff response and even SPG recognition was up-to expectations, not to mention the F&B at the Aria or the bar on the 1st floor (forgot the name). Overall, myself and my customers all enjoyed the stay in the Westi... Read more

My husband and I are both confused with the negative reviews of this place. Maybe others had a bad experience, but we certainly did not. People complaining that this is not a super nice hotel were expecting a Ritz or St Regis. But this is a Westin. We have stayed in over 30 Westins around the world and I can vouch that this is on par with other nice Westins. First, the location can't beat. Second, the staff was so nice and helpful. Third, the rooms were well appointed and comfy... very typica... Read more

My family and I recently visited the Weston Chosun hotel for four days. The hotel is clean, the staff was friendly, and it is within walking distance of a lot of attractions in Seoul. The Concierge service was great. They pointed us to several outstanding food outlets and markets. The only issue we experienced was getting additional complimentary waters in the room. For a family of four paying nearly $400 a night, one would think the hotel would properly service the room. Both waters would be co... Read more

We were charmed by the quality of the environment and of the service we received there. The Westin Chosun is very well situated of course. But more than than the young woman who helped us at the Concierge desk gave us excellent advice on how to navigate the subway and to discover the many streets and corners of Seoul which are well worth exploring. The room was great, the restaurants excellent. Our stay at the Westin Chosun was a great way of coming into Seoul for the first time.

Our room 836 ticked all of the boxes. It was fairly high up and at the end of the corridor on a corner. Having a sofa and coffee table was very comfy and love the Westin toiletries. Like Japan the toilets here have many extra features you didn't know you needed! Service here is friendly and efficient and we loved the cards from the concierge to take out while exploring `Please take me to the Westin Chosun' written in the local script for taxi drivers. The Lotte department store is right next do... Read more

Level of hotel service and professionalism of staff is excellent and the location is not bad at all if you are interested in shopping in the myungdong area. View is not the most spectacular as it is surrounded by other office buildings though So if you are expecting a view on the palace or something, it is not the best option. However, they have everything that city hotel can offer. Breakfast is amazing and variety of choices. Overall, my experience with this hotel was very satisfying.
