The hotel is a small property in the heart of Myeongdong, amidst the bustling shopping and food streets. You will never go hungry, spoilt for choices when it comes to food and also an excellent location for skincare and fashion shopping. In the tiny area alone, there are 2 mega Zaras, H&M and Forever21. The streets are also lined with Innisfree, Faceshop, Etudehouse,Olive Young and countless more. Stalls also close late, even on weekdays. The area is usually packed with throngs of people, touris... The Grand was in an excellent location in Myeongdong that made the area and the rest of Seoul very accessible, but was still quite when it was time to rest. The service and staff was very good as well always helping us find new places to explore and giving recommendations about Seoul. We were literally two minutes away from the airport shuttle stop and subway station. There were also a TON of shops and food stands surrounding the hotel so won't ever worry about eating. Overall great stay and wou... Read more

Location is good - close to airport limousine stop and Myeongdong station (though I admit line #4 isn't very convenient). It's close enough to everything but slightly away from the heat of it. Staff were very friendly and communicated with me in fluent English (though the female staffs tended to be "cooler"). Love the free laundry (you need to buy the detergent, but it's only KRW 1000) and not many people seems to know about it. The rooftop garden was a bit of a scam though (sorry.....) We hav... Our stay was from 9 May Mon to 12 May Thu. Room 803 was rather small but was expected after reading the several comments here. Upon reaching the hotel and discovering the limited space the hotel was built, it was not their fault actually. We booked the deluxe twin room and felt kinda shortchanged cause we saw 2 beds on the photo advertised in the web and was given a room with only 1 bed. We are still fine with it as there's only 2 of us and we were out most of the time. The Air Con Fan was quite... Read more

First impressions are generally lasting impressions. And as soon as you enter the Grand, the welcome snd genuine engagement with guests is apparent- notwithstanding that English is a 2nd language for them. The other immediate observation is that this place is spotlessly maintained, clean and tastefully furnished. We're still at Reception by the way. Glassed display cabinets, soft but focussed lighting and an adjoining small 'business' area with 3 or 4 Apple PC's is simple but extremely functiona... Read more

We were extremely happy with this hotel. The location is fantastic right in the shopping area...walking to the night markets....catching a is really central for many attractions.Very safe. The staff were friendly and very helpful with booking our tours. Our room was a delux so it was quite a good size for 2 people. 2 bottles of water in our fridge daily. Tea and coffee faciities. Great bathroom with bidet. We also chose to have the buffet breakfast downstairs. Scrambled eggs daily with ... Read more

This hotel has all the elements to deserve the top ratings. It's conveniently located in the Myeondong district, where you can shop and eat till you drop. The service is excellent, front desk staff speak good english and very courteous and helpful. Room is not big but clean. The entrance is 100 meters from the airport bus stop and faces away from the main street so it is nice and quiet even though it is in the busy shopping area. Great value for the price you pay.

VG...but....WHY OH WHY did they insist on getting our wedding date when they don't use it????? It was our 40th Wedding Anniversary while we were there, yet NO ONE said a word. We though that since they'd made a point of asking our wedding dates during the booking process, that they might have offered us "something" on the day.....but Great area for food but their breakfast is overpriced & very ordinary. Pics of the food on their website must be from a differe... Read more

Stayed here for 6 nights in April. We had 2 Deluxe rooms which was of reasonable size and adequate for us. The room comes with tea and coffee making facility, a safe deposit box and bottled water replenished daily. The bathroom is a little small but comes with nice Innisfree toiletries and modern bidet. Wifi was strong. The location is near the Myeongdong subway station (Line 4, Exit 10) and perfect for exploring Seoul. Nearby there are many shops and restaurants and street food stalls at... We stayed five nights on the seventh floor in a deluxe twin which was quiet, clean and comfortable. The hotel is new and spotlessly clean. Service is impeccable. Location is excellent if you are a tourist as Myeondong is at your doorstep. Plusses include slippers, bathrobes, lobby computers, and fancy electric toilet with butt cleaner. Minuses were bad, over-priced breakfast which we examined twice but skipped, slow elevator, and late afternoon maid service which surprised us a couple times to... Read more

Perfect for shopping as it's right in the heart of a shopping district which includes night markets, high end shopping (shinsagae) and duty free shopping (lotte dept store). Perfect for food. Located on one of the shopping streets, there are also tons of food options to choose from including Korean BBQ, Korean delicacies, desserts and other food like Japanese, Chinese. It was really exciting moment for me to be in Seoul in June as I love Korea food specifically I'm a fan of spicy chicken and lamb. And the travel guide, Jeff, was so kind, so I could enjoy different style of food easily and could better understand about Korea food. I would visit Seoul again at the end of this year since this trip was too short for me to fully enjoy about Korea food and sightseeing.

Front desk staff are observant and very helpful. They never fail to give a smile to guests walking past. Love the spaciousness of the room and the comfortable beds. I will definitely recommend it to the friends, and if I need back to Seoul again, I will still book this hotel. It is walking distance to subway station and airport bus stop. The shopping was so easy in moydongon when I stayed there, and the street food and popular restaurant is so easy to reach.

The hotel is conveniently located near Myeongdong subway station and a popular shopping district which is full of shops and restaurants. The hotel looks very new. The room is equipped with basic modern facilities. The front desk staff are very helpful and friendly. It was a very nice hotel and we lived in a grand suite, featuring 55 square feet with two bathrooms with bathtubs, a king sized bed and two single beds, which was spacious. I stayed at this hotel for a total of six nights. The hotel is one of the best I have ever stayed in! Check-in was very easy and fast. The room was fantastic with great facilities. It is located in a perfect location with the Myeong-dong Station right next to the hotel. The hotel staff were very, very, very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Korea.

The location of this hotel is very convenience, it's not on the Main Street so even low floor still quiet, I don't like to use heater as make my skin dry, the window in room can open, it make me feel better, the hotel staff is nice, even I passed by the lobby at mid night they still smile to me and said hello, room is small but I think it's normal at Myeongdong, most important is the room is very clean and new.

Let's first get one thing out of the way: the room is small - not small by Asian standards, but small for North American or European standards. Great Location - It's a 2 minute walk from the Myeongdong Subway station (Line 4), but BEWARE - many subway stations in Seoul do NOT have escalators or elevators at every exit, so hauling luggage might be a problem for you. Not to worry - there's also an airport bus that stops pretty much right next to the station as well. What else can I say about th... Read more

A welcome relief from the heat in July, and well located in Myeong-dong. A smaller hotel, but with friendly, attentive staff and clean, modern fit-out. Unusual policy of requesting full payment when you check in(!) but found the hotel fine. Washing machine and dryer in basement was also a blessing for a travelling family. Rooms were on the small side, but perfectly functional and comfortable.

Hotel is located at Myeongdong where shopping paradise is, friendly and attentive front office staffs, provide clear direction to taxi driver to come to the hotel from airport. Room is clean, compact, and we can have the conference call in the hotel room without disturbed by the busy environment round the hotel. For short business trip, this stop over enable us to buy popular Korean cosmetics for family members. there is also a Airport Shuttle bus stop about 5 minute walk round the corner.

This hotel is very functional - the location is good, bang in the middle of shopping haven of Myengdong, the service is about efficiency and no hassles. If you intend to spend most of your time out and about in Seoul and want a hotel that will allow you to do that with the utmost of ease, this maybe the place. You are near major retail outlets as well as Nam san park / cable car, North Seoul tower, Namsamgol heritage village and Namaemun Market. The hotel is boutique style, not too large, not too small. It was a bit of a disappontment that there was no bar apart from complimentary coffee and, of course the breakfast. The Grand Hotel is tidy, very compact in size but pleasant. The location is key to this hotel. It is right in the center of Myeong Dong so an ideal place to crash for a quick shopping spree in the area and a couple blocks from the Airport Buses.
