This Hotel was selected and booked for us through a Korean travel agent as part of a one week round South Korea independent tour. ShinShin's position is very good with many sights within walking distance. The standard room was compact (18.75m2) but well equipped with small fridge, hair dryer, air conditioning, electric kettle, cable TV, bathrobes and slippers. Our room had separate shower and toilet with the wash basin being next to the entrance in the room itself, so no bathroom as such. Note ... Read more

Stayed here for more than a week while visiting Seoul. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, particularly in explaining how to get to places in Seoul. My room was very clean and comfortable, with a spacious shower. The breakfast was diverse, with both Korean and western food available. For guests who do not like the chill from an air conditioner, the air conditioner can be turned off and a window opened. As this hotel is well away from the busy streets there is little noise at night to interfere... Read more

I'm not one to write reviews but this I had to make an exception for. Arrived at 10am for early check-in on June 2, 2016. After taking a shower and getting ready for a nap after a red eye flight, I noticed a brownish stain on the interior of my blanket and the bed sheet. Quite horrific so I asked management to check it out, they apologized and changed the sheets and there was nothing more to it - no room upgrade, no free meal, no discount. Strange but whatever, I moved on. When I went to the l... Read more

Had a couple things we loved about the place: the hotel had such a fun and fresh design, and was extremely clean. the details were very well thought out. there was even floor heating, although we didn't get to try that out as we went in the summer! (the three hottest days in Seoul, ever, apparently) the staff were also very, very friendly, no communication problem whatsoever. we were able to leave our luggage with them, check out (slightly) late, and they even gave us all bottles of water as we... The hotel has many eateries, restaurants and pubs surrounding it. And few mins walk to City Hall mrt station. Room is clean and quiet, Bed is very comfortable though hotel has only seven floors so no nice views. The only thing to take note is the aircon will turn itself off in the middle of the night when a certain temperature is reached and there is NO WAY to disable it. Which makes the room feel stuffy. And I woke up many nights because of this. I have stayed in many other hotels and have nev... Read more

From time of booking through to check-out, the service was impeccable. There was no problem or amount of information that the hotel staff was unable or unwilling to deal with. The room was small but light, clean, and quiet. Often hotel air conditioning blasts cold air and is noisy. This hotel's air conditioning was flexible and could be set on a low, quiet setting which could add comfort without disturbing the peace. The location is great. In the midst of a big city, it is located on a pea... Read more

The best thing about this hotel is their service. Whether is helping us with directions, technical issues with my portable wifi(which honestly is not even their problem) etc. The staff was ever so helpful and accommodating. That was all that mattered to me as I was travelling just with my daughter. Thank you and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who plans to stay in Seoul.

This hotel is in a great location. From the moment we arrived we were treated with extreme kindness. The staff helped us navigate around to the sites we wanted to see. Very close to markets other sites. It was my son and I in a superior twin room. The rooms are small compared to a US hotel but plenty of room for us since we were just there to sleep. Beds were comfortable and room was very clean. Would go back for sure. Thanks to all the front desk employees hat were so helpful!!!

The service was great, they were very helpful. I arrived on a late flight and had told them before hand that I would be coming in late to check-in. I walked in and they had everything ready for me, so the process was very quick. Which is perfect when you are tired. They also gave me a map and some idea's of places nearby to visit. The room was clean and big. The bed was very comfortable and I got one of the best night's sleep during my whole trip. The hotel is also perfectly placed if you like t... Read more

I stayed here with one other friend for 4 nights and we loved everything about our stay! The service was amazing and the people at the front desk were extremely kind and helpful. The lady named Hasmine (sorry if I spelled your name wrong) was super nice and she even helped us call a taxi to our next destination. The two guys working on the night of June 23rd were incredibly helpful as well and we want to thank you for upgrading our room and helping us navigate to places nearby. We will definitel... Read more

ShinShin is a smallish, modern, and youthful hotel. The location is excellent in the heart of the city, walking distance from some of the major attractions, like the City Hall, Gyeongbokgung palace, Namdaemun Market, and N Seoul Tower. The reception was a bit stangely one floor down from the street level, but the service was exceptional. The staff called me by name from day 1. Breakfast was served at a restaurant in another building next to the hotel, but it was pretty useless ?? and expensiv... Read more

I chose this property based on the TA reviews, and was not disappointed. Very clean, and great location. I had only a day and a half in Seoul and wanted to be near the Myeongdong shopping area. It was an easy walk to tons of shopping, and I felt safe walking alone. The front desk was quite helpful with giving directions, too. This is a small, boutique-style hotel, with a restaurant attached. Breakfast there was included in my rate and quite good. I'd stay here again.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights on our honeymoon. Out of all the hotels we stayed at throughout Asia, Hotel Shin Shin was the only one that really did anything special for our honeymoon -- we were upgraded to a suite! And what a suite! Everything was so modern (Korea is so far ahead of America) and spacious and luxurious. The floor was temperature-controlled, the bathroom was huge, and the suite was so tastefully decorated. I loved the whites, greys, blacks, and pops of yellow. Cutes... Read more

Perfect location, super quiet room, very comfortable bed and spacious vanity/shower area. Staff are VERY helpful and friendly. There are a TON of great restaurants and things to do nearby. The subway is just around the corner and you can get anywhere on it. Arriving from the airport Tip: Ask them for specific direction to the hotel, they have a great You Tube video on how to find it using public transportation. We took a taxi from the airport $60 USD, well worth it after a long flight. It is on... Read more

We stayed 7 nights in Hotel ShinShin and found it was the prefect base for exploring Seoul due to it being close to 2 metro stations and walking distance to many museums and palaces. We were particularly impressed with the quality of the modern rooms, ours was well furnished with an absolutely huge king size bed, high quality Egyptian cotton sheets, plenty of plugs and storage. The bathroom area was modern and had an excellent powerful shower! The whole hotel is immaculately clean and there is ... Read more

This is a small hotel with probably less than 100 rooms spread across under 10 floors. It's located near Myeongdong area as well as the Namdaemong market, so shopping is a breeze which includes the Lotte shopping centre and other upmarket shopping malls. Good wifi in the room and elsewhere in the hotel. Due to its size, don't expect any facilities other than a pool at the roof (at least that is all I am aware of). It is slightly off the main roads so its quiet with no road noise. Loved the coffe... Read more

The hotel was easy to find. The stuff are very friendly and helpful. My rom Wald in the main building. The size of the room was as expected. The room was cleanish. The bathrobes and some of the towels had some stain on them. I did not feel comfortable to use them. For the price it was a reasonable choice.

Very cleanly designed decor and comfortable facilities. The staff are very helpful, and their advice is clear and useful. Easy to get to and from airport. Bus stop is very close, and train is handy too, though there is a long walk if you transfer at Seoul Station to get the subway to City Hall station, and then fair walk to hotel if you have a lot of luggage.

Perfect location - a block from the airport shuttle drop off. Very quiet street - good for sleeping! Easy walk to City Hall, palaces, shopping, etc. Our room was small (compact) but good as long as your bags aren't too big. The little restaurant had a decent beer on tap - just wish we could have sat outside at night.

This boutique hotel is hidden in a quiet spot but has excellent facilities and superb staff, most of whom speak good English and other languages apart from Korean. Ask for the link to their YouTube video which explains how to find the hotel and remember the landmarks ?? the easiest way to get there from Incheon airport is to take the 6015 coach from right outside Gate 5 to Namdaemun Market which is the last stop (tell the driver the name of your alighting bus stop when you get on). Shinshin hotel is close to myeongdong so you can walk there, about 5min Myeongdong itself is totally crazy lousy so for staying, I think places a bit far from myeongdong is better, quality is good, eventhough it's a bit small room. There's only one problem, which is semi-transparent bath room. If my roomate is male friend or family, it would be embarrassing Anyway generally hotel itself is good, employees are very kind and friendly, ah very helpful

This is a business trip and I was looking for something close to the shopping area so I can get some retail therapy after work. The hotel fits the bill perfectly. The hotel is just across from the Namdaemun Market and is about 10 mins walk to Myeong Dong. There are lots of cafe, convenient stores and restaurants close by. The airport shuttle bus stop (to & from Gimpo & Incheon airport) are about 5 mins walk which is great. The room is of a decent size for a city hotel. Design style ... Read more
