I stay here for business purposes every now and then. The reception is well staffed and friendly. The rooms are big and modern. Unfortunately the windows of the rooms facing the street are not very well sealed. Maybe you have to go for some ear-plugs. The breakfast is average. Sliced sausage is not cooled which I regard as hygienically questionable.

Arrived at the hotel from the USA at 0930. At check in, we were told that check in time is 1500 and the FD Agent proceeded with an attitude of control. We requested notification once the room was available. Went to the restaurant to have a bite. Returned to the front desk to inquire and were told, "we are awaiting linen." Once again treated without respect for our time and service. We retreated to the lounge to wait. At 1345 I returned to the desk to inquire and the response was, "there is ... Read more

I stayed at the hotel for a conference that I attended there. The room was really comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely superb, more than enough choice. The rest of the menu throughout the day was fairly basic though. The porters, reception and concierge were all extremely pleasant and friendly.

I have stayed in the Maslow for 5 nights and enjoyed extremely the hotel from its cleanness, the high level of service and the well breakfast served. The hotel is located in a perfect spot especially if you are for business in Sandton. I would surely recommend on this hotel and would love to come back. I usually do not give 5 stars to any hotel but this one is very close to that. The only thing which was weak is the hotel did not have a good wi-fi at the room. Shai

Check In : Hotel of this nature could do with more check in counters. Hotel is modern ,room was extremely comfortable and more than what was expected.Staff went out of they way to make up the room. Problem I had was I ordered a Toasted Cheese from Room Service ,when it came it was Toasted Cheese with HAM.Left a very sour taste . Manager responded in a very professional manner to sort out the problem and apologized.

Really enjoyed my stay at this excellent business hotel. Check in was very professional quick and courteous despite being busy. Room was clean and tidy and guest amenities of a very high standard. Enjoyed the gym. Lively bar area with a great atmosphere. Will definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for 2 nights on business, hotel staff very friendly great customer service, very easy and comfortable room, free shuttle is excellent, breakfast was good, I had room service on both nights as late back and this was excellent, good selection of wine and beer and large quantity. Would stay here again in a heartbeat very nice indeed.

I cannot find fault with the hotel except that the Internet was down for a full 12 hours one evening/morning and when it was up it was very slow. The hotel has to realize that business travellers must have good, reliable internet connections. All it would take is to get a couple of fibre lines in from different providers and if one goes down everyone can use the other one. In Sandton there are definitely plenty of options available to them.

After about two weeks of traveling in South Africa, the comfort and amenities of the Maslow Hotel were very welcoming. Although they did not provide the adjoining room as requested in my online reservation, the hotel staff worked with us to get two rooms close together once we arrived. I also greatly appreciated the staff's quick response to my email regarding transfer from the airport, a last minute request as we were tired--the service was excellent. In addition, the staff were accommodating w... Read more

The Hotel is nice, cool Pool and nice Fitness. The rooms are nice and quiet so nothing bad to mention from the hotel. Its sad however that the lunch service in the restaurant is slow today. Ordered a burger at 12:00 und had to leave 12:50 without any food for the next appointment. I tried again for lunch at 14:20. a lot of service personel and not that many guests. Maybe 10. but also this time it takes too long. Its now 14:45 and so far no drinks and no food... Lets hope

A nice modern hotel with excellent size rooms. All facilities for a Business traveller - so helpful in family travel too. It is excellently located with a half hourly shuttle service to Nelson Mandela Square - which has several restaurants and a Nice Mall attached. So No Worries regarding "Safety" The Open Bathroom Concept will however surely be an issue for 2 business travellers residing in a Room or People travelling with Children.

There is a lot to recommend the Maslow. The hotel is ideally located for conducting business in Sandton. With above average conference facilities, great food and a world class spa - the Maslow is perfect for the business traveller. However, the room I stayed in was so noisy that the negatives outweighed the positives. The rude awakening at 4 am every morning thanks to the traffic made my stay less than comfortable. If you do stay there - ask for a quiet room!

Newly renovated property with good restaurant, bar, and rooms but NOT a safe property and therefore not at all recommended for international travelers. I stayed for three nights in July. In a rush checking out, I forgot to collect my passport and cash from the in room safe. The Hotel called me on my cell phone after I had left to advise of the situation and I went back to pick up the folder only to find $160 (8 x $20 bills) missing from the travel folder. The hotel is nice, big, very close to shopping centers in Mandela square. There is lack of privacy as there is no door to the bathroom and the showers door is transparent. It is closed to the Main Street so if you leave the window open it is a bit noisy. Breakfast was very good and lot of choice and diner was very tasty.

I stayed a Sunday night. The staff reception and service echoed this tired Sunday night feeling. The small, cell-like room did. It match my expectations. I also bumped into glass (closet like shower and the revolving door at the entrance) bruising my nose. I went to the bar in search of the advertised sushi. No sushi chef and no chef I was told the night before. I settled for a toasted sandwich which was burnt and also most inedible. Thank goodness the chips were good as was the mini salad so I ... I was on my business trip to Sandton for a week. Room - The standard room is very spacious with everything that you can imagine. The highlight is the rain shower in the bathroom - what fun. Food - I only had breakfast as they do not have many vegetarian options for lunch/ dinner. BUT, the breakfast had all I needed to go in overfull everyday. Service - I was overwhelmed with their service The staff remembered what I eat and how too. In fact, they also picked my laundry as I told them two days... Read more

Hotel has very small rooms, dark grey and black interior, very drop and appears dated. Simplistic approach. After coming from Capetown and the Kruger Park on safari, this was a cold, very disappointing hotel. We upgraded to King suite because it was very claustrophobic for two people to be in a room with two twin beds. Poor location , is in business district but now walkable to Nelson Mandella Square where shopping and all restaurants were located, they did have a shuttle though. Manager Vinay... Read more

My husband and I occasionally use the Maslow Hotel for Jhb stopovers. This is a hot and happening hotel with a great vibe. It is however a huge hotel which I personally find a bit off putting and as a result of it's size one can feel quite isolated. With our most recent visit we were fortunate enough to stay in one of the Junior Suites. It's a fabulous room with loads of space. Interesting bathroom layout...but everything you need is there. We booked a standard room but found it to be very small and paid more for a suit which was very nice and very spacious with a balcony. The breakfast had a lot of variety foods and the service was great. It is not a cheap hotel but i would stay here again!

We had a good stay at the hotel. It is more corporate and not really a luxury hotel, but we still received good service. We stayed in a suite that had a view of the city. The hotel was exceptionally clean and the staff very attentive. It is also very central to most places in Sandton.

Just to make this very clear: this is a lovely hotel with good rooms, nice amenities and excellent service. However, for the price I paid I couldn't help but notice that the hotel should improve a few things. What I liked least was probably the breakfast.i stayed for 6 nights and got really fed up with the same, same stuff every single morning. some stuff wasn't great either, in particular the scrambled eggs. The Maslow is very well located, in the center of Sandton within a walking distance to Sandton city. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious, friendly staff. Nicely stocked bar & restaurant. On the down side, the restaurant service takes very long, we've ordered a couple of burgers they took over 30min to be served.

A welcoming location not far from the Gautrain station in Sandton, this well established hotel is a fine base. It's a bit removed, so you need to take Uber or taxis to get anywhere. The strictly adhered to check in time could have presented challenges, but the shower rooms they generously offer to early international guests suffice.

First time to SA. Hotel was recommended by colleagues. Didn't disappoint. Arrived early to find that company travel agency had made incorrect booking so room had been cancelled. Staff sorted it straight away. There wasn't an iron in the room - sorted very quickly. Good facilities. Helpful polite and friendly staff. Food was good - Cesear salad very enjoyable. Minibus service to Mall was very useful and on time. Taxis ordered were good value. Hopefully will have the opportunity to return.

Quality hotel, just missing something. Room was clean, but a bit cluttered for me. I like chic, open and uncluttered. The breakfast was excellent, although service was a bit disappointing. It is a luxury hotel, but lacked something to make me want to relax and enjoy the hotel. The bats in the trees are bit surprisingly noisy, fortunately it stopped at some point, and my ear plugs were needed to get to sleep.

Generally good hotel, staff is friendly and breakfast is good. Room service is quick, but food quality depends on the day... I was generally happy with my stay, but the only "con" are the concierges. They don't really give recommendations and when you ask for alternatives to the companies they work for for different activities (horseback safari, lions park, etc...)they start to ignore you and changing the topic, even if you insist they just say indirectly that there are no alternatives... which... Scouting around on places to host a baby shower we came across The Maslow, at first the interaction with the event coordinator the service was quite poor.
