Very clean hotel. Very safe and quiet. Staff members very respectful and willingly assisted quest. We felt at home room services were prompt and satisfying. Break fast was the best I have seen in hotels. Will stay there next visit. Will recommend to my friends.

Thaba Eco Hotel is a gem of a place hidden in joburg. the sense of being in the bush envelopes you as soon as you drive through the gates and the birds singing reinforces this feeling. the venue is stunning and the decor is tasteful and just plain beautiful with a rustic feel to it.

We had a very wonderful experience for the 4 days we stayed at the hotel attending a wedding from the UK. The location was excellent with lots of grounds. The grounds are well maintained and well set out. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All you need was to ask and it was done. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The complimentary mini bar was well stocked and restocked daily. The food was excellent. All the service was with a smile. The meeting and wedding fac... Read more

Fantastic service! Warm welcome. Eco drive was really informative and our tour guide was excellent (think it was Andre). Staying in a luxury room which is very tidy and has all the amenities we could ask for (just missing some bubble bath for a soak). Only negative which really isnt much is that the carpet by our barfridge was a bit wet and we did get called and rung at the door for the evening eco drive we didnt book for ð???. Cant fault it otherwise

Excellent modern furnished rooms, spacious just like the comfort of home. The staff is friendly and always by your side for service enquiry. It's a tranquil venue that is good for short weekend breaks which feels like the mountainous country sides of South Africa yet in the middle of Johannesburg.

Second time staying at this hotel. What is important to me is service consistency. We were received efficiently by friendly staff, golf cart to carry ourselves and luggage to the room. Stayed in luxury room. Enjoyed the plush carpeting and under floor heating in the bathroom. Appreciated the complimentary snacks and mini bar ( this is a first for me, usually everything is charged extra) The view is bush veld and the best you going to get on the outskirts of Jhb. I would rate my experience as being mixed as I really enjoyed the facilities and tranquility of the venue and location. The Spa was really good and I have sent through my suggestions on how they can improve their offering. I however did not have a good experience with the staff serving breakfast. I am not sure if there is a certain bias towards certain racial groups by this staff in particular, but I was completely dissatisfied as a paying customer by the service that I received.

We stayed two nights in an upstairs unit after a long flight from Australia. It was the perfect location to decompress and get acquainted with South Africa. The room was large and comfortable, located a short walk from the restaurant Kraal. Our breakfasts were delicious and the severs attentive. We had lunch at Kraal, splitting a halloumi cheese salad, then on to a green curry chicken and rice dish and a surf and turf steak and prawns plate. Excellent quality and enormous by half portions. ... Read more

What an extraordinary hotel! I simply cannot recommend this hotel enough. The staff, the hotel room, the grounds, the food, the tranquillity, the game drive, the game and bird watching - WOW, incredible and exceptional. There was not one detail not thought of to make our stay in this hotel as comfortable and luxurious as possible (quite a feat when you are travelling with two toddlers below the age of four). Outstanding services, the staff is friendly and welcoming. The porters are pro-active and patient. We were welcome by a nice friendly receptionist. We booked to stay here as a romantic treat for my husbands birthday. The reservation staff went out of their way to cater for my every wish. Our room was a luxury upstairs unit. We were very happy with our spacious and comfortable room. The bathroom is massive in comparison to your average hotel bathroom, with his and hers basins, which was a pleasant surprise. I recently spent 2 nights here as part of a business trip and the venue was selected as being convenient to businesses in the south of Johannesburg - road links are great and this proved to be a good location close to major freeways. Just sent the last couple of days on conference here. Awesome food, Awesome Service - Rooms are great and so much attention to detail. Nobody walks past you without greeting. Such a friendly bunch of folk. I am often on conferences and nothing was too much trouble at this venue and normally at the evening functions the bar service is poor if you are a huge crowd attending - They just made it all look so easy and service way above expectation - Well done folks

This eco resort is very nicely done for the middle of Johannesburg. The most amazing part is that you actually feel (sort of) that you aren't in the big city. There is plenty of open land and the facilities blend with the environment. HOWEVER, while the rooms are very nice, there are a few "less than expected" things.
