The Hotel is located not too far from the International Airport. Hotel is Motel style, each apartment has a parking lot in front of the house. Rooms are clean but without any luxury. Basic equiped. Internet very slow - not up to standard. Check in staff at the front desk is very friendly. Service staff at Breakfast very unfriendly. Do not greet any of the guest. Breakfast start at 6.30. Was there for 5 nights - the breakfast was never ready at 6.30. Service staff during breakfast is not paying a... Read more

I will quote what another traveller wrote as it is the truth: "This place needs a lot of attention. It is old, run down, dirty and very outdated. Mercure brings you back to the '90s with only 250MB of WiFi per day included." Filthy chairs, noisy and inefficient aircon. 2 forks and 2 spoons and one knife and one wooden spoon in drawer in self-catering. This is a disgusting place.

The hotel is next to a new shopping mall and about 15 minutes from the airport. The Wifi is really bad and employees is not able to change this because it is from an external provider. For a stay you get only 250 MB free. But most of the time Wifi doesn't work. The restaurant offers a kind of fast food in aluminum shells from the micro wave. The complex itself is very nice and well maintained

Check in was slightly offhand and we were not offered a room upgrade. We asked about a late checkout but were told we would have to ask in the morning - not as per the member benefits. They also could not find a free drinks voucher (usual for Gold or Platinum members). It was delivered to our room but as we were going out we did not expect to use it anyway. The room we were given was pleasant enough but was actually not ready fo occupation as the bed had not been made. Distinct impression wa... Read more

This was an absolutely terrible experience poor facilities. Old run down furniture. No shower only a bath.and they do not cater for Halaal breakfasts. The check out took so long I even went for breakfast in-between and the receptions was still not ready with my check out.

Nice and clean hotel apartment, for sure we would like an update, and that upsdate includes a shower instead of a bath. Rooms are comfortable and large enough. the only thing is that we have to ask for pans etc..otherwise we find the necessary equipment for drinking a coffee or beer on the terrace.

I was staying here for the first time, I did not mind much about the hotel as it was a night stop. The place is secure, but not very comfortable. The location is excellent for shopping, across the road is the Eastgate Mall and there is lots of restaurants to eat from. The Internet connection was not great in room 116, I suppose it the furthest room away from the reception and other public areas at the facility. The facilities in the room include a stove, electric kettle with tea/coffee provis... Read more

I've been staying at this hotel for many years. Very secure complex, opposite East Gate Mall which has many shops and restaurants only five minutes walk in to the foodcourt. Rooms were great as 2 double rooms (expect to pay about R1200 per night) separate space for open plan lounge, dining room, and kitchen. Rooms are nice and clean, updated shower, but in need of refurbishment any time soon. Although on three separate occasions, there was no hot water in the shower. On all three occasions, onl... Overall the stay wasn't very bad and the staff was relatively polite. The rooms are fairly quiet but the furniture and furnishings are low rent. The breakfast is overpriced and has little variety but the quality of the food is fair enough. The WiFi is only free for the first 250MB. Then you have to pay exorbitantly for just a few extra megabytes. Even then it's ridiculously slow, it won't even play low resolution video with full Wi-Fi signal. I'd book it again only if there was nothing else avai... Read more
